“Outstanding company

Pros

I really like that I've never had an issue with missing paychecks. Every paycheck I've earned through this app is tracked and I can refer back to any past ones whenever I need to. I've never had missing hours and if I need to reach out to customer support, I know from experience that they'll fix any issues quickly. Setting up direct deposit is easy and if I ever need to change it, I can just call customer service and they're always happy to help.

Cons

I haven't had any issues or concerns since I started using the eBacon platform.

It really filled a gap in the payroll industry that we hadn't experienced before. Our old payroll company tried to help with certified payroll reports but it was really complicated and didn't handle wage determinations well. We were so relieved to find out eBacon was tackling this issue. The services they offer really exceeded our expectations in the construction industry. It saved us a lot of time in the office and made sure we were paying our employees correctly.

Cons

There have been some adjustments needed to reporting and processes along the way but it has always been available and eager to help with any issues we've had. We've never felt abandoned. While we wish everything worked perfectly all the time, I appreciate that we're working with a company that's ready to handle any issues promptly.

“Improving quality and consistency

Pros

The best part of eBacon for me is the ability to print weekly certified payroll reports directly from the app. The ease of generating and printing California Training Fund invoices is also a big time saver. It is pretty reliable overall.

Cons

While it's greatly improved from my initial experience, it still has some struggles when it comes to making corrections or restitution payments especially with some of the less frequent certified payroll requirements. Sometimes, the corrections take more attempts than I think are necessary.

I love that they smoothly integrated our Prevailing Wage paperwork process.

The integration took some time and patience but it ended up working out well.

Pros

The eBacon team has really taken a lot of the stress away from our prevailing wage projects. Their payroll system has helped reduce errors which has been great for morale. They've been an invaluable resource for navigating complicated reporting requirements and offering clear advice with legal backing. We would easily pay a lot of money to have a team with this expertise in-house. I'm really impressed with their responsiveness and their ability to understand what our company needs and deliver the right solutions. It's a great partner for us.

Cons

It would be nice to have more tutorials, videos or a more dynamic "how-to" feature.

“Make paperwork easier

Pros

What we needed the most was a way to streamline all the paperwork needed by subcontractors and submitting electronic certified payroll reports. It did just that.

Cons

Some of the assignments were a little confusing at first but the more I work with the software, the clearer it's becoming. There have been a lot of quirks along the way but we're sorting them out.

We went through three different payroll services (yes, the big names) trying to find someone who could handle prevailing wage jobs the way we needed. No one even came close until we switched to it.

It's super easy for me to use. I can always get in touch with someone and they're always happy to help.

When the app is downloaded on my phone to enter their times, it's not always available. My employees have to delete and reinstall the app every other week to get the updates.
