“Centralized workforce management
Pros
One of the things I love is how it centralizes workforce management. Instead of juggling separate systems for payroll, rostering, time tracking and HR, everything is in one platform. It cuts down on manual entry, reduces errors and saves me a ton of time.
Cons
The reporting and analytics feel a bit lacking. The reports aren't as detailed as I need and sometimes feel clunky and hard to read. I wish there were more advanced options.

“Good value for small organizations
Pros
I feel the pricing and value for money are pretty good compared to competitors. It might not have every feature of bigger platforms but it works well for a small organization like mine.
Cons
The API feels like it was rushed. I think a lot of things don't work properly and some actions simply can't be done via the API.

Pros
This tool completely changed how I manage payroll and rosters. The automation has cut payroll processing time by around 70%, letting me focus on other parts of the business. I also love that I can see costs in real time while preparing rosters which gives me better control over wages.
Cons
Payroll tax calculations for WA aren't accurate which has caused issues for me.

“Helpful messaging feature
Pros
It's been a great investment for our small business. I use it both as an admin and as an employee and the new messaging feature is my favorite. I can send group messages to specific staff or everyone at once.
Cons
Some features were overwhelming at the start because there are so many options especially when switching rostering or payroll systems. Luckily the support team has been great.

“Time-saving for complex nonprofit payroll
Pros
I've been using it for my growing nonprofit with multiple departments and complex pay rules. What used to take me an hour for 8 employees now takes under 20 minutes for 19 employees. The Skills feature looks really promising and I'm excited to set it up to save even more time.
Cons
I found the rostering system a bit tough for the many departments I manage, since each has different schedules. For a single department or a more standard roster, it would work perfectly.

The program is user-friendly and the setup guide is simple even though I'm completely new to payroll and STP reporting. Whenever I get stuck the tech team is fast to respond and explains things clearly even for someone non-technical like me.
Cons
Not a con but doing STP and paying myself as a closely-held employee was completely outside my comfort zone. I struggled with entering all the data but this isn't a criticism of the tool, it's just that QuickBooks and MYOB which I tried first, were more complicated and expensive.

Pros
When it's working right, it's way more efficient than using a spreadsheet. Calculations seem accurate and great and support is usually quick to respond, even if sometimes not as helpful as I'd like.
Cons
There are quite a few shortcomings with the software and I think the company is slow to fix them. Employee payslips sometimes show taxable income incorrectly with no easy way to fix it. Reports are hard to read and often missing info. Integrations with platforms like Xero and MYOB are prone to errors and there's no clear way to prevent or identify mistakes. It's frustrating, even knowing the software is still in development.

Pros
The payroll system is extremely user-friendly for me. I run payroll for three different venues with split shifts and cost centers and everything works smoothly. Support calls are always answered quickly and the staff are super helpful, they usually fix problems that I caused by not knowing a step properly. I also like that employees can access payslips and update their details which makes administration much easier.
Cons
I would like better costing options for my departments especially when splitting shifts into breakfast, lunch and dinner, it would make budgeting much easier.

Processing monthly payroll is simple for me and onboarding or terminating staff is quick and easy. Reviewing and processing is easy, staff get payslips directly to their inbox and reporting covers everything needed for the general ledger. Being cloud-based lets me work from home easily.
