useful updates but break settings need work

Pros

Hubstaff is really easy to use and the latest updates have added some helpful features.

Cons

The way work breaks are set up isn't ideal. The wording is confusing, and it doesn't feel very functional. I'd prefer options like allowing a certain number of breaks during a 12-hour shift, requiring a set number of hours worked before the first break and the ability to disable the final break.

customizable but lacking trial guidance

Pros

The interface is user friendly and very easy to set up. Also there are plenty of add-ons available so we can really customize it to our needs.

Cons

It was a bit frustrating that we did not get a reminder about our free trial or the extension. Because they clearly have the ability to send alerts, so some guidance would have been great. We ended up having to just jump in and figure things out ourselves but having training during the trial would have really helped us explore all the awesome features this platform offers.

Total game-changer for us

Pros

For me, this tool is awesome because it lets our team track time for all our different tech projects and tasks. We can easily create new assignments, hand them out to the right people and keep a perfect watch on everyones progress. Overall it is a total game-changer for staying organized.

Cons

There is nothing I dislike or would criticize about this platform.

glitchy and overly complicated

Pros

The location tracking works well only when it functions properly, it is great for remote work but could improve for offsite, travel or multi-location tracking.

Cons

It's very glitchy, with important settings like the location tracker constantly shutting off on their own for no apparent reason. Additionally, it's overly complicated to figure out and manage.

No function, poor support

Pros

I did not notice many issues myself, mainly because I could not get the program to work and neither could my three virtual assistants overseas which was the whole reason I wanted to test it out.

Cons

Communication is a problem as there is no phone support for complaints, issues don't feel heard and I only get automated replies saying a ticket was opened. They also keep trying to take unauthorized payments from my account.

makes it simple to set budgets

Pros

What I like most is how simple and clear it is to use. Managing the team's budgets and setting spending limits is really simple too.

Cons

My biggest issue is that the time spent in meetings, especially when you are just listening and not presenting, really cuts down your recorded work hours. So it just does not seem fair to the employees who are actively participating and still engaged.

smooth tracking but sync issues

Pros

The time tracking is super smooth, and I love that it takes automatic screenshots, it just works. Makes everything feel secure and hassle-free

Cons

The computer's time sync has to be exact or you cannot track time at all. I really hope they fix that. It also does not always detect activity or work accurately.

Worst interface experience

Pros

I do not like anything about Hubstaff as it is just not good in my experience.

Cons

Well I cannot find anything easily even after paying as the system is overly complex. I work with UI regularly and even design it myself but this is like competing with Facebook Manager for the worst interface ever.

good features, but no downgrade option

Pros

All the features work as expected but I am not totally convinced it's worth what they charge.

Cons

They do not let you downgrade your plan. I can remove user seats but there is no way to adjust my billing so I stop getting charged for those removed seats.

excellent tool for cloud projects

Pros

Hubstaff software is a top choice for managing cloud projects and tasks, scheduling team members and hosting a team intranet with chat features. Overall it has really helped boost our productivity.

Cons

Detailed but alerts are annoying

Pros

Installation is pretty simple and it captures detailed insights into every part of our work.

Cons

I really wish we had the option to just turn off the screenshot notifications without having to disable the entire feature. It would be great to have more control over the alerts.

saves time and increases accuracy

Pros

We used to track time manually which was a huge waste of time and always led to inaccurate data and lost revenue. A friend recommended Hubstaff and it solved all those problems. I definitely recommend it.

Cons

It took away the headache of manual time tracking. Overall it is saving us so much time and effort so no complaints.

efficient productivity tracking

Pros

My favorite thing about it is how easy it is to track time and monitor productivity. It works smoothly with tools like Asana and Trello and the reports are detailed enough to help refine workflows and track how the team is doing.

Cons

What I liked least was the occasional app lag especially during busy periods. The interface can also feel cluttered with too many options at times.

Makes timesheets and payroll simple

Pros

Hubstaff is a simple platform that makes time tracking for timesheets and payroll seamless and simple.

Cons

Since this is a separate program, our team has to remember to manually clock in before they start working in other apps. It does not automatically start tracking when someone begins their workday or when they open work-related programs. So an auto-start feature would be a huge help.

Simple for tracking every project

Pros

I feell like this tool is simple and user friendly. Plus we can track our hours across every project we are working on. There is even a Chrome extension to help automate our records further.

Cons

Logging meeting time in the app sometimes causes noticeable lag. It'd be awesome if that felt a bit smoother!

useful reminders but app issues

i really like that it lets you cap working hours and sends reminders about how much time is left something my old time tracking systems never offered.

Cons

Honestly the software really slowed down my computer and on iOS it would randomly stop tracking time or capturing screenshots.
