Improved dialogue across teams

Pros

We have found that the platform significantly enhances our capacity to foster open, bidirectional conversations among leaders and colleagues throughout our network of agencies and groups, yielding much greater engagement.

Cons

Not a con but I'm eager to see forthcoming features including support for hard-coded hyperlinks and a means to tag a specific person in a post so that they receive a notification confirming they were mentioned and I would also appreciate richer visual elements being embedded in the platform such as emojis, memes, photographs and similar media.

Simple tool for rollout

Pros

Our organisation worked closely with their team to integrate their employee engagement platform into our operations with minimal disruption and they handled even last-minute requests and alterations with remarkable professionalism, while the data and perspectives we obtained from the employee survey have proven to be exceptionally valuable for our decision-making.

Cons

I find the application incredibly easy to navigate and operate, so I honestly cannot identify any drawbacks to report.

Great support team

Pros

Customer support from this tool has been outstanding and over the course of our engagement they've assisted me and my colleagues in rolling out several bespoke, organisation-wide staff surveys while providing deeply revealing analytics that have informed our decisions. We frequently rely on the tool to deploy brief pulse surveys and from an internal communications standpoint it's valuable to have a confidential channel where people can candidly share feedback with us.

Cons

Although we appreciate many features, we don't make use of all the core capabilities because our teams often choose to communicate openly rather than anonymously and in addition I find it challenging to benchmark our results since it's difficult to see how our data stacks up against comparable organisations.

Easy survey flow with high participation

Pros

As a group, we found the survey remarkably easy to use, its layout was clear and simple, enabling people to follow the questions without confusion and it was warmly received by our colleagues which made the rollout smooth. Over the course of this year we observed a noticeable rise in participation rates for the survey, indicating improved engagement. Although we have not yet activated the always-on feature, we have been taken through several demonstrations and the functionality again appears easy and user-friendly, promising to allow us to pulse our people more frequently so that we can uncover issues sooner and develop timely remedies. The team were fantastic, exceptionally helpful and accommodating and they produced an excellent, detailed report on our survey findings.

Cons

My main frustration is that there is no place within the platform where our colleagues can store or manage their action and improvement plans arising from the survey results which limits follow-through.

Great for real-time use

Pros

What I appreciate most is how simple the platform is to operate and its ability to function in real time, because that combined with the extensive reach it provides allows me to engage very large numbers of people quickly and efficiently, additionally, the anonymous feedback option empowers individuals who might otherwise remain silent to contribute, giving me an honest, warts-and-all perspective on sentiments and opinions and the richness of the data analytics coupled with the consistently responsive support from the entire team makes the whole experience outstanding.

Cons

I genuinely cannot identify any specific change I would want implemented at this stage, since the system reliably provides exactly the capabilities and outcomes we need for our work.

Supports transparency during change

Pros

During our transition, it has turned into one of the most effective tools we've relied on to manage change and unite people, particularly by making leaders more reachable to every employee, thereby improving communication, transparency and psychological safety.

Cons

At times I find the user experience less simple than it ought to be, because after regular use of social networks we instinctively try to interact with this tool as though it were Facebook or Instagram which naturally it is not and consequently the navigation can feel somewhat confusing.

Safe space for employee questions

Pros

As someone who uses it, I find that it creates a secure space where employees feel able to pose questions and voice concerns and it also enables prompt exchanges among staff across the organization, additionally, the moderation features allow delicate matters to remain private until a qualified business specialist can provide the accurate information or response to publish.

Cons

While I was not involved in the original implementation phase, I have since assumed the role of overseeing the conversations and I feel it would be helpful if routine queries could be routed back to the requester with an initial acknowledgment or point of contact rather than immediately appearing on the public wall, for example when someone simply asks for the air conditioning to be adjusted.

Well-moderated tool

Pros

Using Rival Onboard, I find the interface simple and I appreciate how tightly it's moderated and controlled which gives me confidence, we can filter through questions and comments and choose to respond privately when necessary and the system enables flexible replies that match the nature of each remark, resulting in a broader range of employees feeling they can raise questions or make points without fear of being singled out.

Cons

We would welcome an easier way to categorise incoming questions and to be fair such functionality may exist but we do not currently use it, additionally, while anonymous posting has its benefits, it sometimes produces aggressive or personal messages, though we are able to reply privately to request that the sender rephrase before anything is published publicly.

Anonymous option boosts engagement

Pros

Using the anonymous feature has significantly improved employee engagement and I've also received outstanding customer support from the team.

Cons

Although I understand improvements are planned, I feel the approval mechanism that governs posts after moderation and prior to appearing in the feed needs further enhancement to meet our needs.

Excellent UX with powerful survey results

The portal's user experience is outstanding, offering an extremely simple log-in and an effortless survey submission process. As a team, we have had consistently positive responses about how easy completing the survey was and I believe that factor unquestionably helped us achieve our highest response rate yet. Having unrestricted access to tailored results has revolutionised the way we operate as an organisation, because empowering numerous leaders with such in-depth data and actionable insights has significantly simplified the formulation of improvement and action plans. Cons

Nothing springs to mind right now, overall we have discovered that this tool truly meets our company's requirements better than our previous supplier did.
