“great support and user-friendly”
Pros
Whether you are looking to refresh your skills or learn something new, it does not take long to get the hang of things. As the layout is incredibly simple and user-friendly making it easy to dive right in.
Cons
I have never really had a bad experience since the support team has always been able to sort out any issues that come up.

“So many errors”
Pros
We are using the payroll feature and it took a lot of effort to set it up initially. Also we don't see much value in rolling out the other modules we purchased because, shortly after we signed on, the company was acquired by Ceridian which only plans to support the products for another year and a half.
Cons
Well we constantly have to fix errors made by Ascender's outsourced payroll team. What made it worse was that right after we signed up, the company was sold meaning the products we invested in would not be supported or improved once our initial contract ended.

“user-friendly and flexible integration”
Pros
It is user-friendly, flexible and works well with other programs we use.
Cons
So far I have not run into anything I dislike on the contrary, it's been really helpful for what we need.

“Avoid it at any cost”
Pros
The only part of the system I would suggest buying is the Performance Management Module.
Cons
There is a real disconnect between the sales and product teams. Sales oversold us on PeopleStreme modules that don't save time but they actually create more admin work. After we bought them, the product team just offered workarounds to make up for missing features. PeopleStreme cannot even commit to timelines for their own roadmap. Also there is very little automation in the modules we purchased, the system runs extremely slow and we cannot bulk upload historical data like past job ads, position descriptions or resumes. The modules don't integrate with each other which means more manual work for our HR team. There is no employee landing page showing basics like hire date, department or job title, info that is already collected during onboarding. Now the sales team tells us that page is only visible to them due to their access level and was not part of our package. The Onboarding Module also does not support capturing cross-boarding data within PeopleStreme.

“Well-suited for complex university settings”
Pros
It is really well-suited for university settings and has been for a long time. We have been working with Ascender and the companies before it since 1997 and we keep building on that relationship through joint software development and expanded services for the universities we support.
Cons
Honestly it is tricky to set up but that makes sense since it's a complex payroll system.

“Account manager is amazing”
Pros
Our account manager is fantastic as she is always available, helpful and quick to respond whenever we have questions or run into problems. She is very professional and makes us feel confident about working with Ascender. We have been using it for about 30 years, since it first launched and it fits our complex enterprise agreement needs perfectly. There is always new functionality being introduced for us to explore and use. In short it has has been a big part of my life for 23 years and I have grown really attached as it almost feels like family especially having worked with some of the same people all this time. They are truly great.
Cons
It is tough to stay on top of all the new features they keep rolling out.
