“powerful candidate filters”
Pros
The candidate filters work really well for finding a wide range of talent..they're precise enough to narrow things down but flexible enough not to exclude great fits. I've also found the Communities feature to be excellent for staying connected with candidates over time. It helps build relationships, keep conversations organized and nurture talent pools without losing touch or starting from scratch every time a role opens up.
Cons
Nothing comes to mind. We've been very happy withit.

“diverse pipeline and campus engagement”
Pros
Untapped has opened up access to a more diverse talent pipeline than we'd typically be able to reach. Plus we can build groups to stay connected with incoming cohorts of employees throughout their college years.
Cons
Asitcontinues to expand, I'd love to see more support for experienced candidates so we can rely onitacross our full recruiting process. The sourcing and search results could also use some improvement.

“supportive team but difficult navigation”
Pros
One thing that has been consistently positive is the customer support. Our CM is always available whenever questions come up and I really like that the roadmap is being shaped around user feedback.
Cons
That said the Greenhouse integration still needs work. Students cannot answer our application questions within it which led to many incomplete applications on our end. The site also isn't very easy to navigate. More than once, I had to contact our CM for fairly basic tasks like pulling event data or applying filters in the platform.

“fantastic boost for campus recruiting”
Pros
It has been proven to be a very creative platform for helping us improve our recruiting of early diverse talent. Compared to other tools, it takes a more proactive approach and offers easy ways to find candidates, create events and campaigns and post jobs. Erin Kumar has also been outstanding in supporting our team. She is always available, very helpful and has gone above and beyond to make sure we fully understand the platform and use it effectively for our hiring goals. She has genuinely played a big part in transforming our university recruiting strategy. 5 stars!
Cons
At this point, I honestly haven't run into any drawbacks.

“strong technical hiring pipeline”
Pros
Jumpstart gave us access to a strong pool of technical talent and we were able to identify great candidates for those roles pretty quickly.
Cons
Collaboration with our internal admins felt a bit limited because some parts ofthe toolweren't very user-friendly.Itwas difficult to stay on top of what had already been completed versus what was still pending and I feel like having a task assignment feature would really help.

“Provide diverse candidate pool”
Pros
One thing I really enjoy is being able to browse a wide range of candidates. I also like that candidates can decide how they want to complete their profiles which gives a better sense of who they are.
Cons
I do wishitwere used by more students beyond just those in tech.Itwould also help if students updated their information more consistently.

Pros
What I like about it is being able to find candidates from all over the country, with a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels.

“simple profile filtering by multiple criteria”
Pros
Filtering candidate profiles is really easy and I can narrow people down by graduation year, skills, major and demographic information without much hassle.
Cons
One frustrating part is that candidates don't have to complete their full profiles. So quite a few are missing resumes or any contact details including LinkedIn which makes them hard to find elsewhere. Many of the people on the platform are still in college or have set up their profiles as students. And after graduating, most never come back to update anything. So finding candidates who are more than a year out of school can be pretty challenging.

“Powerful sourcing filters”
Pros
The sourcing tools are very useful and being able to filter candidates using many different criteria helps us find exactly the kind of people we are looking for.
Cons
I feel like the resume sorting and ranking algorithm could be better as for now it doesn't always seem as accurate or as aligned with what we want asitshould.

“smooth virtual events and outreach”
Pros
It has a very polished interface and the virtual events side of the platform makes it easy to create events, host them and follow up with candidates afterward. The diversity sourcing and outreach features have also worked very well for us.
Cons
What I'd really like is a way to filter students by visa status. My company can only accept international students at U.S. universities so having that filter would make it much easier to find the right candidates instead of having to guess.

“connects with motivated student talent pool”
Pros
Untapped has been a really helpful platform for connecting with motivated, responsive college students who are actively searching for internships.
Cons
There still are not as many college graduates onitlooking for full time roles after graduation but I expect that to improve as more users join while they're still in college.

“Great campus recruiting platform”
Pros
Managing inbound applications through it has been a huge win. Plus being able to review candidates using a wide range of filters instead of just sorting everything chronologically has completely changed the way campus recruiting works for us. The sourcing tools are also very impressive and compared with other platforms in the campus space like Handshake and Piazza, it clearly comes out ahead. Plus the amount of filtering available along with the ATS integration makes a real difference. There are still a few minor issues here and there but overall the UI/UX is very good.
Cons
There is still room for improvement in event management especially for virtual events that happen outside the platform. And I have not used it for career fairs or other in-person events yet but I am looking forward to trying those features once travel picks back up. Though the metrics and analytics dashboards are a great start but I feel like they could go further by offering more useful real-time insights instead of mostly historical or past-focused reports. From what I understand, the team is already working on this. Over time I'd also love to see the platform reach more students. Focusing on tech hiring first made a lot of sense but it could be valuable across many industries. Right now, adoption among non-technical candidates still isn't where I'd want it to be.

“User friendly filters overall”
Pros
Overall it is a user frienldy tool. As the filtering options make candidate sourcing incredibly simple and setting up events is not a problem too. Plus it only takes a few steps and an event can be ready within minutes.
Cons
We've run into a few API glitches with our ATS althoughitseems like those issues are already being addressed.

“best filters for sourcing”
Pros
Being able to narrow candidates down by graduation year, skills, gender and ethnicity is really helpful when sourcing talent.
Cons
One frustration is that you can remove or pass on a candidate while you're still in an active search. Also, even though the platform presents itself as focused on URM talent, it's open to all ethnicities so sourcing isn't always as precise as expected. Customer support can also take more than a day to respond. Another gap is reporting on messaging templates. I can send a specific template but there's no clear way to tell whether that one or template 2 is getting better response rates. So I feel like it would be much more useful to see which template performs best when reaching out to candidates.

“Most user friendly campus recruiting tool”
Pros
After 7 years in campus recruiting, this is easily the most user-friendly platform I have used for this kind of work. It also really helps with attracting top talent, getting your brand in front of students and making the whole recruiting process more efficient. It even lets us be much more strategic about which students we move forward and how we find relevant talent.
Cons
There have been a few bugs with the Workday integration butit's a newer ATS connection they only recently launched soitmakes sense that there are still some issues being ironed out.

“amazing candidate filtering tools”
Pros
Handling thousands of SWE applicants is tough. And here Jumpstart has been very helpful for narrowing down candidates so we can find the students who best match what we are looking for. Just as importantly, it helps us keep our pipelines well represented throughout the process.
Cons
One update that would make the workflow even more efficient would be showing the resume directly on the student page while reviewing buckets, instead of having to click the PDF and openitin a separate browser tab.Itwould be even better to offer two viewing options. Such as a profile view with student interest, gender, race, interests, club tags, etc and a resume view.

“Provide easy access to student pool”
Pros
Using it has been easy and it gives access to thousands of students from many different backgrounds. I have hosted several events through the platform and each one was simple to set up and run.
Cons
I'd still like to see better access to students from smaller schools. When I was trying to connect with students from Montana, there were only six in the whole database. The candidate pool feels heavily concentrated around top 25 schools.
