“Simply works without complexity”
Pros
Homerun feels like a tool that simply works without getting overly complex. As someone who uses it regularly, I have not run into problems with the available features and I like how user friendly and uncluttered the interface is.
Cons
Usually I'm not a fan of system-generated prompts that pop up asking if I need help or explaining how to use features. While I appreciate that the assistance exists, I find those messages a bit too intrusive and prominently placed for my taste.

“Clean interface with responsive support”
Pros
I really like the clean, user-friendly interface as it makes sorting and reviewing applications easy to manage within a hiring team's workflow. In the arts, it is especially useful because I can quickly switch between applicants and compare them side by side which helps me decide who to invite for interviews. And when questions come up, customer support is responsive and resolves issues quickly. Means I can stay focused on recruiting instead of dealing with distractions.
Cons
My only real complaint is that I cannot give half-star ratings. Limiting feedback to whole numbers from 1 to 5 feels too blunt when I am trying to rank many candidates and make fine distinctions between similar applicants.

“User-friendly tool”
Pros
Homerun ATS interface is user friendly as no training is required to use it and all key elements are clearly displayed.
Cons
The sign-in screen showed either an HR professionals view or a normal users view. I think regular users shouldn't see other option, since it confused me when I first tried it.

“Appealing design for applicants”
Pros
The design is very appealing to applicants. Plus it makes applying feel more accessible and low-pressure. We also found it worked really well for our open call.
Cons
I still come across several technical bugs in the system which caused frequent problems and forced me to reach out to the helpdesk multiple times for assistance.

“Simple steps with helpful notifications”
Pros
Its interface is really simple and easy to understand. Also the individual steps are simple to follow and with the notifications I can jump straight to what I need without wasting time.
Cons
Well I am not a fan of how the comment section is set up. As tagging does not seem to work when I try to add my first comment at least in my experience. I'd also like comments and ratings to automatically trigger application workflows, so the whole process feels more connected.

“comes with responsive helpful support”
Pros
it is very user-friendly and the support team is approachable and genuinely helpful. Also the chat responds quickly and usually gives me all the details I need about the issue I have reported.
Cons
That said, I still have to deal with automated replies sometimes, which can be annoying but they always include an option to connect with a real person.

“User-friendly & neatly organized”
Pros
I really like how user-friendly and neatly organized Homerun is. Plus it keeps the whole hiring workflow organized and simple to follow.
Cons
There weren't any major problems just a handful of small features that could be improved. I found the overall experience to be positive.

“Clean interface outperforms alternatives”
Pros
The interface is clean and incredibly user friendly. I especially like how easy it is for me to build custom pages and in my experience it outperforms other ATS alternatives.
Cons
I haven't noticed any significant problems with it at the moment, but if I'm being picky I'd really like to see some additional customization options for dark-mode ATS pages.

“No experience needed!!”
Pros
Even though I had very little prior experience with hiring requirements, Homerun made it easy for me to post job listings, sift through applications and collaborate with colleagues until we successfully filled a position.
Cons
Messaging candidates in the app takes some getting used to because the built-in messaging is more limited than regular email.

“Easy leave tracking with feedback wall”
Pros
Its interface is really user friendly, so it's easy to check annual leave and avoid overbooking staff or asking for too much time off. I also like the wall where I can leave feedback for colleagues.
Cons
There is not a lot I don't like as it's simple to use but the booked holidays don't always appear on the chart which is frustrating. I ended up having to dig through my personal account to find the booking.

“easy booking time off”
Pros
The end-user experience is outstanding. As the tool is very user friendly and works exactly as I'd expect. Booking time off is incredibly simple too and the allowance calculator gives a clear, quick summary.
Cons
It would be great if there were an Android app as part of the package. I often want to quickly peek at my holiday bookings or check how many days I have left when I'm away from my work computer.

“Love how organized it is for booking holidays”
Pros
I really like how organized it is for booking holidays. Also it is easy to view how many days I'm allowed to take holidays and to tell which days are reserved for specific occasions.
Cons
Sometimes it miscalculates my holiday balance but then it sends an update with the correct number of days which usually makes up for the mistake.

“Org chart helps find people”
Pros
Being able to see the company org chart makes it much easier for me to find and contact the right people when I need to.
Cons
I had trouble with the interface as it was not clear how to edit or approve annual leave. Finding where to update leave felt more complicated than it should have.

“Quick holiday tracking at once”
Pros
Using Homerun is pretty easy and it gives me quick, simple access to keep track of my holidays and see which teammates are available that too at once.
Cons
On my phone, the layout seems hard to use. Also the password rules are too strict as they block my usual formats, so I keep forgetting it and have to reset it.

“Easy customization with logical interface”
Pros
From my experience, this product delivers significant value to our company. It's easy to use and simple to customize to match our company's branding and visual identity and the overall user experience seems pretty amazing too. Controls and menu choices are positioned exactly where I'd expect them to be which makes the interface user friendly and logical.
Cons
I'd like to see additional development of the candidate survey features down the line. As expanding those options would allows companies like ours to refine and improve the candidate journey even more in future hiring cycles making the whole recruitment experience smoother.

“Simple hiring tool limits evaluations”
Pros
With smaller recruitment teams, I've found Homerun to be a very simple, easy to use option that fits nicely. The platform is pretty simple and doesn't overload you with features which makes it easy for me to navigate. Creating and posting a job takes seconds while the block-style layouts make listings look clean and attractive. I also like the clear candidate overview that's pretty easy to follow. Another plus for me is the scheduling assistant that lets applicants book meetings themselves and the Outlook integration works smoothly. Support has been friendly and responsive too.
Cons
You cannot create extra pages on the careers site as everything has to be on one page which feels limiting. I also do not like how evaluation forms work. As they need much more flexibility. On other platforms, you can easily change questions and add open-ended fields like custom criteria or longer answers. With it I am limited to star ratings and a short comment and there is always the same default question at the top which makes structured reviews harder.

“Exceptionally simple, saves hiring time!”
Pros
Homerun is exceptionally simple to use, user friendly and effective. Plus it helps me handle hiring workflows smoothly and saves considerable time.
Cons

“Good value marred by billing hassle”
Pros
I am getting good value for the price but pausing the service has been a hassle as we kept getting charged even after removing our billing info and being told the subscription would end.
Cons
It is less user-friendly than I'd hoped because all the candidate information is not kept in one consolidated place. Plus I feel it could benefit from using AI more, for example to generate summaries or to integrate interview notes and scheduling.

“Clean interface but lacks AI scoring”
Pros
The simple, easy to use interface is good and I like how they organize each stage of the interview process. I also value the flexible layout options for job descriptions.
Cons
In a world where AI simplifies many daily tasks, it sometimes feels like it's falling behind. Also I would love to see features that automatically score applicants or highlight candidates who best match my specific requirements and skills.

“shared space simplifies team collaboration”
