“The best for managing candidate relationships

Pros

Gem software is simple and comes with reliable reporting tools which makes the implementation process smooth and easy for us.

Cons

The product works really well and I have not come across any issues with its implementation.

“A tool with huge potential

Pros

I really like the collaboration features in GEM. Also now it is easy to collaborate on shared projects with my teammates and finding an efficient workflow is simple with it too.

Cons

Well I wish it could improve the filtering options in projects because it is not the smoothest experience yet and the tool has the potential to do more. Also it would be great if we had more flexibility in building custom dashboards. And there are plenty of widgets which is great but it is a bit tricky to quickly create the dashboards we want and we end up having to experiment with the tool to find the best options.

It is pretty easy to use and offers valuable analytics to us on candidates.

Cons

The inability to download the candidate list is frustrating and I noticed there are other features missing as well.

Pros

Gem is a great tool for finding contact information and easily setting up nurture campaigns. Plus it is simple to use and I have started building a marketing and ATS ecosystem with it.

Cons

Support could definitely be better. As when I am working with support on issues, it tends to be slow.

It is a great way to manage new outbound candidates or prospects that we have sourced to fit our openings.

Cons

GEM is reaching the point where I am starting to wonder what else can it do? It already covers managing, CRM and outbound activities but I am curious about what's next.

Pros

Gem software is so easy to use. Plus its integrations make it so simple to leverage data from events. And unlike other platforms which do not focus much on collaboration but it truly does. Also it is perfect for large teams with a wide candidate pool helping to retain and share talent something that is quite important in today's competitive market.

Cons

Having limited licenses makes data analytics a bit more manual when reviewing large data sheets. However I assume this is meant to encourage upgrading to a pro license.

“It has everything you need in a talent CRM

Pros

At first this tool was a bit overwhelming because it has so many features. But I really love how it helps me manage all my candidates in one place such as projects, notifications, reminders and more. I especially like how the notifications help me stay on top of my candidate pipeline and the detailed data in the dashboards. Also I have enjoyed customizing the dashboards to better understand my overall recruiting process and top of funnel activity.

Cons

This is not really a downside for GEM but more of an issue with LinkedIn. As I just wish the LinkedIn integration could be better.

Gem is simple to use and navigate. Our recruiting team finds it really helpful.

Cons

In my role there are not many things I dislike. If I had to suggest something maybe a searchable FAQ page within the program would be helpful for troubleshooting, if it does not already exist.

I love how Gem makes it easy to track my outreach stats and pipeline.

Cons

One thing I wish for is that I able to send LinkedIn messages directly through it rather than setting up sequences and having to send them manually. Also it still feels a bit clunky at this stage.

Gem makes it quite easy for us to create projects and build talent pipelines using the Gem extension.

Cons

Sometimes I have issues with Boolean searches not returning results. But a simple refresh usually fixes the problem.

It is very helpful for keeping track of our candidates and standardizing workflows.

I personally feel like the interface looks a bit cluttered at times. Also I would like a way to remove people who have already been hired from the candidate search.

I liked how easy it was to set up automated workflows and manage candidates. Also I love that we can create campaigns and keep candidates engaged through email.

Honestly I do not have any cons to mention. I just need to explore more features in depth.

Gem is an ideal tool for outreach and sourcing especially for a big team to track who has contacted candidates in the past or if they have already been in the process. Though I have not used the match pipeline and status features yet.

I have to download a PDF to move a candidate to GEM which was a little lengthy and time-consuming.

“I absolutely love using it

Pros

Getting reminders for InMails and having emails sent automatically through Gem has benefited us a lot. And as I am not the most organized person so in the past I'd often lose track of candidates if I missed messaging them for second, third or fourth follow-ups. But now I get reminders or have it done automatically.

Cons

There is nothing negative I would like to mention about it so far. I use it daily for candidate messaging and management and I have really enjoyed it.

“Pretty much perfect

Pros

I love the number of features I can use without feeling overwhelmed by all the information. Also it is user friendly and well designed. My favorite feature is sequences and their analytics which are a huge time-saver and help with continuous improvement when messaging candidates.

Cons

While I love sequences I wish there was a way to automate LinkedIn messages as well. Right now they are semi-manual though still very user friendly with an easy copy/paste interface and reminders. Another thing I would like to see is more visual alerts for active candidates so we can avoid team mistakes with candidates who have recent activity or important notes, which sometimes do not appear in the sidebar overview.

Pros

Well I absolutely love the texting feature. It integrates with Greenhouse so I can easily text candidates and it is automatically recorded in Greenhouse. Also I love sequences and how easy it is to add candidates to GEM and send them personalized messages with minimal effort.

Cons

The extension sometimes has trouble when I have too many tabs open so I have had to reduce my tab usage to ensure it works properly.

It is a simple tool to integrate and launch. Also it takes the manual effort out of communicating with prospective talent and effectively automates things while helping you improve with analysis and best practices.

I love it even more if I get automatically alerted when a contact's information is updated.

The UI/UX and overall ease of use help us with adoption and ensure team use it well and widely.

Cons

Downloading LinkedIn profiles is not as easy as I expected it to be and the reporting could be better too especially with certain ATS.

It simplifies the outreach process and boosts response rates from candidates with the sequences. Also it integrates with a lot of tools including our ATS. And it is easy to use and the guides are really helpful. It even has some amazing analytics tools too.

I love everything about it so I do not have any negative comments to share.

Gem software is user friendly and adds a lot of value to my daily work.

One downside is that you cannot share projects with people outside of your organization like creating a project and sharing it with a client.
