“Easy in Basics But Not User Friendly”
Pros
I have loved how easy it is to send eCards for staff recognition. I also like being able to add important updates about company initiatives to a platform that keeps everything in one place without the hassle of scrolling through emails.
Cons
As the acting administrator, I have faced several challenges, including maintaining the employee database accurately and easily, creating guides for staff on how to use the software, getting timely and complete answers to questions and ensuring follow-through from those who promised to follow up. Turnover with our client success manager affected holiday use, and implementation has been difficult. Support has not been steadily accessible from a single person, so I often have to start from scratch with my questions. I have received several "success articles" on similar questions, but they vary in relevance. Its still a process of trial and error.

“2022 Review”
Pros
Nothing about it stands out to me as particularly innovative or easy to grasp without some initial training.
Cons
Just to mention my recent dislike about it: I do not like the current date format. I would prefer using MM/DD/YYYY.

“Reward Gateway Is A Great Motivator for Staff”
Pros
We love being able to set up automatic rewards for our employees, like the Birthday Gift that goes out on their birthday. Its so simple in automating several tasks. We also lik that Reward Gateway builds a more collaborative system by providing track of employee anniversaries and all other such services that its feature provides.
Cons
My least favorite aspect is the inability to make self-edits to employee profiles since changes like name updates have to go through customer support. Creating new recognitions or awards also requires customer service involvement.

“Works Well”
Pros
A lot of tools that I found helpful, such as blog features and the ability to create custom pages, smart hubs and more.
Cons
The mobile app is pretty useless. The overall viewability of the product is acceptable, but it is not very engaging, which makes it harder to encourage employees and managers to use Reward Gateway. We mainly use it for posting company news, but the recognition features are not catchy or entertaining enough.

“Great Recognition Software”
Pros
Reward Gateway is easy to set up and use. The rewards catalog is impressive and the discounts are a great bonus.
Cons
Keeping employee information up to date is not easy. Invoicing is tricky because we need to specify when and how much we should be invoiced for.

“Reward Gateway Review”
Pros
Reward Gateway is simple to navigate from an employee's perspective.
Cons
The system lacks a rules engine for the approval process. It does not allow for skipping approvers who have already approved earlier in the cycle. For instance, a manager who is also the budget owner or HRBP might end up approving twice for the same person. The system also does not recognize or skip an approver approving as themselves. Additionally, there is no way to use management chains or other rules to assign approvers at different levels. We have to script these rules into the SFTP file and manually maintain them. For example, level 1 approver could be the nominee's line manager, level 2 approver could be the nominee's HR partner, and level 3 could be all people in department X, with approval routed accordingly. For direct cash awards paid outside the platform (which GUILD calls non-monetary awards), there is no way to edit the suggested amount or return the step to a previous stage. If an amount changes during the approval process, we have to cancel the award, ask the nominator to resubmit and go through the entire approval process again. Clients have very limited configuration options compared to what GUILD support can do, so we need to submit a ticket for basic setup. For example, we want to limit the number of nominations a person can receive (e.g., 1 per month) to avoid duplicate awards for the same work.

“Reward Gateway as a Tool at EVP”
Pros
Reward Gateway has provided us with a tool for both peer-to-peer and manager-to-teammate recognition. We also use it for mass communication to our staff. Access has been simple and the "blog" features have improved our broadcast communication efforts.
Cons
At times, I have found support a bit hard to understand, but the situation is steadily improving and support has become more consistent.

“Great Idea - Not Happy with Product”
Pros
The concept behind it is fantastic. Its seamless integration with ADP is a big advantage and I like the employee home page. Beyond that, there's not much else to admire about, especially considering how confusing the admin side is.
Cons
I personally loved the product when it was Brand Integrity. However, since Reward Gateway acquired or merged with Brand Integrity, I feel the product has significantly declined. There are several things I do not like: 1) It went from being a fun way to engage employees to requiring everyone to have a working email and two-factor authentication; if you do not have an email, it won't work. We have 110 employees without work emails who cannot use this product. 2) Our CEO cannot write group reviews because of the security features (she reports to no one). We went from a small company managing this platform, which was great, to a multi-million dollar company and it seems things have gotten worse.

“A great employee engagement and recognition tool”
Pros
Since using the platform, we've seen a lot of engagement in the awards and recognition section. Our managers love being able to offer real-time monetary rewards and recognize employees in a way that allows the whole company to celebrate their success.
Cons
It would be helpful to have guidance on writing blogs as we created one ourselves since Reward Gateway didn't provide one. I did also like to see blog activity featured more prominently, similar to recognition and rewards and to have the option to add GIFs or memes as reactions. Additionally, when the product was sold to us, we were told it would integrate with other software like Teams, but we had to set up the integration ourselves. It would be better if the integration process were explained more clearly for those not in IT.

“Great start for your Employee Recognition Program”
Pros
Reward Gateway's implementation process was quick and their customer support is very responsive. If you're looking to integrate an Employee Recognition program, they have all the features to make it successful. Their marketplace is fantastic too as it allows employees to choose how they want to redeem their rewards. Plus, they keep adding new features.
Cons
The customization of reports, especially for determining ROI or employee usage, could be improved. Currently, you are limited to pre-made reports, some of which might not be useful in the long run. Customization of names is also an issue as the system prefers legal names, but some employees use preferred names. It would be great to have the option to use preferred names to make rewards and recognition more personalized. I know the team is updating features periodically, so I hope for more improvements in the future.

“Gateway Review”
Pros
We use the newsfeed and employee recognition features daily and they work great. We also treat the platform as an internal website for sharing company communications and celebrating our culture. The smarthub building features are fantastic, though I wish there were more design options, like changing the color of certain elements, such as the awful default green of the button features.
Cons
Customer service has been very unsatisfactory, and the video features are constantly broken. We rarely get a clear explanation for these issues. Most of the time, the customer service team blames the user without offering actionable solutions. We upload a video from every week, and it is common for the video to get stuck in processing or for there to be no response from the uploader. This is our biggest frustration. Additionally, we did like more freedom in design and stylistic choices (such as colors). The reporting features also use lifetime data, which is unhelpful since the data includes people who are no longer with the firm. There is no way to adjust this without affecting other data, and customer support has not provided a satisfactory solution despite numerous requests.

“Great tool for engagement!”
Pros
The ease of use and flexibility to make changes are crucial. Our team loves the eCards and the opportunities to recognize each other. Its an excellent tool for engagement.
Cons
It'd be great if we are able to run more detailed reports, such as getting specifics on each of the eCards who is using them and what is being said rather than just knowing the overall percentage of usage.

“Surprised to be fond of Fond”
Pros
It's easy to use, and in today's economic climate, the ability to give and receive 'bonuses' from coworkers for hard work feels rewarding.
Cons
There are too many emails and notifications. However, routing all Fond notices to a separate email folder and checking that folder periodically made it manageable. Its not a deal breaker.

“Customer service”
Pros
The software itself is good but issues arise when there's a problem. As a company, we have waited three days without a resolution. While the delay is somewhat understandable, the complete lack of communication is not.
Cons
The lack of communication regarding support is an issue. Our system has been down for five days with no updates at all.
