Impressive exceptional support team

Pros

I am impressed with Dayforce's support team as they are exceptional. Although I am not completely familiar with all of ita features, my background in payroll and HR helps me manage and the team's willingness to assist makes using the system much easier.

Cons

One downside for me is my lack of experience with processing Canadian payrolls which can make things a bit challenging at times. Still the customer support team consistently steps in to smooth out issues, so the overall experience remains very positive.

Handy app for many tasks

Pros

It is really handy since the app lets me handle many tasks like managing my schedule and payroll. Coworkers can view who they are paired with and employees can request time off and book vacations right in the app.

Cons

I have noticed there are so many features that it can take users a while to learn how everything operates. I also run into occasional issues when clocking in because the location settings sometimes throw errors which causes some frustration.

Captures every important candidate detail

Pros

I felt I got my money's worth because it captured every important candidate detail and I found it easy to use and move between modules. Dayforce's customer support was also reliable.

Cons

Working on the payroll side was not the easiest. As it wore me out when handling payroll tasks because I had trouble grasping how the payroll processes worked.

User friendly layout locates everything

Pros

The best thing about Dayforce is how user friendly it is. As its user friendly layout makes it really simple for me to locate everything I need.

Cons

I honestly cannot come up with many negatives about it right now. As the app has made it so simple to view payroll information and even my personal employee details whenever I need them.

Clean interface for easy viewing

Pros

I have found the interface to be clean and easy to use and I can quickly view my vacation, time off, pending requests, approved items and their balances. Plus being able to schedule time off directly is a major benefit for me.

Cons

My main complaint is the poor compatibility with other software which forces me to do a lot of manual work in Excel and similar tools just to move data into the system.

Addresses important hr and recruiting needs

Pros

From our perspective, Dayforce HCM addresses many of the important needs for our HR and recruiting teams. Plus it lets us manage capabilities such as building reports for analysis and overseeing integrations, giving us a fair amount of control over those functions.

Cons

I find it to be relatively expensive and at times too complex for end users. The training materials often are not useful because they are frequently outdated or broken and when we need help the customer support can be slow to respond and not as helpful as we require.

Great platform for many tasks

Pros

I find it a great platform for handling payrolls, tax forms, updating employee details, scheduling days off and checking shift times. Plus it is pretty easy to use.

Cons

Personally I have no issues. It always works perfectly. The web version has more options and the mobile app lets me use it anytime. Plus no bugs.

Easy to use and very efficient

Pros

The platform is really easy to use and very efficient overall. The Implementation Studio is the best feature that has boosted employee experience and operational efficiencies, helped streamline payroll processes and delivers fast, reliable payruns.

Cons

In my experience it can be fairly complicated to set up because the system is so vast and while support eventually helps, response times can be somewhat slow though not a major problem.

Unified platform with real-time data

Pros

It is single, unified platform that keeps HR, payroll and scheduling in sync with real-time data, so everything is accessible in one place. Plus the workforce management and scheduling features are genuinely useful. And employee self-service plus the mobile app have cut down a lot of administrative tasks for our team. I also like how flexible and configurable the system is and the reporting and analytics are pretty powerful too.

Cons

Getting it up and running can take a lot of time because implementation and setup are fairly involved. Plus support has been hit or miss and I feel the pricing is on the high side which might make it impractical for smaller organizations.

frustrating resume import

Pros

I like the simple layout and the clearly labeled buttons such as prev/next/cancel. The UI feels tidy and well-structured too. And honestly those tidy elements are basically the only positives I can confidently point to.

Cons

My experience has been extremely frustrating. Honestly it is the worst HCM I have used so far. To start, the resume import fails even for ATS-optimized resumes and does not pull information correctly. Work history details often end up in the wrong fields like the company name where the role title should be. It also tinkers with formatting, adding extra spaces to titles and randomly changing formatting, so entries end up inconsistent and messy. The most annoying part is the handling of form errors. I added a role the importer skipped, typed accurate information and the form would not submit. The only notice was a tiny pop-up saying There is an error on your form. No inline messages, no highlighted field, no guidance. I double-checked everything, tried again and kept getting the same vague error. At one point I had to delete a role entirely just to get the form to submit which felt very counterproductive. On a laptop, scrolling to the bottom to read disclosures or make selections is maddening because the page randomly jumps back to the top for no clear reason. Another annoyance is that the tool forces you to enter a country for every employer. I get that it needed a country field but requiring it repeatedly without sensible defaults like assuming the applicant's country or letting you apply the same country across roles makes for a poor experience. These are basic UX patterns that should be standard in any paid application. Their absence here turns routine tasks into time consuming headaches.

Recent updates keep everything centralized

Pros

With Dayforces recent updates, our team and I have been able to grow and keep everything centralized from payroll to learning systems and performance evaluations.

Cons

I frequently come across unexplained errors when loading the scheduling or timeclock pages and more often than not it becomes a real hassle since we are all stretched thin and have very limited time to fix issues.

User friendly with extensive customization

Pros

I really like how user friendly the interface is and I like the extensive customization options available. It is also pretty easy to use when I manage employee timesheets.

Cons

Occasionally the app acts glitchy for me. for example it won't save changes I have just made which is frustrating. Plus I'd really like the ability to authorize multiple timesheets at once.

simple smartphone-friendly reports

Pros

The reports clear and simple to read and I can print them without any trouble. Plus every tab is smartphone-friendly for me.

Cons

On occasion an update introduces bugs or causes the app to lag but I have noticed the people who run it are usually quick to fix it.

Really user friendly interface

Pros

Its interface is really user friendly and I can quickly find and open the various sections of the app whenever I need them.

Cons

When I check the teams daily schedule, I cannot view every person who is working that day. Instead I only see teammates who share the same role or position as me which is limiting.

Effortless all-in-one hr hub

Pros

What I value most is how effortlessly it brings payroll, HR, timekeeping and benefits into one hub. By removing the need to switch between applications, it saves time and reduces mistakes. I also rely on the near real-time data refreshes when running payroll and ensuring compliance. The layout is also user friendly and I like being able to create tailored reports and dashboards that make managing our workforce more organized. Overall it is a thorough, effective tool for both administrators and everyday employees.

Cons

Honestly the biggest downside for me was how steep the learning curve felt. It took quite a while to get comfortable with the platform and at times some workflows seemed unnecessarily complex. I found myself spending extra time figuring out certain features and a handful of tasks required more steps than I expected. With a bit more upfront training it gets easier but initially it felt more cumbersome than it needed to be.

End-to-end employee lifecycle solution

Pros

I use it as an end to end solution that handles the entire employee lifecycle from hire to exit. The onboarding and recruitment tools are market leaders and make hiring workflows very smooth. Plus it handles payroll and rostering compliance thoroughly for both Australia and New Zealand which has been a huge help. With customizable forms and workflow builders I can realistically plug any procedural holes we face. Our Customer Success Manager actually advocates for us and pushes on our behalf. System uptime and environment stability have been dependable too. And there are plenty of integration choices and they work reliably across platforms.

Cons

One frustration for me is the frequency of upgrades as they happen so often that I feel like I am constantly chasing my tail as the admin. Also routine support without escalation can sometimes be slow to respond which adds delay when I am trying to resolve issues quickly. A few modules remain heavily North American in focus, particularly the Benefits and Compensation areas and that limits how well they fit our regional needs.

Simple interface with geofenced clock-in

Pros

The user interface is pretty simple. Clocking in and out is simple. I can also set up a geofenced area so I can punch in from the parking lot or anywhere near the building. Overall it definitely saves time.

Cons

During my time using the app, several updates caused problems that made it hard for me to submit time-off requests. However, after about a month the issue was fixed and I could submit requests normally again.

Helpful for hr and paystub needs

Pros

At my previous employer, I used this for HR needs like issuing paystubs and year-end forms and the pie charts that break down salaries are really helpful too.

Cons

The cost is the main thing that I see as a problem but overall I haven't run into any other issues with the product.

User Friendly but Slow and Laggy

Pros

It is user friendly. Plus it is a unified system that can handle 1000+ employee data and share realtime data with strong analytical capabilities.

Cons

I have noticed the support response times are slow and there is noticeable lag during high-traffic periods, so new users often run into issues when using it for the first time.

Visually appealing and easy on eyes

Pros

The updated look is visually appealing and really easy on the eyes and I like the helpful links area because it lets the company point me to internal resources outside of Dayforce.

Cons

There are a few things. Using it can still be a hassle even though I am in the tool multiple days a week. I often struggle to find my own direct reports or other items I need which makes routine tasks take longer. So I feel like it could be far more user friendly.
