“excellent for docketing reminders

This is such an excellent tool for keeping up with docketing reminders especially for IP and trademark assignments. It just works.. reliable, consistent and never lets an important deadline slip through.

No complaints here at all. It's so aligned and efficient! Makes my job way easier.

“ease of use is unmatched

Pros

We migrated from a competitor's program and honestly, we just wish we had done it way earlier. The ease of use is unmatched. It takes care of everything and gives us all the reminders and updates we need to stay on top of our clients' filings. Customer service is fantastic, too. I cannot recommend it enough.

Cons

I'll be real...the cost is a bit of an issue for my small firm. But we tried a cheaper option first and honestly, switching to this is totally worth the money.

“easy and interactive with USPTO access

Pros

It's all about the ease of use and how interactive the whole platform is. Plus I really appreciate the email updates I get and how quickly I can search and access the USPTO through it.

Cons

Oh man I would LOVE it if the software could just automatically email our pre-written scripts to clients whenever the USPTO does something without me having to log in and click the button myself. That would be a dream.

“easy to use with terrific support

Pros

I can't say enough about how easy the product is to use and the customer service from the team is just terrific. Any time I've had a question I get same-day help. Even the company Founder has personally gone above and beyond to help us integrate it with our other software. It's clear they are focused on helping IP lawyers not just align work but actually add profit to our bottom line. The reporting is super helpful for my team, too.

Cons

We are basically really happy with it but if I could wish for one new feature it would be a direct link. Like when I get a notification about something filed at the PTO or TTAB, I'd love to just click and go straight to that specific document.

Love that everything is just automated. I am also really happy with the intake process, it lets me get all the info I need from a client in one go so I am not constantly following up with a million questions.

I have only been using it for about two months but I honestly have absolutely no complaints.

We use it. I specifically to keep track of all our IP and trademark deadlines. It's allowed us to stay on top of everything so easily and honestly, the notifications are the best parttttt.

What really sold me on it was that it's super easy to use since it's cloud-based and honestly it was way less expensive than the other options we looked at. That budget-friendly price tag made it a no-brainer to get approved.

There is not much to complain about. This thing is way better than what we were using before and it costs less. I mean sure if they could lower the price even more that'd be great but I totally get that things are tough right now.

I've had Alt Legal as a core part of my trademark practice for over four years now. I have watched it grow from its first version to what it offers today and throughout it all, the combination of ease of use and excellent customer service has stayed consistent. It's honestly one of the best legal tech firms I have ever used.

There's really not much bad I can say. I really like what they have built and they seem to be really smart about choosing which new features to add. Plus anytime I've had a tiny issue, they jump on it and fix it super fast.

“packages and updates data smoothly

Pros

The way this software packages all the data and information and then smoothly updates us without any extra work is just amazing. It saves me so much time and effort.

Cons

I am really looking forward to them integrating more with patent info. Right now we have to enter that stuff ourselves which is a bit of a drag. But honestly it could be way worse and they are constantly making the platform better.

I love how easy and interactive this is to use. It's super convenient and basically my safety net for keeping track of all my deadlines so I never miss a filing.

Seriously I can't think of anything. Every time I have ever thought "Hey it'd be cool if it did this" they end up adding it. And the customer service? Amazing.

Pros

Having worked in both big and small firms over the last decade I can confidently say this is the most interactive IP software I have ever used. The team is always super responsive to any questions and the reporting functions are exceptional, they make sharing portfolio status reports with clients look easy.

Cons

I'd really love to see some links to foreign trademark office websites and documents built right in. But the founder is super hands-on and actually listens to us clients and he's hinted that this might be coming soon. So I am staying tuned!

“Replaces a whole docketing department

Pros

What I like most is that this software basically replaces a whole docketing department for trademark management. It automates everything, pulls live data straight from the USPTO with no extra fees and sends me reminders right when I need them. The team has built an incredibly valuable product that's perfect for my solo practice. The user interface is super smooth and easy to use. Beyond docketing, it also automates my template letters and USPTO filings. Honestly I would not be able to practice the way I do without it. Bravo!

Cons

It's pretty close to perfect for about 98% of what I do. I do have to manually enter litigation and foreign deadlines to some degree but the smart updating is great, when those dates change, it updates everywhere. Automating those would be super tough but it'd be nice.

“wish i'd switched sooner

I switched to it from another online IP management program and I wish I'd done it sooner. It is so much more automated, smooth and user-friendly. The customer support is second to none and those weekly updates on IP court cases are a really nice bonus I did not expect.

My firm focuses only on trademark work so it is not just a nice-to-have it's a critical tool that helps me keep my clients happy and well taken care of. I genuinely think every trademark lawyer out there should be using it.

it's a great piece of software...especially if you are an IP attorney. Handling docketing and management is veryyy easy and I love that it automatically tracks statuses and deadlines for both me and my paralegals.

I have been using it for a while now and I honestly have not found one negative thing to say. It's so helpful ! Overall it's just really easy to manage especially if you are new to this kind of software.

Honestly it's just user-friendly, efficient and cost-effective. But the real kicker for me is the real-time tracking and it makes it so much easier to keep my clients in the loop.

Okay so my only tiny issue is that I wish I could delete old, inactive clients myself or fix a typo in an email address without having to ping support for help every time.

My favorite thing? The automatic import of new matters. I don't have to lift a finger to input any data which is a huge time-saver.

Honestly? Nothing. It's great. I especially love the email notifications, they show up right when I need them and actually tell me what I need to know without a bunch of fluff.

It automates so many of my tasks that the time savings have become huge. I can get filings done in less time and all my deadlines are automatically tracked without me having to think about it.

Cons

I've got none! Before I started using this I had my own clunky spreadsheet to track all my filing deadlines. Just the time I have saved alone is worth the monthly fee, no question.
