Amazing payroll option for charter schools

Pros

PayBridge has been an absolute lifesaver for us. We support a bunch of schools, each with its own unique payroll needs especially when it comes to reporting for teacher retirements like STRS and PERS. Thankfully, It gives us customizable payroll and reporting tools that make it easy to handle all that. I love that the system automatically updates the annual STRS and PERS rates every July 1st, right in line with the state changes in California. Their support team is just incredible. They know our industry inside and out and we've had the same dedicated support person since we signed up. He's insanely knowledgeable and always fixes whatever comes up right away. I honestly wish I could say the same for the other big-name payroll company we work with, unfortunately, I'm constantly explaining our needs to their reps and they still don't get it. Meanwhile, It's constantly improving and rolling out new features and their tech keeps getting better. If you're looking for a payroll or HR service that you can really tailor to your needs, I seriously recommend giving it a shot. They've gone above and beyond for us.

Cons

Nothing bad, I've only had a great experience with it so far. Everything's gone smoothly and it's been reliable for us.

Works perfectly for our charter school

Pros

It's hands down the best we've ever experienced. Any time we've had an issue while running payroll, they've responded lightning fast, sometimes even calling directly depending on how urgent it is. We've worked with several payroll companies before but none of them truly delivered until we found it. As a school district, our needs are complex with all sorts of unique pay situations, special reports and retirement requirements. It has managed to meet every one of them. Their system is super flexible and they've customized salary structures for 10, 11, and 12 month employees, retirement reporting, salary grades, GLs and accruals. I haven't come across a single request they couldn't handle. And what's more, their system is always evolving with the times. If you're on the hunt for a reliable, responsive and fully customizable payroll system, It should be your first stop. They're just that good.

Cons

Whenever something didn't quite work for us in the system, it always came through with a solution. They've been really responsive and helpful.

Love the flexibility, pay for just what I use

Pros

What I like about this tool is how well it fits our needs without forcing us into some massive, overpriced package with stuff we don't use. We started out with just the basics and plan to add more HR features as we go. Once you get familiar with the software, it's actually really easy to use. Their team is fantastic and I have a dedicated support person I can call directly and she always gives me immediate answers. Our payroll syncs really well with their Time & Labor system, so tracking accruals has been way more accurate. And if anything needs to be adjusted, their team makes the changes right away, no delays or long ticket queues. Honestly I'd recommend PayBridge to anyone who wants an HR system that's flexible, efficient and backed by a really responsive team.

Cons

Honestly, no complaints at all. The implementation went well and everything worked out just the way we hoped.

Longtime user and still love it

Pros

Getting started with it was smooth and everything they promised us has turned out to be true. Since we're based in Ohio, our state and local tax setup is kind of a mess but it has totally taken that burden off us. Our payroll and taxes are always accurate now. I also love how their tech keeps improving; they really stay on top of it. Every single person we've worked with whether it's someone from sales, implementation, taxes or our account manager has been professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I've had the same support contacts since the beginning which makes a big difference. We've used other payroll providers in the past but it stands way above the rest. If you're looking for a solid payroll or HCM provider, you should definitely consider them.

Cons

There aren't many downsides. We didn't run into anything tricky when it came to learning or using the software. We use both Payroll and Time and I've got to say, I'm really impressed with how smoothly everything runs.

Big fan of their helpful support team

Pros

Their tutorial guides are kind of limited but I've never had an issue just reaching out to my account specialist directly. They always walk me through whatever I need. I use it for payroll, recruitment, applicant tracking and onboarding. Each piece has its own level of complexity, so I usually need a couple of training sessions. After we roll out a new module, I meet with my specialist every week to go over any issues and they always get things sorted fast.

Cons

It gives us a solid HR system and the kind of customer service you don't usually find anymore. I never have to call a generic helpline. I get to speak directly to my account specialist every time. That consistency makes everything easier and faster because they already know our setup. Whenever I call or email, I get a response super quickly and everyone I deal with is always helpful and friendly. What's also great is how scalable their system is. We rolled out Payroll first, then added Onboarding then moved into Recruitment and Applicant Tracking. They worked around our schedule and implemented each piece at the right time for us. Their tech is constantly being updated and improved and they're always open to customizing it to match our business needs.

Our PayBridge experience at the club

Pros

We really like all the features it offers and how easy it is to use. We don't use everything they offer because we're a smaller company but what we do use works great. Their customer service is always on point and if I ever have to leave a voicemail, I get a callback within 20 minutes. That kind of responsiveness is hard to come by these days and it gives us peace of mind knowing help is always there when we need it.

Cons

There's nothing we dislike about the payroll system. If anything, we probably need to start using more of the features they offer because I know there's a lot we haven't tapped into yet.

Best fit for school payroll needs

Pros

Any time I've got a question, there's always someone ready to help and it's always the same person which I love. He knows our payroll process just as well as I do, sometimes even catching little mistakes I didn't notice like an extra number or a misplaced decimal. He always checks with me before running payroll to make sure everything's right. They also really know their stuff when it comes to state retirement rules and all the different reporting requirements. It's just nice having someone on the other end who understands our setup so well and takes the time to get things right.

Cons

We've had zero complaints with It. Everything's been working great for us.
