Streamlined, user-friendly, and efficient

Pros

I really like how easy CIPHR is to use. It has made our processes faster and more efficient. Everything is well-organized and easily accessible which has had a significant impact on our daily work.

Cons

There is not much to dislike about it. Yes it felt overwhelming initially but with excellent support from the project manager and consultants, things quickly became much easier.

user-friendly with great updates

Pros

CIPHR's HR self-service is user friendly and simple to navigate across various sections. The system keeps getting better and many positive updates, including user guides and self-help sections have been added in the new 2025 user interface.

Cons

Well there are occasional delays in response to helpdesk tickets. Some integration links are missing between modules and I feel like certain features could use improvement.

great potential but too complex for admins

Pros

If it functions as intended this could be a great system, it is good for adding training events but it would be even better if it was more automated and had a waitlist feature.

Cons

It does not work well and is too complicated for admin users. Also the reports are in pivot format so you need to cut and paste into another Excel sheet to make them usable.

effective for HR but reporting still time-consuming

Pros

We use the system to manage employee data and payroll and it works really well. Customer support is excellent too as CIPHR Academy is a great resource and all the HR tools are in one place. The new user-friendly interface, employee self-service and performance insights with the new analytics tool are also huge bonuses.

Cons

Some issues like timeouts and needing to click through multiple screens to reach the right part of the system have been resolved with the new update. However reporting in Excel can still be time-consuming.

top-notch LMS with great insights

Pros

CIPHR's LMS offers the best end-user experience and provides valuable insights for management as well as efficient compliance reporting.

Cons

The past year has been tough with several changes in account management but things are back on track now.

Pros

It is an easy to use system that provides information on everything from holidays to personal HR details which I like.

Cons

Once a holiday request is submitted by a user, it cannot be changed even if it's still waiting for approval.

Smooth CIPHR Implementation Experience

Pros

The HR part of this system was very easy for me to set up and start using. What really stood out was the HR consultancy support during implementation and they were a big help. Our whole team got used to it fast and honestly, we all prefer it way more than our old HR platform which always felt clunky and outdated.

Cons

The payroll side of things just isn't where it should be yet. We've run into multiple problems that end up taking way too long to get sorted out with support. I get that there are usually some bumps when starting out with a new payroll system but the slow response time when issues get escalated has been pretty frustrating.

Pros

I've found it really easy to use when it comes to keeping HR contacts and client details organized. Everything is laid out in a way that made it simple for me to figure out and get comfortable with in no time.

Cons

Whenever I need help with technical database problems, it can be a real headache. The support team takes a long time to get back and it's tough to actually get the kind of assistance I need when something goes wrong.

Great service though manual work still required

Pros

The customer service has always been excellent and I feel my concerns are always heard. The payroll system was implemented smoothly and on time. Once trained the system settings are easy to navigate. Overall it offers great value for the money.

Cons

Umm the absent feature is not connected to payroll which leads to a lot of manual work and room for errors. i-Recruit needs improvements like having just one portal for login instead of a separate assessor portal. Dashboards and accessible stats should be more basic as managers should be able to easily view sickness days and the Bradford Factor for their team members.

Versatile but implementation could be smoother

Pros

Ciphr system is highly flexible and can be configured in various ways. You can repurpose fields and pages to suit the needs of the business. Overall I would say it was an ideal solution for a mid-sized UK company as most other providers cater more to either smaller businesses or those with 1000+ employees.

Cons

The implementation order of the modules didn't make much sense and created additional work. The Notifications module for workflow emails was added at the end which meant we had to wait a long time before we could use automated emails. In the meantime we had to manually send a lot of emails until the system could handle it.

great ATS with minor issues

Pros

Handling applications with this system has been smooth sailing and keeping track of everything feels easy now. Overall, my experience with it has been really positive and satisfying.

Cons

Honestly, everything about this software has worked really well for me. It's easy to use and manage and I love that I can keep an eye on several applications at once, it saves me a ton of time.

Overall it works

Pros

What I really like is how much easier it makes payroll for both our HR team and employees. The way everything is connected keeps it focused on HR and the dashboard with all the stats gives us clear insights into our data which has been very helpful.

Cons

To me, the dashboard feels a bit overwhelming because there's just too much info crammed in all at once. It would be so much better if I could customize the tabs and only see what's actually relevant to my work.

highly functional but expensive

Pros

I love how the automated features save us time and boost productivity while still keeping things easy to use. The design looks professional without being overwhelming and for us, it's worked really well when it comes to managing employee records.

Cons

The pricing is pretty high and that's been a big hurdle for us. Because of the cost, we haven't been able to roll it out fully to cut down our admin workload. The software itself does a good job, but for a smaller operation like ours, the price is tough to justify.
