Flexible design with fantastic support

Pros

We looked at many vendors before choosing CompUp. Their platform felt the most flexible, had a clean and easy to use design and handled compensation and benefits really well. For me, it hit the perfect balance between powerful features and simplicity. It was also clear they understood our HR challenges better than anyone else. Their support team has been fantastic too as always quick to respond, knowledgeable and proactive. One standout moment was that they helped us create a custom bonus plan in just two days. We truly felt they cared about our success, not just selling us software.

Cons

One area I'd like them to work on is reducing backend dependencies. Offering more modular, do it yourself options in certain modules would let HR teams make fast adjustments on their own instead of leaning so much on support.

Implementation delivered under tight deadline

Pros

At EQT Corporation, our implementation team was outstanding as they showed remarkable dedication and stayed fully committed to delivering under an exceptionally tight deadline while maintaining a very high standard of quality throughout the project.

Cons

I see it as a relatively small company that has not yet undergone every possible use case in its field. Though they are constantly improving and working to expand and enhance their features over time.

employee-first makes cycles stress-free

Pros

Most compensation tools seem built for finance and comp specialists but compUp is actually designed with the employee in mind. For my team, it's made running compensation cycles almost stress-free, helping both new and experienced managers navigate the process easily. It also connects smoothly with our HR system, so data flows automatically and we avoid a lot of manual work. I have been also impressed with how responsive customer support is as they were there through every step of setup and helped us troubleshoot quickly. On top of that, the pricing is very reasonable for everything we get.

Cons

As someone overseeing compensation, I understand this is a product that's still evolving, so I had to invest time working with their team to shape features to our specifications. That said, this is not a drawback in my view but more a heads-up for leaders that they'll want to be hands-on during configuration and development to get the exact behavior they need.

One-stop solution with automated tasks

Pros

CompUp has become a genuine one-stop solution for us. Their complimentary benchmarking platform gives us ready access to market benchmarks which I rely on to make more informed hiring and appraisal decisions. On top of that the DOE module helps our offers stand out in a crowded market and we often don't have to engage candidates directly, because the platform takes care of those interactions and automates many of the routine tasks my team used to handle manually. It's probably everything a modern HR and total rewards professional would need. Also Bhavesh has consistently provided timely and helpful assistance whenever we've reached out.

Cons

I have noticed that its strength is in benchmarking data designed specifically for top Indian startups. I keep in mind that their coverage is focused only on that group means they don't offer data for other types of companies or industries.

Fair increment decisions

Pros

I used to find increment decisions really complicated to make. But now CompUp helps me clearly understand the reasons behind those increment choices, so we can ensure they end up being fair.

Cons

It is still early for me to make a call. So for now I would say I haven't run into any issues.

Pros

It is really easy to learn and I can move around the interface without any trouble.

Spreadsheets consolidated into one tool

Pros

What I like most about the CompUp team is the flexibility they offer to customize the software to our specific team needs. My group used to manage the whole merit planning process across more than fifty separate spreadsheets and we were able to consolidate every one of them into this one tool. Beyond that, the tool helped me streamline a lot of our rewards workflows that were previously scattered. A standout capability for me is how it lets us simulate appraisal cycles and budgets. I can now run multiple budget scenarios, route them for approval and once approved they automatically convert into the appraisal manager's budget which feels so much simpler than juggling Excel files and then uploading them into some tool to run the cycle.

Cons

To be honest, there isn't much I would complain about but one area I'd like to see improved is access to compensation benchmarks. At the moment they only provide benchmarks for India and I would really benefit if they broadened their benchmarking network to include other geographies. If they expand that coverage it would make the platform even more valuable for my work. Other than that, I find it to be fantastic tool.

Pros

I consider CompUp to be essentially an all in one solution that managers need to carry out the increment process.

Cons

Pros

Overall I am really impressed by the wide-ranging capabilities that make sharing increment feedback smoother. Plus the practical tools that help me manage increment feedback efficiently are amazing too.

Cons

Having support for multilingual text would really matter to me and should be added to improve communication across different languages.

Cons
