“Really effective for tracking progress
Pros
Hubstaff was really effective for tracking when my team started and finished work and it provided clear, detailed reports on everyone's progress.
Cons
Our team kept forgetting to clock back in after taking breaks. We ended up moving to a different system because we found one that fit our workflow better.

What stands out to me are the workforce tools. Overall Hubstaff makes it simple for us to handle scheduling and keep the team engaged.

“Automatic tracking makes it the best
Pros
With automatic time tracking, Hubstaff made clocking in a no-brainer. I never had to stress about remembering to log my time. The clean layout shows me how I have spent my day, it even logs breaks which keeps everything clear and organized. The mobile app was also very handy for logging time on the go.
Cons
The app can sometimes feel limiting. I mean if automatic tracking fails, you have to manually log in and if you close it by mistake or forget to turn it on, fixing your hours is not easy. Also it monitors activity very closely which can feel like it's watching your every move.

“complicated than it should be

It is really easy to use for tracking regular hours especially if you are not logging time per project.
Cons
Tracking time by project is more complicated than it should be. The app should show real-time project totals and the website should update instantly instead of waiting for a batch refresh. I also wish it were easier to edit project time as I have not been shown how to do that.

Pros
I am seriously impressed with how accurately this app tracks my time. It is smart enough to even catch those last 15 minutes before I clock out which is perfect for taking a quick, final break. The whole thing is just so well thought out and really handy.
Cons

The activity rates and screenshots are pretty useful as they help team leads keep an eye on what everyone's working on.
Cons
Occasionally, updates have bugs. Sometimes when I try to update, an error pops up and if the update does not finish, the software stops working and my tracked time is not saved.

I really like how easy it is to use especially the thoughtful user experience on their site.
Cons
Every now and then, pages are slow to load. It might be my internet but sometimes even when everything else works, Hubstaff won't load. It is not a dealbreaker but just a minor annoyance.

I like having detailed reports and a well-designed website.
Cons
Well I absolutely hate using this app to track my time because it crashes all the time. I constantly have to restart it over and over just to get it to work and this is even on my really powerful computer with 24GB of RAM, an i7 processor and Ubuntu. My coworkers who also use Ubuntu are dealing with the exact same frustrating problem.

Pros
This tool makes me feel like I am optimizing my time in real time. Seeing exactly how I use my hours helps me spot where I can be more efficient and adjust my workflow. Also I like that the pricing is reasonable and sometimes I could even delay invoicing to the next month without extra charges.
Cons
The productivity monitoring feels limited to me. It did not seem to allow real-time data sharing with senior managers and granting access to task performance was more difficult than it should have been.

“It's really a good app!

The time tracking is seamless, I don't even notice it running. It works perfectly, and I never have to think about it. Plus, the design is clean and friendly.
Cons
The billing department and my billing experience were pretty bad! I was checking out the subscription (I'm on a monthly plan) and wanted to see how much I'd save with a yearly one. I moved the knob from monthly to yearly, and suddenly, my credit card was charged! There was no warning, no confirmation, no thank-you nothing, not on the web or in my email. I found out by accident, a few hours later, that I'd been charged for the whole year. And what's worse, I'd just paid a week earlier! I had to write to billing support three times, and they acted like they didn't understand why I was upset. It was so frustrating. $780 is a big deal for me. Their responses were vague, slow, and it took 3 emails just to get a link to cancel this transaction.
