Their training program impressed me and I learned it fast. The software stays simple and I use it while hiring staff.
Cons
We didn't find the product lacking in features or difficult to learn and the interface and capabilities matched our needs. The real obstacle was internal preference despite my advocating for adopting this third-party recruiting platform my organization voted to keep recruitment in-house so we never implemented it into our hiring processes or day-to-day operations.

Techscreen makes it incredibly easy to screen candidates and quickly detect fake applicants before they ever reach our clients. I can run thorough checks, generate detailed reports in minutes and send them off without any back-and-forth hassle. It organizes the whole process and gives me confidence that I'm only moving forward with genuine, qualified people.
Cons
Sometimes I find it tricky to tell whether certain questions are really applicable to a specific role but when that happens we just show the client the questions we plan to ask and get their opinion before moving forward.

Cons
I've found that candidates often become confused by the wording and ask for further clarification so I end up having to come up with different ways to phrase the question. Also when I create my own questions there isn't an option to highlight my chosen keywords.

Cons
Some of the phrasing can be unclear to applicants both in the prompts and the offered answer choices so candidates might be puzzled. Beyond that issue I still think it's a very dependable tool for technically assessing prospective hires and evaluating fit for roles and opportunities.

As someone who isn't a software developer I struggle to judge whether a candidate is actually qualified when they don't use the key highlighted terms, it's hard to know if a gap is just wording or a real skills issue. It would be really helpful if the tool showed years of experience next to the labels for beginning, intermediate and advanced because our job requests usually state a number of years and those don't always line up with the platform's 'avg' or 'advanced' tags. I'd also like the option to add more notes to a candidate's results after the interview is over, right now there's no way to go back and edit or append what I wrote. Finally separating Front End, Back End and Full Stack into distinct categories would make life easier since many roles need specific combinations and the current grouping blurs those distinctions.
