why jobadder quickly became my favourite ats

Pros

resume search features are incredibly impressive and how it manages the candidate database really makes things easy for us. I also rely on it to locate applicants and monitor their application status.. such a cool app!

Cons

At present I don't notice any real drawbacks with JobAdder; I find it highly effective and very easy for us to use.

easy to customise and flexible for real workflows

Pros

I've been able to fully customize every screen and add extra fields so the software matches our specific requirements.

Cons

When managing retained work, I find the integration with Xero weak which forces me into a more hands-on, manual process compared with contingent invoicing.

simple, organised and ideal for remote teams

Pros

i have been a huge fan of this software since i have started using it as there is no learning curve and very smooth to use. The workflow setups make it really easy for me to monitor candidates, applications and open roles and they help keep all the documentation consolidated in a single spot. It's especially ideal for teams working from home.

Cons

It would be extremely helpful if JA could automatically extract skills from resumes because manually entering that information still eats up a lot of my time that I'd rather spend on higher-value tasks.

it genuinely changed how i manage my day

Pros

the support is reliable and the interface easy to use plus I love that there are unlimited email templates and a Gmail plugin for JobAdder

Cons

I get annoyed that it's not simple to change a role from contract to permanent, for instance and I'm also limited by the inability to create HTML emails.

choosing jobadder was the right call

Pros

JobAdder integration was incredibly easy to set up and I have to say the built-in help system is the best I've come across...it's genuinely outstanding.

Cons

I'd like to see better functionality around searching candidates because my experience with it is not really great as the current candidate search capabilities could use some enhancements to be more efficient.

designed in a way recruiters actually understand

Pros

Honestly I really appreciate how straightforward and intuitive every feature is; it's been so easy to pick things up, the customer support has been phenomenal and in my experience this program outperforms every other tool I've tried so far!

Cons

These days, I can't seem to get the hang of the new dashboard; I've always preferred sticking with the original layout and find myself going back to it because the updated view just doesn't feel natural to me.

powerful features without the learning headache

Pros

The features are really simple and I can view candidates either as a list or in individual files depending on what I need. Links always open in a new tab for me and the whole interface feels incredibly smooth and visually appealing. It actually inspires me to stay productive!

Cons

Not everything communicates well across the system, there are a few small sections that don't sync with others and I'd really like to see updates to make the platform more cohesive. Also, I'm stuck with a bug that prevents me from editing activity sheets unless I contact JA support which is frustrating. Another pain point is in placements: I can't send email or SMS to both the candidate and the client directly from the placement tabs, so those actions aren't aligned with similar features elsewhere.

Smooth to use, just a few basics still missing

Pros

I find the system really straightforward to use as all the pages are interlinked which saves me a great deal of time.

Cons

Although JobAdder's developers are continually rolling out improvements and regularly add new service providers and add-ons, I notice some fundamental elements still feel unfinished, such as the Contact screen which hasn't been brought in line with the refreshed Candidate screen. I've submitted a bunch of practical improvement ideas but so far I haven't seen any of them put into action.

Pros

Personally I've found it includes nearly everything I need to operate a recruitment agency and it doesn't lock me into annual contracts. The support team has been incredible.

Cons

I can't see my team's weekly interviews with candidates or clients which makes coordinating schedules a bit difficult.

great setup just not perfect for every industry

Pros

really impressed with the handful of integrations that are already available for recruiting. I also appreciate the guided, step-by-step training options provided.

Cons

Personally I'd like to see more integration options tailored to light industrial staffing needs. Too many partners seem to price their services expecting high-margin clients but in my experience light industrial firms operate on high volume and thin margins. That makes pricing and cashflow far more important for us than for traditional recruiting shops. I've noticed JobAdder feels a bit more geared toward direct placement workflows instead of supporting high-volume recruiting efficiently. Until there are more flexible, volume-friendly integrations and pricing, it's a challenge for my business.

admins need more control

Pros

I've found JobAdder very user-friendly and straightforward to navigate. There are many customization choices for the most part that suit our workflows. It's simple for me to add candidates to job orders, keep track of applicants, jot down notes, preserve key information and maintain records of placements and related details, etc.

Cons

We're most frustrated by the limited administrative controls we have when problems come up. For example, we used the TimeAdder app but it doesn't sync well with JobAdder and offers very inflexible options for customizing features or toggling them on and off. Frankly, JobAdder seems slow to roll out fixes or enhancements. Ideally, administrators should be able to trigger password reset emails instantly instead of depending on JobAdder to pass the request to TimeAdder and crossing our fingers that it works. Also, I need the ability to switch client reminder emails on or off because clients get annoyed when reminders suddenly resume and swamp their inboxes. Additionally, administrators must be able to create or modify a timesheet from the management console for temps who struggle with the technology and can't complete it themselves. To be candid, there are many more pain points I could list. We've been through a nightmare dealing with temp placements and timesheet management and it's impacting our relationships with clients and the efficiency of our team. More administrative flexibility and better integration with TimeAdder would save us so much time and stress.

helped us work faster and stay organised

Pros

I see that this product has dramatically boosted our overall efficiency and sped up our workflow; its functionality feels solid and thoughtfully designed, and the support team are always helpful and proactive. Several very useful integration options are available and new integrations are continually being introduced. There's also a broad assortment of reports on offer, including ones that can be customized to suit our needs.

Cons

While I find the UI generally quite good, I do notice that at times there are many extra clicks required and a handful of further UX refinements would make the product noticeably easier and more pleasant for me to use.

Fantastic !!!

Pros

I really like how simple it is to view my active job listings, track candidates' progress and post job ads, it makes managing recruitment tasks straightforward and convenient.

Cons

When I search our own candidate database for people to fill new job openings, I often find it less efficient and slower than using tools like SEEK or LinkedIn Recruiter for sourcing.
