The best customer service experience

Pros

This software never gets stale. They are always improving and adding new features that help streamline your e-billing platform. It's easy to use and if you need assistance, their team is always there for you. From the initial implementation to any transitions from another platform, they are with you every step of the way. Customer support is just a click away and they are very responsive. This is software I use daily and it's simple to follow.

Cons

One limitation is the inability to use AI for languages other than English. It would be beneficial if support for additional languages were included.

Achieving success through teamwork and strong reporting capabilities

Pros

Brightflag has become an essential part of our daily operations within the legal function. We now have complete control over all legal spend and the insights from the monitoring reports have been incredibly valuable. We recently reviewed our legal network of firms and used three years of Brightflag data to shape our Request For Information process. The insights we gained gave us leverage to get the best return from our law firms. This has allowed us to streamline and create a highly competitive panel of firms to choose from. The collaboration between our two companies has also been key to our success. Our discussions are always open and we resolve any issues quickly. This is an invaluable platform for our business and we rely on it daily to manage both our spending and vendor behavior.

Cons

Recent improvements made to the system over the past two years have resolved any minor issues. Navigation is now incredibly easy.

I'd strongly recommend it

Pros

Customer service is exceptional. The support team and customer service manager are always quick to reply and follow up. Their customer success team helps not only during implementation but continues to work with our team to improve the system and internal processes. I also like how easy it is for law firms to submit invoices into the system. In comparison, our previous e-billing application had terrible customer service and as the administrator, I had to support all our law firms with submitting invoices.

Cons

The reporting functionality is too basic for me. I require more complex reports and the ability to filter them by user attributes. Due to our complex budget process, the system couldn't accommodate our needs and we had to implement workarounds.

We rely on Brightflag to track external billings for our in-house legal department

Pros

Brightflag does all the work for us now. We no longer have to manually track data in Excel. It also compares each invoice against the billing guidelines, which saves us a tremendous amount of time.

Cons

Feedback from external partners suggests that using the system can be difficult for those who have never worked with an e-billing platform. Complaints have been made about its lack of user-friendliness. I've tried connecting them with Brightflag, but it seems the company doesn't prioritize assisting external partners and unfortunately, I can't see what they experience.

Very easy to use with amazing customer service

Pros

It has an easy-to-use, intuitive interface that even users without training were able to adapt to from the previous system. The features are very helpful (like seeing accruals) and the field names on reports actually make sense. The customer support is excellent, helpful and responsive and a pleasure to deal with. The team was also fantastic during our transition, ensuring everything went smoothly with both the legal and finance teams. Their follow-up was exactly what we requested and needed.

Cons

Sometimes sorting or report fields are not easily visible online and require exporting to make them useful. It would be more efficient if additional fields had sorting options and reports could be used directly online.

Best decision ever, easy to use, clear and efficient

Pros

Brightflag is an extremely streamlined and easy platform that we use daily, both by my team and our suppliers. Their team is attentive, responsive and always ready to assist. They're also open to feedback. While transferring systems can be difficult, our implementation representative was very informative and supportive, making this the easiest system transfer I've experienced.

Cons

More filter and bulk revision features would be useful, like the ability to apply a Purchase Order ID to all matters under a specific law firm, rather than inputting it individually.

Exceptional customer support with a reliable SaaS solution

Pros

The platform is intuitive and scalable, with easy visibility into savings, excellent data reporting capabilities and potential. Every member of the Brightflag team I've met has been personable, helpful and genuinely kind. Our partner law firms also find it easy to get their questions and issues answered quickly and fully by Brightflag customer service. After just one year, it's hard to imagine doing this work without this tool in our organization.

Cons

Smaller law firm vendors who haven't used an e-billing platform before may face a learning curve. Although I find the user interface easy to follow, my whole team does not. More visual reporting and a budget planning module would be very helpful.

Pros

Interface is easy to use and clear and the support team is fantastic. There's also a great support page for both clients and vendors, with a wide range of features and AI capabilities.

Cons

A reliable tool for managing invoices

Pros

The ease of use and bill payment functionalities are fantastic. The process for registering suppliers is quick and simple.

Cons

I think of assigned roles are restrictive. The process for reviewing invoices with fixed prices could be improved, particularly when verifying if the originally agreed price matches the actual invoiced price.
