We regularly use this software and find it to be userfriendly, dependable and simple. The team at Document Locator was super helpful when we migrated our data from our old software plus theyve provided great training every time which was clear and to the point. The Folder Structures and Profiles are fantastic tools that help us stay consistent across departments. We havent had any downtime and the software has made our daily tasks much more efficient.
Cons
Tbh, the automatically named emails is an interesting feature. But I wish we could reorder the auto naming system to better fit our needs. We rely heavily on the search feature and breadcrumbs but we still have to manually save the file when printing to Document Locator. Its a bit annoying that the breadcrumbs or search features dont work in the print to function.

Pros
Document Locator is really versatile and easy to use. It has features that make document management smooth like integration with Outlook for better email management. Plus it has handy functions like converting PDFs and previewing documents. The API is great and the admin part is simple so not much training is needed. Support is top notch and always answering my questions quickly no matter how simple. Its safe to say that this software is always up to date and setting it up went smoothly all thanks to their amazing support team.
Cons
This is a really powerful tool but it does require a lot of training to use properly. The biggest issue for me is the inability to link folders. It also tends to slow down and glitch when I work remotely and its only available on Windows plus the web version doesnt have all the features. Im looking forward to the next update to see if they improve that.

We were able to customize the software to meet our exact needs. We have a complex hierarchy of supervision but this system gave us the flexibility to manage our documents exactly the way we needed.

Pros
This software works perfectly on Windows and it has a great API. Its easy to manage and users need little training plus the support is quick to respond. They do it usually within an hour and they're always happy to help even with the simplest questions.
Cons
Training is only available a few times a year and mostly in Oregon. They can send an instructor if needed but thats not always ideal.
