“excellent support and affordable
Pros
I love how easy the system is to use. Also the price is very reasonable compared to other HR platforms and the customer support is excellent. The team is always quick to respond, helpful and even available for Teams interviews to deliver training which is incredibly valuable.
Cons
It would be great if we could customize the colors more to match our company's branding, though that is more of a nice-to-have than a necessity. A bit more automation would also be appreciated.

“Deep customization flaws

The system is user-friendly with items typically found where you'd expect them to be.
Cons
The custom reports are not truly customizable. When I raised this, I was told I could combine three different reports to get the data I need but the custom reporting feature does not provide the flexibility I require. The system was supposed to integrate smoothly with the facial recognition system we have but it's still not fully reliable. HR reports like sickness records, often pull inaccurate data and need manual corrections. For example when someone leaves mid-month, it affects absence/attendance percentages. I also notice discrepancies in attrition figures. When generating letters, the formatting changes, so everything needs to be manually edited and double-checked. I do not use the system to create contracts because it would involve too much rework. Additionally there is no audit trail, so if something like shift patterns, addresses or bank details is changed, there is no way to track the previous data once it's updated.

“Moved us from spreadsheets, saving time now
Pros
As a small business Evalu8 has helped us move all of our HR administration to one platform. No more using spreadsheets for holiday tracking or sickness data. It has saved me so much time and I know the data is accurate and up to date. Having all contracts, handbooks and policies in one accessible location has been incredibly useful. We have even used sickness and lateness data in several review meetings which has made discussions with employees easier for our managers.
Cons
When generating absence reports, I would like the system to include data for both current and past employees. It would also be great to see an ATS feature added in the future.

“user-friendly and receptive to feedback
Pros
The system is pretty user-friendly, clean and visually appealing. Also the app is fantastic for both employees and managers, with features like Face ID, easy document access and a simple holiday booking process. The team is also receptive to feedback and we have already seen some improvements based on our suggestions.
Cons
Well the delay in receiving key updates has been frustrating. Features like audit trails and payroll integration are essential for compliance and efficiency and we have been waiting for over a year. Additionally inconsistencies in the calendar week start date across the platform cause confusion.

Pros
Uploading documents for e-signing is simple, cutting down on paper use and making updates quick. The holiday booking system for employees is also very easy to use.
Cons
The TOIL feature is difficult to use, with many hidden functions that are not always obvious. Evaluation forms cannot be edited without losing all data which results in multiple versions that can get confusing.

“Great for staff tasks
Pros
The app is great for staff clock-ins, holiday requests and signing company documents. Plus it is easy to use and keeps all staff records in one place. I also like the support team as it is top-notch and replies quickly.
Cons
Sometimes figuring out permissions can be tricky, especially when new staff are hired mid-year and we need to calculate their holiday entitlement.

Pros
Evalu-8 HR interface is visually easy to navigate and there are some great reporting functions. The help center is always responsive and quick to assist us.
Cons
The app and desktop site sometimes display different information although I have been told the app is being updated. The reporting functions could be more robust and easier to navigate and the expenses feature could be much simpler to use. For now we don't use it because it's not great.

Pros
It makes it easy to keep accurate records and notes for all employees. There are plenty of useful reports and everything is stored in one place. I also like that service inquiries are handled quickly and efficiently.
Cons
I have occasionally faced issues with bulk letter generation.
