“missing basic payroll options
Pros
It is budget friendly and there are a handful of features our organization does appreciate.
Cons
However it lacks several basic functions we expected. For our salaried employees we should be able to copy the previous week's entries but that simple option isn't available. There should also be a way to automatically add lunch breaks for salaried staff and it doesn't offer that either. Overall I prefer DayForce.

“frustrating updates and payroll issues
Pros
Honestly I'm not happy with it and the customer support hasn't been very good either. The people answering the phone tend to argue about how employees should be paid instead of actually helping.
Cons
Since the latest update it has become harder to use. On top of that it tracks time to the hundredth of an hour while our payroll system uses tenths of an hour. When I switch it to tenths, it rounds the time backward which ends up showing employees getting paid before they even enter the building. Because of that I have to spend time every single week manually adjusting the hours just to make the system workable.

“fast onboarding and quick time tracking
Pros
Getting new hires set up is pretty easy and they can start clocking in on their timecards right away. I'm also able to go through everything by pay period without any trouble. Other than that the system runs at a good pace so there really haven't been any significant problems.
Cons
Something that's inconvenient is downloading a single employee's timecard because it comes through as an HTML file. I'd much rather have the option to download it directly as a PDF but since that's not available I have to hit Print every time and manually save it as a PDF instead.

“reliable platform that saves time
Pros
Has been a dependable and user friendly time tracking tool for our team. It handles employee timekeeping accurately without adding extra complexity and the system feels accessible and secure. It has also cut down a lot of the administrative work which has been a big help.
Cons
There are a few limitations to keep in mind. Reporting and notification options could be more customizable, payroll processing is not built in and some of the more advanced features are only available on the higher tier plans.

“clear layout and user friendly
Pros
Right away the app feels very tech friendly and simple to figure out. Everything is organized clearly which makes it much easier for staff to understand and use without confusion.
Cons
One thing I'd still like is a way to track my payroll totals if that feature is already available. It's possible I just overlooked where to find it. I'd also like the schedule to be accessible within the app.

“dependable fingerprint clocking
Pros
When we needed fingerprint based time clocks this worked really well for us. Having the backup option of a PIN was also very helpful especially in cases where someone's fingerprint wouldn't scan properly.
Cons
Because we operate around the clock, overnight shifts created a problem. If someone worked from 6 PM to 6 AM, the system didn't split the hours at midnight into the next day. Instead it placed the full 12 hours on the day the employee clocked in rather than showing 6 hours on one day and 6 on the next. That became an issue since our payroll week resets at midnight every Saturday.

“simple tracking
Pros
Keeping track of hours and holidays is easy and the features are simple to work with. Customer support through chat has also been convenient and quick. The pricing works well for businesses with seasonal fluctuations and I appreciate not having to pay for or deal with features that don't really apply to my setup.
Cons
One thing that doesn't make much sense is that admins have to clock in too instead of having their hours tracked the same way as employees. I also wish there were a way to disable two factor authentication since I switch between a lot of devices and it becomes a trouble.

“convenient software
Pros
Having time entries and timecard history in one place is really convenient. It also helps that adjustments can be made when needed and adding notes is simple when something needs an explanation.
Cons
Every now and then, the machine won't read fingerprints and that can be frustrating because employees get upset when it happens.

“affordable but outdated portal
Pros
The pricing is reasonable and it covers the basic functions we need without adding much beyond that.
Cons
Using it can be frustrating because the login flow is inconsistent. Some screens ask for a user ID while others ask for an email which makes signing in more confusing than it should be. We also manage multiple accounts and switching between them requires doing a search or using "find my account" first which feels unnecessarily awkward and very outdated. Finding older records is another trouble since historical data has to be reloaded page by page after a certain point. The layout, labels and overall structure are not very accessible or user friendly and even though we only use a limited set of features, it still feels difficult to work with. We have around 260 employees and about 2% of daily clock ins fail for no clear reason. After nearly ten years of using the system there has been very little noticeable improvement. The clocking devices work with facial recognition but they still misidentify employees from time to time.

“helpful for tracking time
Pros
It does a useful job of helping us keep track of employee hours.
Cons
There were times when the system didn't capture employees time correctly in real time. That led to frustration for staff and forced the timekeepers to go into the portal and manually correct the records.

“remote time tracking
Pros
Working remotely, it keeps track of my clock in and clock out times really well including lunch and any other breaks I take during the day.
Cons
One thing that bothered me was that if I worked more than 9 or 10 hours it would automatically throw an error. It may have been due to a time limit set by my company.

“Good for attendance tracking
Pros
It has been really helpful for keeping track of attendance and handling payroll for us each week.

I'm still getting familiar with it so this may be user error but I do wish it were easier to look up historical gross pay by week.

“too many hands to fix errors
Pros
Nothing about it has worked well for me. When someone logs time incorrectly or a holiday isn't configured properly, fixing the problem ends up involving far too many people.
Cons
Making corrections is overly complicated and a single issue takes too many people to resolve.
