“clear workforce data breakdown

Pros

It does a nice job of turning our workforce data into smaller and clearer pieces which makes it easy for people across the business to understand. That also helps when presenting insights to senior leadership since the data is broken down in a way that's much simpler to explain clearly and effectively.

Cons

The way it tracks time to hire from our applicant tracking system could be improved. Right now it starts once someone moves into the hiring phase after the background check is finished. It would be more useful if that tracking began as soon as the candidate signs the offer letter since the role is basically filled at that stage. That change would make the process more efficient.

“Flexible data analysis

Pros

Having all our People data in one centralized place makes this tool really valuable. It's fast to build many different kinds of analyses and the wide range of filtering and grouping options helps you look at data more holistically. Being able to connect different data sets and analyze them together gives a much clearer understanding of the business overall.

Cons

One area where it really falls short is customer support. Once we're on the platform, getting timely and reliable help can be frustrating. The product can get pretty technical especially when dealing with Visier Extend, business rules or trying to understand how the data works behind the scenes in Studio. The current support approach is not strong enough. Being sent knowledge based articles instead of receiving real guidance isn't sufficient and there's no direct support line available. Everything has to go through a ticket and the response can take a long time, sometimes coming back incomplete or even incorrect. Their support definitely needs to be improved.

Pros

Pulling together charts and data from multiple sources is one of the best features of this software for us. In analytics a lot of the hard work usually comes from collecting the right data and cleaning it before you can even start and it really helps reduce that burden. It does a very good job of making sure the data is available and ready to use so there is less time spent worrying about preparation. Integrating different data sources into one place is also simple and being able to use them in the same analysis makes data-driven decisions much faster and more accessible.

Cons

Customization can be a bit limiting for us when it comes to graphs and layouts especially coming from a Tableau or PowerBI environment where there is more flexibility. Some advanced analytics are also missing, such as chi-square analysis and similar methods. On top of that, having to create projects in Studio just to make certain system changes can feel difficult at times.

One of the biggest advantages is being able to use the tool much like I use AI instead of having to build complicated, bulky dashboards for everything.

Cons

The only drawback I've noticed is tied more to our new data lake setup than the tool itself. Making large-scale changes takes a lot of time and resources but that still feels like a reasonable tradeoff for the automation.

Presenting information is very simple and it allows me to recalculate the data with flexibility which is a big plus.

Few of our users have mentioned that the filtering process can be a bit confusing at times.

It does a really nice job of turning our data into something we can actually understand and present. The visualizations make a big difference and seeing the information laid out clearly helps communicate the story behind the numbers much better.

A limitation for us is that some of the more attractive features depend on our organization already having data structured in a specific way. If that format doesn't exist in your systems, things like department hierarchies or career paths may not be usable. It also feels like their model is shifting and bringing in new data isn't as simple as it used to be. Instead of simply working with their team to sort it out like before, it now seems like the options are buying another module, paying for project-based work, or handling the setup on your own.

The feature for creating PPT files is really useful for me.

Cons

The system still doesn't include all the data I need.

Pros

It delivers a lot of value especially with the steady rollout of new features and the strong community around it including Visier events which have been particularly useful.

Cons

Only one issue for us is having to pay extra for services on top of the main subscription cost.

Pros

This tool removes a lot of the complexity for our team from building dashboards for people analytics by refining the data model and offering a user-friendly interface. That makes PA data much more accessible and simpler to work with than it used to be.

Cons

A tradeoff is that it doesn't offer the same level of flexibility you'd get with tools like Power BI or Tableau when it comes to adjusting the data model yourself. In most situations we need the Visier team to step in and make those changes.

“Top-notch insights across platforms

Pros

Reduces much of the complexity involved in building people analytics dashboards by refining the data model and providing a user-friendly interface. As a result people analytics data has become far more accessible and easier for us to work with than before.

Cons

Major concern on our side is the cost which feels pretty prohibitive.

It's helpful for us that the software can pull together data from multiple sources into one place.

We still need to create new features or objects just to access that data, and the cost of extending the system can be high

The visual reports, dashboards and charts are excellent and the knowledge and support our consultants bring have been outstanding.

There really isn't anything I dislike about it. Everything has been excellent.
