“manages payroll well
Pros
Really appreciate how this handles all the payroll processing online. It works great for any size business. The online portal makes it super convenient to update employee records and pull reports whenever I need them. What I love most is that they take care of all the tax filings so I can focus on actually running my business instead of worrying about tax regulations.
Cons
Hard to find any real downsides after using this for over two decades. The team is always there when I need them and fixes things quickly.

Cons
Poor customer service availability outside normal work hours. You're basically stuck if something goes wrong evenings or weekends.

“My payroll specialist is the reason I stick to PrimePay
Pros
My payroll specialist is very cooperative. Honestly she's one of the main reasons I stick with this service. Whenever something needs attention, she genuinely cares and makes sure we get what we need. She starts early in the morning and gets our payroll processed efficiently and ahead of schedule which we really appreciate. The way she treATs us as clients is outstanding.
Cons
The quarterly reports take way too long to complete and become available which really puts us behind in our accounting processes. As a company, we'd prefer to wrap up our quarterlies much sooner. Another issue is that we no longer have UPs as a delivery option,which is frustrating since we used to rely on that service.

Pros
I found the portal really convenient to pick up and using it day-to-day has not been difficult. What really sets this apart though is the support team, there's always someone available when I need help with questions or payroll adjustments. Honestly can't imagine switching to anything else at this point.
Cons
Can't think of any real downsides. Everything runs smoothly and the accuracy is spot-on.

Pros
In my experience it is a very user friendly system. Whenever I run into something confusing, their customer support team is absolutely wonderful. They're so friendly and helpful that calling them feels like chatting with a close friend who genuinely cares. It might sound a bit dramatic but I'd honestly be devastated if this company ever disappeared. They're doing such an excellent job!
Cons
I guess if I really had to nitpick, I'd say the fees could be lower. But honestly that's not even fair to complain about since what they charge is totally reasonable and we're really happy with the service.

I would say it is not complicated to use. Running payroll feels effortless and getting new hires set up in the system happens quickly. Staff can access their pay information without any hassle. Tax season becomes much more manageable since it automatically sends out 1099s and puts together comprehensive tax packages with everything you need. The support team is really helpful when issues come up.
Cons
Finding certain information can be tricky sometimes and when I need help, the support team is really helpful. However there's usually a long wait when calling and emails take a couple days to get responses.

The interface here is really easy to pick up but it's still powerful enough to handle everything we need. I've tried other platforms before and they just don't come close in terms of user-friendliness.
Cons
Had an issue where some payroll categories weren't showing up on the pay stubs but customer service fixed it right away with just one call.

“can rehire without going through onboarding process

Really simple to get around the platform and the onboarding process was smooth. Having a dedicated customer service rep for my accounts makes everything so much easier. Pulling reports is simple and I love that I can rehire people without going through the whole onboarding process again.
Cons
Made a few errors along the way. Certain reports are hard to locate without reaching out for help. Takes several days to find out if someone on the team didn't get their paycheck. Support isn't available on weekends or after hours.

“fast onboarding but employee portal not good

setting up new employees is so easy. I can get them in the system quickly without jumping through a bunch of hoops. With our high turnover rate, this organized process is a real lifesaver since I need to onboard people fast.
Cons
Updates don't always make business sense. They switched how you update pay amounts. The new system is outdated and hard to understand. Plus the employee portal is pretty unfriendly and none of our staff actually uses it.
