“support team makes all the difference

Pros

I work at a company that helps small and midsize businesses. It always works well for our clients. I really like their support team, they're easy to work with.

Cons

you can make it do really complex things like detailed job costing. But that means you have to set it up just right. once you do, it helps us keep our small business clients loyal.

“Powerful once you get it configured

Pros

It's easy for my workers to track their time. They just log in and clock in and out. I set up their timesheet and It gives me reports, every day, every week or whenever I need them.

Cons

I think the interface could use a refresh to make it easier and more smooth. Since I log in both as an everyday user and an administrator, I see both sides. My biggest problem with the free version is that you have to edit code to get a lot of things set up the way you want which is not ideal for someone like me.

What's great is the flexibility, I can go in and tweak the payroll for any special cases or one-off situations.

It takes some time to learn and the design is old.

we have used it for many years and they have always helped us. The job tracking tool lets us see costs in detail so now we can charge by the piece. The payroll service is great. Their support is amazing, fast, kind and they really know their stuff. If we ask for something, they try to add it or change things for us. The price is fair too.

Cons

There's no 'undo' button like in Excel if I make a mistake. I'd also like a couple of changes to invoices. When It's tech team fixes something for me, I wish their name showed up in the log instead of mine so it's less confusing later.

What I really like is how simple and easy it is to use. The best part is that I never feel lost. Any time I have a question, no matter how small, I can reach out to their customer support and they always get me the right answer without any issue.

Cons

there are a lot of parts in it that we don't use and we have not seen any instructions for them.

“Best value in a feature-packed system

Pros

I checked 17 time-tracking programs and it was the best one, well-made and full of features. I like that I can run it myself so I don't worry about the company disappearing. And the free version had everything we needed.

I wish it used MySQL instead of Postgres since we already use MySQL for a lot of our other apps and know how to back it up. But after we learned Postgres, it was not a big problem.

I like this software because it handles payroll differently. It makes it easier by tracking everyone's time for you.

I have not run into any bugs or problems while using this software.

I have used it for a few years. I've also tried some competitors, even well-known ones but nothing is as good. Overall...it's the best.

I can't really think of anything. Maybe that it can seem complex but that's not really It's fault, it's just the nature of this kind of software. It has tons of features for complex jobs but once you set it up for your needs.. it's the best.

It is simple and easy to use. I also like that they are always updating things and adding improvements which means it just keeps getting better the longer I use it.

It was hard to get it set up but their customer support is amazing at helping you get it just right for your needs. Once it's set up, it works great.

We loved how we could run reports. It made life so much easier by sending reports to our clients automatically on certain days and times. Scheduling was easy, too.

the mobile app did not make much sense and felt really old. It didn't do much.

It works well for me because it has all the features I need, the layout is simple and not confusing and it creates good reports that help me understand what's going on in my business.

there's no option for static rounding. The rounding options don't work right for specific start and stop windows, it rounds punches even if the employee is late or outside the window. Also there's no way to make it work with ZKteco devices.

“easy to learn with amazing help desk

It is very easy to learn. Most things only take a few clicks. For harder payroll questions, the help desk is amazing. They even did special things for our business and made it look easy.

At first I really struggled with the ROEs but after It made some changes, they are really easy now.

Its really good. It makes tracking my employees' time simple.

there are a few things it can't do. I'd like better messaging features like automatic messages when someone clocks in or out.

It is the best payroll software I have found. You can track and check employee attendance. And since it's online, you can use it from anywhere.

I use it every day to track my work hours. I'm an independent contractor so it helps me remember exactly when I worked. It tracks down to the minute for each day, week and pay period. It's reliable and I can log in from anywhere.

there are SO MANY features that it almost scared me away from even trying it. And even now, the idea of trying features I have not used yet feels a little intimidating. It's also frustrating when there are unnecessary pop-ups that could have been avoided in the design or when it's hard to find a feature depending on where you are on the website.

You can use it on your phone. that's very handy for me because I travel a lot and don't always have a computer to clock in.

Cons

I have not been using this long enough to run into any problems yet. Everything seems pretty simple to figure out so far.
