“Garbage organization”
Pros
NONE
Cons
Garbage organization. Just horrendous. They know it and they don't care.. Completely incompetent. screw up after screw up. Messed up payroll so many times. PLEASE use anyone else. this place is a disaster. In addition to their services being terrible, the only thing worse is their support. Don't do what they say, never pleasant. They make going to the DMV look like a trip to Disney.

“Premium, top-tier service”
Pros
It provides a white glove level of service focused on smaller and medium-sized organizations that lack dedicated internal HR resources.
Cons
We faced an issue with benefits management that led us to end our relationship with TriNet.

“Caution for small businesses”
Pros
TriNet should be an excellent platform for streamlining payroll and healthcare. Unfortunately, their service constantly lets them down.
Cons
They completely failed to deliver R&D tax credits over a 4 year period. If you're a small business, don't allow TriNet to claim your R&D tax credits, as we've been trying to recover ours for over three years. TriNet provides no assistance or service in filing for these refunds and then blames you, the small business customer, for missing details. They withhold your refunds until all their customers' returns are approved by the IRS, which penalizes you for being a TriNet subscriber. TriNet justifies its service failures as policy and consistently fails in onboarding and support. They are extremely damaging to small businesses, as they will terminate your contract for minor infractions with no notice or chance to remedy. When they terminate your contract, they withhold your employees' payroll, despite having no credit risk.

“A Revolutionary and Resourceful Human Resources Platform.”
Pros
This tool makes it easy to generate timely and accurate payroll for employees. It simplifies the administration and management of employee benefits through TriNet Zenefits. Moreover, it proves to be a reliable tool during the employee onboarding process. Tracking, monitoring, and managing employee work performance is also made simple with TriNet Zenefits.
Cons
TriNet Zenefits has streamlined and simplified our human resources tasks, so I have no complaints whatsoever.

“Over 10% annual price hikes. Hidden fees”
Pros
The product is a commodity, so I don't believe they can do anything better than others.
Cons
Hidden charges and unreasonable annual increases. These are a few things that I did not like.

“Solid, but with some drawbacks”
Pros
I appreciate their support the most. They're always very helpful, even though the chat box kicks me out if I don't respond in 30 seconds and the platform is simple to navigate. They've helped with any issues that came up quite promptly.
Cons
We have had several issues with TriNet, mostly related to employees going on leaves of absence. It's pretty hit or miss.

“SCAM”
Pros
Over five years ago, TriNet saved me money on health insurance and time on payroll. Now it provides poor service at ridiculously high prices.
Cons
TriNet is a scam. They have very nontransparent pricing. Despite all their reports, it's almost impossible to understand what you're paying. It turns out they are ripping off their customers. My monthly service fee has more than doubled in 3 years from $500 to $1100 per month. My worker's compensation has increased to $1400 per month per employee, while the maximum payout is $1099 per week. Most companies have a maximum salary when calculating workers' compensation. My medical premiums have increased from $48,000 per year per employee to $150,000 per year per employee, which I believe is a direct violation of the Affordable Care Act. TriNet has many reports and alerts, but these hidden prices cannot be found. Avoid them at all costs, because their service is horrible in addition to the scam pricing.

“Waste of money”
Pros
Insurance pricing is good, but that's the only positive thing I can say.
Cons
Insurance plans aren't good, time tracking is separate from the system and doesn't integrate well, and PTO tracking is very confusing. Customer service is awful. I spent 1.5 weeks trying to get our PTO corrected, and they don't know the laws in my state. I pay $116 per person per month and have to keep them in check because they don't ensure compliance. Payroll is harder than it should be. There was a glitch in their system and one of my employees was paid $0 for 80 hours. I notified them of the issue, and they promised to correct it and pay the employee on time but that didn't happen. I had to talk to 7 different people to get it fixed. Too many issues!

“Excellent benefits selection for small businesses”
Pros
Selection offers excellent benefits for small companies both in terms of variety and pricing. Our rate increase over the past two years has been about 5% annually.
Cons
The platform is limiting, and nothing can be done retroactively. More importantly, customer support is very difficult to navigate. It can take up to 3 days to get a response and the quality of support is frankly poor. I assume this is due to staffing shortages.

“Absolutely worth the cost!”
Pros
I like that it's a one stop shop for all HR services, including ATS, payroll, benefits enrollment, performance management and employee onboarding.
Cons
At times, customer support wasn't the quickest or most detailed in their responses, but other than that, I've enjoyed my TriNet experience.

“Not bad”
Pros
It was easy for me to edit reports to get the data I needed. I can run reports for each employee to review overall benefits in a PDF that includes graphs and monetary information, it's a great visual tool!
Cons
We had to outsource our time and labor management. It was a hassle.

“Very user-friendly and easy to use”
Pros
TriNet is incredibly helpful for viewing and downloading my bi weekly paychecks, accessing my retirement plan portal, submitting expense reports, viewing my health benefits and tracking time off, all in one place. I especially appreciate the "Estimate Balance" feature on the Time Off page, which shows the exact date when I will hit my earned PTO cap. This feature has helped me always take time off before reaching the cap and avoid losing earned PTO. The TriNet mobile app offers access to most, if not all, of the same features as the web browser version so I can check work related details on the go.
Cons
Honestly there's nothing I dislike about TriNet. Before switching to them, our company had no cohesive, one-stop-shop for all the services TriNet provides, so it solved all our problems with one software.

Pros
Its UI is brilliant and all the tabs related to payments, benefits, etc., are well-organized.
Cons
There isn't much to dislike. It has all the features needed for an average employee. It's not an essential software for performing day-to-day job duties but it's necessary for HR tasks and the HR teams love it.

“Customer support needs to do better”
Pros
TriNet has the best user-facing website. It's so easy to navigate, fun, bright, and easy. They write their explanations in simple terms, are thorough and break things down for those who don't understand what they're reading or looking at.
Cons
They refused to confirm my employment by phone because it was against their policy. It delayed my mortgage. They need to change their policy because it was really frustrating. They send an automatic PDF confirmation of employment but anyone can forge a PDF, so most banks don't accept it. It was incredibly frustrating not getting someone on the phone, and the delay ended up costing me money.
