“customer service gets on my nerves
Pros
Overall I think the product itself is satisfactory. Its general usability works fine. I've had recruiters tell me they find it simple to use.
Cons
Honestly I wouldn't recommend JobAdder at all. For a company that touts itself as a market leader I'm disappointed by how customers are treated. The support experience is terrible and I've escalated many problems up to director level only to get hollow promises and almost no real fixes. Too often my emails go unanswered; on a few occasions I have followed up five times without any reply. This level of service makes me wary of continuing to use the platform.

“Smooth implementation - great experience !
Pros
I really like how well it integrates with Seek. The site's visual design and overall feel appeal to me...it's simple to move around and I can easily find things. It also offers excellent communication tools including the ability to save email and interview templates.
Cons
When I am screening candidates I can't filter their responses to the screening questions instead I have to open each application and read answers one at a time

Pros
the product's look and feel are quite pleasing and I find the UI simple.

But I ran into a serious drawback.. there isn't enough flexibility to use fields for populating contracts and to top it off our implementation partner went out of business and we lost the money we paid.

“Never trust this unprofessional service
Pros
Initially their sales representative was highly involved and answered every one of my questions quickly before we bought.... the pre-sales communication to be timely and proactively handled throughout the process.
Cons
After the sale the same representative who had been so responsive before purchase went silent as soon as billing problems cropped up. I was disappointed that he also failed to step in when JobAdder wouldn't honor the clearly written agreement about the fixed one-month trial period. During our test run we were required to enter a credit card and I couldn't find any place in the platform to apply the agreed amount, there simply wasn't an option anywhere in the system to do so.

“great recruitment software
Pros
I have found the interface easy to use and it's constantly adding new features.. very intuitive and it helped me multitask while shifting smoothly between roles and candidates. The subscription depended on how many users we had with no lock-in contract. Also I could customise email signatures and many other features.
Cons
When AI matching was first rolled out, I noticed it wasn't always up to scratch though I get that there are bound to be kinks with any new technology.

“Worst software I've ever used - embarrassing
Pros
This software provides a candidate database and simplifies project management for recruitment.
Cons
The email/calendar integration is practically useless. It's surprising that Google Workplace users still require a widget plugin, as it feels outdated. Additionally, the customization options for fields are severely limited, and the LinkedIn integration does not function as advertised. Posting jobs to LinkedIn directly from JobAdder has become less functional, rendering it practically useless. Attempts to verify your domain for direct email sending from JobAdder never seem to work. Support response time is slow, averaging 4-12 hours via email. However, when they do respond, they tend to provide links to articles that I have already read, rather than addressing my specific concerns.

Pros
as a recruiter the platform provides me a complete and end-to-end recording of processes and data concerning candidate and client management, along with the related relationship building and retention.
Cons
I currently move a variety of detailed documents from Office 365 into JobAdder manually at the close of each project or process which can be time-consuming; however, it might not be a true problem since I could probably find a tutorial or a tool to automate the task.

“Still my top choice after years of use
Pros
I've been using JobAdder for over six years and have to say it's a standout system that keeps getting better. From my perspective, the team constantly pushes updates and improvements so it feels like the platform is improving every single day. With a clear understanding of recruiters' needs, the product often anticipates what we want next. Their support crew is impressively responsive, even accommodating queries within New Zealand timeframes which I really value. Overall I'm very happy with the system and don't see myself moving away any time soon. The how-to tutorials and the software update videos are brilliant for someone like me who is short on time; they make it easy to stay current and actually use the new features.
Cons
The one downside I've noticed is the website interface which wasn't customizable enough to match my brand's style. As a result, I now post job ads to my website manually and that's not great for efficiency. What I wanted was the ability to include a picture and apply a particular font to fit our identity but the template choices were too limited and the overall layout didn't align with our design. If more control over visual elements were offered, it would solve this issue for me.

Pros
Having ad scheduling and the ability to publish to multiple platforms simultaneously has completely changed things for our team. We can reclaim a huge amount of time by not having to randomly post ads throughout the week across different channels, everything can be done in one go now which is fantastic for managing candidates and really saves us time!

The features are really simple and I can view candidates either as a list or in individual files depending on what I need. Links always open in a new tab for me and the whole interface feels incredibly smooth and visually appealing. It actually inspires me to stay productive!
Cons
Not everything communicates well across the system, there are a few small sections that don't sync with others and I'd really like to see updates to make the platform more cohesive. Also, I'm stuck with a bug that prevents me from editing activity sheets unless I contact JA support which is frustrating. Pros
really impressed with the handful of integrations that are already available for recruiting. I also appreciate the guided, step-by-step training options provided.
Cons
Personally I'd like to see more integration options tailored to light industrial staffing needs. Too many partners seem to price their services expecting high-margin clients but in my experience light industrial firms operate on high volume and thin margins. That makes pricing and cashflow far more important for us than for traditional recruiting shops. I've noticed JobAdder feels a bit more geared toward direct placement workflows instead of supporting high-volume recruiting efficiently. “admins need more control
Pros
I've found JobAdder very user-friendly and straightforward to navigate. There are many customization choices for the most part that suit our workflows. It's simple for me to add candidates to job orders, keep track of applicants, jot down notes, preserve key information and maintain records of placements and related details, etc.
Cons
We're most frustrated by the limited administrative controls we have when problems come up. For example, we used the TimeAdder app but it doesn't sync well with JobAdder and offers very inflexible options for customizing features or toggling them on and off. Frankly, JobAdder seems slow to roll out fixes or enhancements. Ideally, administrators should be able to trigger password reset emails instantly instead of depending on JobAdder to pass the request to TimeAdder and crossing our fingers that it works. Also, I need the ability to switch client reminder emails on or off because clients get annoyed when reminders suddenly resume and swamp their inboxes. Additionally, administrators must be able to create or modify a timesheet from the management console for temps who struggle with the technology and can't complete it themselves. To be candid, there are many more pain points I could list. We've been through a nightmare dealing with temp placements and timesheet management and it's impacting our relationships with clients and the efficiency of our team. More administrative flexibility and better integration with TimeAdder would save us so much time and stress.

“so good it influenced my career decisions
Pros
I absolutely adore JobAdder and would happily recommend it to any business because I find it straightforward and really easy to use. The information is presented clearly and is simple to navigate. One feature I especially value is the industry sections, I can add a ton of optional candidate details like inductions, qualifications, skills and more which makes talent searching much more effective. On a personal level, I discovered my first company was planning to stop using JA and that revelation helped me make the difficult decision to leave the organisation (along with several other problems); it was the final push I needed to hand in my resignation. When I later learned my current employer also uses JA, that helped convince me to take the job. Thank you JobAdder, I genuinely love what you do and appreciate the tool.
Cons
At a quick glance, I'd like to see any critical notes displayed next to a candidate's name so they don't get lost or overflow onto other pages when additional notes are added. Small but crucial flags are imperative for the recruitment process. For example, a visible tag like 'banned from FMG sites' would be really helpful and prevent potential issues.

Pros
I find it cheaper than competing options when we have two users or fewer, so it has been a cost-effective choice for our small team.
Cons
When we first started using the software, it turned out to be a truly terrible and painful experience for our team. We now deeply regret choosing Jobadder and even after pouring extra dollars into the highest setup tier, we're planning to switch to another ATS after only six months. My advice is to check how every feature you rely on actually behaves because it's likely to operate differently than you'd expect. There is no automation which is a big drawback. The UI feels Byzantine and the UX is poor. Some integrations are simply unavailable on certain servers and the Aircall integration doesn't work at all. The platform can be sluggish and the time cost stacks up when it's used heavily. The knowledge base is weak and reporting capabilities are disappointing.

Pros
JobAdder's workflows helped our team shape and improve recruitment steps. I found it easy to use.
Cons
Unfortunately, collaborating directly with my hiring teams through the system wasn't possible. Because of that, I couldn't grant hiring managers access to the platform.
