What I like is how well each module integrates with the others as data transfers automatically between attendance, payroll and performance, keeping everything aligned and consistent.
Cons
During my first week, I had some trouble navigating because the interface did not feel very user friendly at first. But the support team stepped in and gave excellent onboarding help.

“Accurate payroll with self-service tools

Overall I am really happy with the software and it is pretty easy to navigate. Also its payroll calculations and compliance features are pretty accurate. The self-service tools let employees handle basics themselves and whenever I have needed help the customer support has been responsive. Plus it connects well with other systems and I trust its data security and overall stability.
Cons
There's a noticeable learning curve for newcomers and at times the system loads slowly. Also I have had headaches trying to sync it with some third-party platforms. And I feel like the built-in reporting and analytics could be much more powerful and user-friendly. The mobile app still needs polishing and overall the pricing and licensing structure is a bit steep and complicated for what we get.

The system is really easy to navigate with its clean, simple layout which means even new employees can find their way around without much trouble. Implementation went smoothly too and the training materials were actually helpful. I especially like how many features are packed into one system like attendance, payroll, leave management so most HR needs are covered in a single place. Integration with other systems works well too and helps make processes more efficient. I use SunFish every day to clock in and out, check my attendance history and submit leave requests. Overall it's become part of my daily routine.
Cons
The attendance module is a recurring problem. As it often gives errors when I try to clock in or out and since every correction needs supervisor approval, the process becomes slow and frustrating especially when it happens often. Though customer support is responsive and tries to help but fully fixing the issue can take longer than expected.

We started using SunFish back in 2017 during the implementation phase. From the beginning, the goal was to avoid customizations so future updates could be applied automatically and our talks with the implementation team went smoothly enough to make that happen. We also appreciate that the software is used across many industries and organizations, so it's built to handle a wide range of business needs, not just one type. On top of that, after-sales support is easy to reach and we can discuss any system issues whenever they come up. In short, the three main strengths we keep coming back to are, the system fit our needs without extra customization, the vendor has real experience across different industries and their post-sales service is reliable and always accessible.
Cons
Overall cost for our company is on the higher side compared with other HR systems, even though this software generally offers stronger specifications. Another drawback I have noticed is that it does not provide support or sponsorship for customer events, so if you were expecting that kind of partnership for company functions, it won't be available.

What I like most is how it keeps all employee data in one place as that is incredibly helpful. I also like the user-friendly self-service portal, where staff can easily view their payslips and check time-off balances. Attendance tracking and leave management features are also good and get the job done well. Overall, it makes HR tasks much simpler for our team.
Cons
The biggest drawback is the limited customization in performance management. I have also noticed that some people experience slowdowns when pulling data or generating large reports. So improving speed and performance is essential so employees can work without interruptions.

SunFish covers a wide range of HR tasks from attendance and hiring to performance reviews, training, and payroll and the best part is that we can choose only the modules we actually need. It also supports multinational companies by letting us set up payroll in different currencies. Plus it automates admin work like payroll runs and tax calculations and helps us stay compliant with labor laws and tax rules Lastly the helpdesk responds quickly whenever issues come up.
Cons
What bothers me is the outdated UI/UX design. While the system offers a lot of configurable features and can be tailored to our company's needs, its interface feels somewhat old-fashioned and not very appealing. ISo yes I wish the visuals and user experience were refreshed to match the breadth of functionality the platform provides.
