Simple and Effective Tool

Pros

Building meaningful content has become easy with this platform, especially when you're working with a small team that needs to deliver timely and accurate communications. The two-way communication features are great, being able to hear directly from front-line workers and gather their feedback has really helped us create a more welcoming and inclusive workplace culture.

Cons

The creative options could definitely be expanded. I'd love more ways to work with images and graphics. Though I'm probably still scratching the surface of what's possible, so there's likely more to discover as I dig deeper into the platform.

Streamlined communication for our staff

Pros

This platform has completely transformed how we connect with our workforce, giving everyone instant digital and mobile access to company updates and communications. It's opened up incredible opportunities for employee engagement that we never had before. The customer community has been useful too as we've made valuable connections with other communicators and administrators, and the in-person events they organize have been really worthwhile.

Cons

umm the team I work with changes pretty frequently, which can be disruptive. Coming from the Dynamic platform, there are several features we really miss and wish could be integrated here.

Enhances our creativity

Pros

Managing 5 newsletters through this platform has been a game-changer.What used to take me half a day to pull content now only takes 30 minutes. The variety of ways to slice and dice information for employees based on different channels and target audiences is helpful.

Cons

The formatting gets messed up when I copy and paste from Word's web version into Studio, which is pretty annoying since I have to fix everything manually.

Pros

I really appreciate the events and round tables they put together. These sessions give me fresh ideas and proven strategies from other users, plus the networking aspect opens up even more possibilities for learning from peers.

Cons

Easy to Use software

Pros

It makes it so easy to get new users onboard. The interface feels logical and pretty much anyone can find their way around without getting lost.

Cons

When someone gets logged out, there's no clear indication, so my team members often run into problems with outdated info because they dont realize they need to sign back in.

Needs Enhanced Features

Pros

The email builder is user-friendly. I appreciate how subscribers can easily manage their preferences by opting in or out of different channels and topics.

Cons

umm i feel like the intranet functionality feels pretty limited. I'm really looking for a complete hub that handles news, company info, collaboration and file storage all in one place. The email solution could use some serious upgrades too, like data cleansing, a preference center, and dynamic content that personalizes messages based on contact fields such as language, region or job function. Since our company relies heavily on email, having more powerful capabilities in that tool would make a huge difference.

Powerful Tool with Minor Issues

Pros

The interface makes content creation a simple task and I've noticed some excellent improvements over the past couple years that have streamlined both setup and distribution. The backend feels simple to understand.

Cons

The interface isn't the best and doesn't present our company content effectively. Unless something is marked as "featured", which you can't do for everything, employees rarely discover it. There's definitely room for improvement in how the front end is organized.

Pros

I can create engaging newsletters for my team with all the interactive design features available

Cons

I wish there was a way around "engagement fatigue". It's frustrating when team members who are supposed to recieve the newsletter for QA purposes dont get it when they're already on my colleague mailing list.

easy copy-pasting but limited customization

Pros

Copy-pasting from different documents works smoothly for me.

Cons

The analytics often lag behind and everything feels pretty sluggish, waiting for pages to load gets frustrating. Plus, there's no way to use HTML for content customization since you're stuck with just the design interface options.

Pros

I'm still learning the ropes with this platform but it's already proven incredibly efficient for company-wide messaging. Creating engaging posts and emails feels easy. What really stands out is how well it connects our team members across multiple locations, something that was challenging before. The interactive elements like comments and user posts create a genuine sense of collaboration, making internal communication feel more like a community effort rather than just top-down messaging.

Cons

Pinning posts and expiration date features weren't super obvious at first, and I spent some time figuring them out. Setting up audience types also took me a bit longer than expected to get right.

User friendly system

Pros

Its very user friendly, which made it so easy for our team to get up to speed. Training other departments was not an issue at all since everyone understood it quickly and felt confident using it.

Cons

Changing healthcare communication for better

Pros

I think this platform is really changing how we communicate in healthcare and connect with our busy providers. Its simple to handle which makes it much easier to distribute critical information across multiple hospitals at once.

Cons

Really appreciate what it does for us

Pros

Its easy to use for both my staff and our workers. Our account manager also provides fast, helpful assistance whenever we run into problems or have questions.

Cons

The search option hasn't been the most efficient, although I understand there was a recent update that should make a big difference.

Highly customizable!

Pros

The ability for team members to personalize their newsfeeds is brilliant. Everyone can adjust content to what matters most to them and keeps them engaged.

Cons

I wish I could target different audiences within the same campaign and set up custom notification preferences for each group. Our office staff usually responds better to emails, while our field workers really need those push notifications to stay informed. The intelligent delivery feature doesn't seem to split up the notification methods as effectively as we'd like it to.

great for content distribution

Pros

FirstUp gives us an excellent way to create, distribute and handle business content across our diverse global organization. We can get practically any message to the right people at the perfect moment, reaching them through their preferred channels when they're most active. This has boosted how much our employees engage with company information and strengthened our communications team's capabilities, letting us say "yes" more often to content requests while expanding our corporate messaging capacity.

Cons

Our business relies on this platform as the main gateway to all our content, so we're constantly wanting more features. The team does well with scaling improvements, but sometimes we're moving quicker than the tech can keep up. Once they better integrate with Dynamic Signal, I think some of these inconveniences will get sorted out.
