good HR and payroll management tool

Pros

The platform does a great job centralizing all our employee data and records in one place, plus it integrates smoothly with HR and payroll systems. Employees can easily access their benefits information and make informed decisions about what works for them. I really appreciate the online management capabilities for both employers and employees, and the integration with third-party applications works well too.

Cons

Sometimes runs into integration problems with third-party payroll systems and you'll need technical support to get it working smoothly with your existing employee database and packages.

great platform that increases your productivity

Pros

Its really user-friendly and there are a lot of features available. I find it employee-friendly, which makes a huge difference. As an HR admin, it's pretty simple once you get proper training and if you stick to the process for onboarding, qualifying events, and terminations, it's basically foolproof.

Cons

The marketplace claims to integrate with various payroll vendors for complete connectivity, which sounds great in theory. However, we ran into multiple issues during setup and couldn't get it working properly due to technical complications. Ended up going back to manual payroll updates, which defeats the whole purpose.

suitable Choice for smaller and medium sized businesses

Pros

I find it easy to use for both our staff and administrators. The development team regularly rolls out improvements based on what users actually request, which is refreshing. There's solid integration with numerous carriers too. What I appreciate most is the dashboard, as soon as you log in, you can instantly see how many people haven't started their tasks, who's currently working on something, and which items are waiting for approval.

Cons

I wish they would connect with more payroll companies. It's disappointing that clients now need to have at least one Sun Life coverage line. Other enrollment platforms owned by carriers dont have this requirement.

disappointing software experience, stay away

Pros

The employee login interface has a really clean and well-organized layout that I appreciate.

Cons

Customer service is terrible, you're better off figuring things out yourself. There are definitely better options out there so dont waste your time.

clear benefits display but lacks policy merging

Pros

I appreciate how all the benefits are clearly displayed for each individual and updating profiles is not complicated. Since I work with a group of doctors, I'm always adjusting their income information for insurance requirements. The website interface is user-friendly and makes modifications simple. Adding children to profiles is also easy.

Cons

The inability to merge products from other sources onto the platform is frustrating. I'd love to add my umbrella policy for doctors, but since it's not tied to my broker, there's no way to include it. Adding employee benefits like vacation schedules and sick time charts would be incredibly helpful for tracking time off, though this might already be possible, I just dont have access to that information.

They don�t bother us unnecessarily

Pros

They keep communication simple and don't flood us with pointless emails or constant updates. When we do hear from them, it's always something we actually need to know. What really stands out is how they treat our issues like their own problems and genuinely work to fix things.

Cons

Setup process could be smoother and managing provider relationships takes some getting used to, though nothing has been a real problem so far

Does all the heavylifting for us

Pros

Maxwell Health has been a lifesaver for our team handling benefits. It takes on most of the heavy lifting and really manages everything we do.

Cons

The open enrollment gets confusing when youre not changing anything. All your current benefits show up in the cart and it's unclear whether you actually need to do something or not. Would be great if there was better guidance on what steps are actually required.

excellent experience so far

Pros

Its quite simple to get the hang of. Setting up employees is simple, I just enter their basic details and they can handle the rest themselves. It's been a huge time-saver since I don't have to manually input everything for each person. The self-service aspect works really well, and my team finds it user-friendly too. Plus, it keeps me updated on insurance decisions and waivers which is helpful for tracking coverage.

Cons

Only thing that bothers me is getting an email notification every time someone logs in. I think those alerts should go to whoever manages user access instead of me. Other than that, I'd prefer if notifications were only sent when someone actually wants insurance or decides to waive their plan, not for every login.
