Easy to use

Pros

Not only do I find it beginner friendly but it also offers various packages based on client needs.

Cons

The app lags sometimes and logs me out quickly. Because of which I have to log in repeatedly which is annoying.

Terrible background check service

Pros

I am not impressed with this company. The user interface is not at all good and the error messages are confusing, especially when I need to upload more.

Cons

Well the background check started on October 16 and here we are on November 1, it is still in progress even though there are only two countries to check. These countries offer online criminal record checks in just 10 minutes but the FA team has been handling it for over three weeks. The client is frustrated because they cannot start work, the employee is upset and First Advantage cannot do anything except escalate the issue within the team which feels like empty promises. When I upload all the required documents and just want to check my status, I get an error message with completely incorrect information.

Expect long hold times when you call

Pros

There are a few things I like such as the customer service team is genuinely friendly and the implementation process was good, though it was not outstanding.

Cons

They have so many specialized departments each handling very specific tasks. We only use First Advantage for Driver Qualification records and you might think I just need to talk to one department but you are wrong! For instance if I need to update a driver's license number, I speak with one team. For drug testing issues it is a different team. If I need help with a completed driver file that is handled by yet another department.

Excellent service

Pros

It is user friendly and I really like the fact how easy the process is. Plus the customer support is excellent too.

Cons

I noticed that the language options are limited. It would be great if there were more languages available.

Reliable!

Pros

We have an ongoing agreement with FA and value their responsiveness and customer support. Their services are easy to use and our Account Manager is always responsive and truly partners with us.

Cons

The wait times for the customer care team over the phone can be quite long. As we have had trouble getting prompt customer support and will escalate the issue if necessary.

Works fine

Pros

The integration with other employee systems like Workday is smooth and efficient especially for daily hiring and background check results which makes FADV simple to use. I have only needed to contact customer support a few times and each time they were quick to resolve the issue.

Cons

While it is not necessarily a dislike of FADV but the long turnaround times for some results in certain jurisdictions are frustrating, especially with no clear information about the delays or how to speed up the process.

Good but room for improvement is there

Pros

Not only is the customer service team knowledgeable about First Advantage's services but even the existing integrations work well with our business processes. Additionally the platform offers a smooth experience for users completing their background checks.

Cons

We have had significant delays in processing background checks which has led to new hires being pushed back and our company missing hiring deadlines. However First Advantage has been working hard with us to resolve the issue as much as they can.
