a complete disaster for data integrity

Pros

When I save proposals, I find it simple to transition to a more reliable vendor if needed and I don't run into unnecessary complications.

Cons

If you take data integrity seriously, we would strongly advise avoiding this company. Over the years we relied on their software and ran into multiple occasions where the proposal data was wrong. One alarming example happened when we sent a data processing agreement to every customer, the PDF download contained completely different numbered lists than what appeared in the signing UI (I have a screenshot). That discrepancy made us look extremely unprofessional and embarrassed our team. Support's response was useless, they told us they "could not change signed documents." When we pushed back and said the downloaded PDF must match what was actually signed, our concerns were effectively dismissed. Another time, following a system update, the currency on our documents was automatically flipped from euros to dollars which meant proposals showed about 15% less revenue. Luckily our customers were forgiving and signed corrected versions but it was an unnecessary headache. We also struggled with the Salesforce integration, PDFs failed to sync correctly and support again had no real fix, so we ended up manually downloading hundreds of files ourselves. When we chose to migrate away from the platform, we tried the 'bulk download' option to export all contracts. The tool reported the right number of files but every single PDF was actually the same document duplicated. We only discovered that problem when a client requested their contract during the transition. Support's answer was basically that "we shouldn't use that feature." After all of this, we switched to PandaDoc and it has been a massive relief, our proposals now look more professional, editing is far smoother, the pricing works better for us and onboarding wrapped up in a week. Looking back, we honestly wish we'd made the move much sooner.

Automated proposal precision

Pros

I'm genuinely impressed by how it automates the entire process of creating and sending sales proposals directly from our CRM. It removes the heavy document work from sales reps so I can focus more on closing deals. The conditional logic is especially valuable because it automatically inserts the right legal clauses or case studies based on industry and region. That automation cuts down mistakes, prevents copy-and-paste errors and ensures consistent branding, often reducing what used to take over thirty minutes to just a single click.

Cons

As an admin, I discovered that the initial setup requires a fairly deep dive. To get proposals looking absolutely pixel-perfect, I needed to become comfortable with the composer parameters and how they control layout and behavior. Although the documentation is thorough and helpful, there is a real learning curve when it comes to mastering the syntax for more advanced features and conditional behaviors, it took me some hands-on time to feel fully confident.

Flexible salesforce integration tool

Pros

Working with this tool has been very flexible for me. It integrates with Salesforce and Word, giving me strong control over dynamic documents with many variable fields. I also appreciate how it connects with Adobe Sign and Google Drive which makes daily tasks easier. Although there was a learning curve at first, it became highly adaptable over time and the onboarding team was very supportive during implementation.

Cons

Although the platform is powerful, there's a noticeable learning curve that I found a bit steep at first, so it can be somewhat tricky to use right away. I wish there were a simple click-and-start interface to get going faster. At the moment, I have to get deep into composing URLs with the variables embedded in them which feels clunky. It would be much nicer to have a step-by-step flow that shows the choices and then automatically builds the button or URL for those functions. Also, I'm frustrated that dynamic email content has to be determined and merged outside of te template itself, because that approach isn't very user-friendly.

Pros

I appreciate that the platform offers an API for bulk document creation. We've integrated it into our system to generate documents faster and the batch processing significantly improves throughput and overall system performance for our users.

Cons

Often we run into login problems with this tool. We've also dealt with several outages and on some occasions diagnosing and resolving those problems takes far too long which at times ends up disrupting our business operations.

Complex document automation mastery

Pros

In complex document-generation scenarios, I find this product extremely useful. It allows me to use SOQL queries to pull data from multiple objects and format it exactly how I need, even into tables. It supports various output types like PDF and includes automation features that align document creation, along with convenient support features such as automatic package upgrades.

Cons

the interface feels a bit dated and I wish the app had more contextual help text scattered throughout so I could get guidance where I need it.

Simple template automation

Pros

What stands out to me is how it removes the manual effort from document creation. Instead of copying data from Salesforce into Word, everything flows automatically into predefined templates. That consistency helps me produce polished, uniform proposals and customer documents while staying within our Salesforce environment. I've also found the support team responsive whenever assistance is needed.

Cons

Designing document layouts can be time-consuming, particularly when the documents have many sections or include conditional elements. I often have to test them a few times before the final version appears exactly as I want.

Accurate salesforce document generation

Pros

For our team, the product makes it easy to generate business documents directly from Salesforce. It pulls live data into templates so proposals, quotes and contracts stay accurate. When paired with Conga CPQ and CLM, documents are created automatically after approvals which saves me time and improves the quality of what we send to customers. Support has been responsive whenever we've reached out.

Cons

I find building and maintaining the more intricate templates takes a fair bit of work especially when documents include many data fields or complex formatting rules. New team members usually need training to get comfortable with the template design and data mapping.

easy implementation through this tool!!

Pros

I really appreciate how feasible the implementation process is. By creating templates and building the logic within Salesforce, I can quickly set up a ready-to-use environment for agreement management. Combining Salesforce and Word features gives me a practical and efficient way to generate agreements.

Cons

there are a few additional capabilities I'd like to see. For example, features to support negotiation workflows or to handle parallel reductions when multiple parties need to interact aren't available right now. It also lacks a true online, standalone option, we have to use it within Salesforce. I think adding those types of features down the line would make the product more flexible and would really benefit customers.

One-click workflow automation

Pros

one thing i like most is how this document-generation tool can automate the entire workflow with a single click. I also like the wide range of templates and document types available because they make drafting and managing contracts much faster and easier for me.

Cons

Salesforce document assembly simplified

Pros

it connects directly with Salesforce which simplifies the whole process of assembling documents. I can create highly customizable templates, the setup was easy for me and the automation handles most of the document creation work. Whenever I've had questions, the support team has been responsive and I also appreciate that the platform can generate documents in several different formats.

Cons

One thing I noticed is that while it does an excellent job generating documents, its reporting capabilities fall short compared to what some teams require. I've also run into problems when trying to produce very large batches of documents, the tool can struggle or slow down which has been a limitation for some of my high-volume needs.

aligned daily document creation

Pros

For my daily work, this tool really helps align document creation while keeping everything consistent. I can produce standardized proposals, contracts and reports directly from Salesforce without repeating the same tasks. Once the initial setup was done, it fit smoothly into our routine and allowed the team to generate documents quickly without worrying about manual formatting.

Cons

I've found the biggest point is the upfront setup and building of templates which can take a lot of time and often needs someone with technical know-how. Tweaking complicated templates isn't always easy and diagnosing problems can drag on longer than I expect. The interface can feel a bit old-fashioned in spots which makes getting new team members up to speed harder. That said, once everything is configured and stable, it reliably handles ongoing document generation.

Flexible api for polished workflows

Pros

One thing I value a lot is how flexible the APIs are. I use them to retrieve data from this platform and they allow me to apply conditional logic, maintain consistent branding and produce documents in formats like Word, PDF, Excel and PowerPoint. That flexibility makes our workflows much smoother.

Cons

That said, the main downside I find is the steep initial learning curve. When someone new, whether a user or a developer, starts working with it, getting familiar with all the features, settings and different API endpoints can take quite a bit of time and patience.

Live data to polished documents

Pros

What I really like is that the tool converts live sales records into polished documents, such as proposals, agreements, quotes, amendments and reports, without requiring manual copy-and-paste. Because everything pulls directly from Salesforce data, I know the documents always contain the latest approved information which helps me avoid pricing mistakes or missing details in customer-facing materials.

Cons

When a document won't generate or the data doesn't merge correctly, the error messages are often vague and unhelpful. I end up doing a lot of trial and error to figure out what went wrong instead of getting clear, actionable guidance. On top of that, getting the system up and running wasn't really simple. Day-to-day use is simple but certain configurations demand a deep understanding of the product and it took our team quite a while to learn and properly set those up from the start.

great automation tool with frequent support challenges

Pros

For contract generation, the automation and customization features are extremely helpful to me. We manage many templates and clauses that vary depending on the product, so having a system that can process all of that automatically saves me a lot of manual effort and keeps everything consistent.

Cons

Although the automation is useful, it seems to fail frequently with no obvious fix. Everything requires submitting a ticket and each ticket is handled individually which turns problem resolution into an extremely slow process. I know a fair amount about queries, the clause library, our templates, clause bundles and more, yet I still can't figure out why things break so often or where to even start fixing them. We won't change anything and then clauses will suddenly break or appear blank. There are parts of the system that have been broken for over two years. Right now I have more than 20 open tickets on different issues that nobody on my team knows how to resolve. We've accumulated so many workarounds for recurring problems that those stopgap procedures have become our normal workflow. There are so many broken or malfunctioning pieces that I don't see us ever catching up on the backlog especially since I keep finding and creating new tickets. Opening a single ticket takes significant time and effort, I have to provide all the details, screenshots, examples, opportunity links, attachments, etc. Then we do screen shares to make sure the support team understands our process, the steps we take and the exact issue. Often a single ticket requires multiple calls or back-and-forth emails and sometimes a separate ticket has to be opened with Corporate Systems that ties into our ticket. We then spend time testing any proposed fixes and only after that do we make the change or upload a new template to production. It's a drawn-out, grueling cycle that forces us to focus on one issue at a time when there are many important things that need attention. We all want the ability to resolve issues ourselves and to prevent them from happening in the first place but I'm not confident that will ever be possible. The whole configuration of this tool with our templates and clauses is just too complex, 1) my team can't realistically understand, investigate, or fix everything on our own and 2) things can become misaligned or break for no clear reason. Every problem seems to require deep investigation that we simply don't have the time for. My role has gradually shifted to managing these support tickets daily which pulls me away from the contract review work I should be spending my time on.

Composer speeds tender document creation

Pros

In our tender and offer workflow, we rely heavily on Composer for document generation. Since adopting it, I've noticed that document creation takes much less time and we find fewer errors. It integrates smoothly with our CPQ system, allowing me to pull data directly and generate documents with one click, while exporting them in formats like PDF, Excel, or Word.

Cons

I've logged numerous support tickets with Technical Support previously because generated documents were sometimes populated with incorrect data coming from CPQ. Even though these occurrences have become very uncommon, they still pop up occasionally and are quite aggravating. That said, we now understand the fault wasn't with Composer itself, the problem stemmed from inconsistent or incorrect data in the backend which helps explain the issue.

Pros

My main use for this tool is producing accurate, professional documents directly from Salesforce, including proposals, quotes, contracts and reports. It merges live Salesforce data into predefined templates which reduces manual work and keeps documents consistent. I also like that it speeds up approval workflows and allows me to create custom processes tailored to our requirements.

Cons

We find the tool undeniably useful but there are a few areas where it could be improved to enhance the overall experience. The initial setup and configuration, particularly when dealing with complicated templates or advanced data queries, can take a lot of time and usually demands technical know-how. Newer team members especially face a noticeable learning curve before they feel confident designing templates and diagnosing merge problems.

Pros

I see it as a powerful document-generation solution that automates the production of key business documents. The flexibility in designing templates and mapping data is especially impressive to me. Overall, it improves efficiency, keeps information accurate and consistently produces professional documents at scale within Salesforce.

Cons

simple template designer appreciated

Pros

The template designer is something I've grown to appreciate a lot. Its drag-and-drop approach makes building layouts simple and it even allows non-technical team members in our hospitality department to create polished guest proposals without needing constant help from IT.

Cons

While the template designer is great, we run into issues with the tool's multi-language handling for our international hospitality operations, it often needs manual fixes to render non-English characters properly in contracts. On top of that, getting everything set up was harder than expected especially moving templates from our old contracts into the new system. The template migration stalled at times because it depended on legacy systems which made the whole transition tricky for our team to manage.

Cons

Configuring the document layouts has been a bit time-consuming for me, particularly when the documents involve intricate formatting. I've noticed that minor tweaks often mean running several tests until the output appears correct. Also, people who are new to the system will probably need a fair amount of time to get comfortable with how templates are built and how data mapping functions.

CPQ integration simplifies workflows

Pros

We use this tool together with CPQ and it integrates easily with the other package. I work with Word, Excel and PowerPoint through the platform to meet our business needs easily. Contracts and proposals/quotes are produced exactly in the template formats we design, that saves us a lot of time since we reuse those templates frequently. For orders and quote generation, this tool fits well with CPQ and simplifies our workflows. Once everything is configured correctly, even a non-technical person can generate proposals from the templates. The product also has great customer support, when we need assistance they help with fixes.

Cons

One thing I've noticed is the template design process. Basic templates are easy to build but complex requirements, for example conditional logic or involvement of multiple objects, demand strong skills and experience with the tool. When a template needs to be enhanced, even a small change can take considerable time because multiple tables and conditions must be updated. Error messages tend to be generic which makes troubleshooting harder. Templates containing multiple line items often take a while to generate and we frequently still require support when diagnosing problems.

great Salesforce integration tool

Pros

I'm a big fan of this tool for its great Salesforce integration which lets me automatically generate personalized, data-packed documents like proposals, contracts and quotes from templates. It saves me a huge amount of time, cuts down on mistakes, keeps our branding consistent and speeds up sales work with capabilities such as batch document creation and eSignature hooks. I especially appreciate its clean, convenient interface, the way it merges complex datasets reliably and how smoothly it automates workflows.

Cons

this tool has a steep learning curve and a fiddly initial setup and it can be slow when working with very large documents. Game-changing end-to-end automation

Pros

For our organization, this tool has genuinely been a game changer because it cuts the time we spend building templates by roughly 50-60%, largely thanks to a very convenient, easy-to-use and feasible-to-implement user interface that required minimal onboarding. By automating the document generation process end-to-end, it consistently saves us about six to eight man-hours each business day which means we can redirect our manual efforts toward other strategic initiatives and higher-value work. I'm really grateful to it for creating such an effective tool.

Cons

However, recent updates rolled out by the team have caused a number of outages for us and I believe stronger QA before releasing changes would prevent many of these problems. These interruptions can be especially damaging when they happen during large, high-value deals, so improving testing and release controls would make a significant difference for our operations.

Effortless Salesforce record generation

Pros

What stands out to me is how easily this tool pulls records from both standard and custom objects in Salesforce which makes document generation feel effortless. My team also uses other Conga features like eSignature and batch classes and I've seen how this Batch depends on this connector to create documents automatically on a weekly or monthly schedule. After switching from LibreOffice Writer, I noticed a clear improvement in CRM integration and cleaner output. Getting started was simple for me since I just installed it from AppExchange and set the permissions.

Being able to generate contract documents with a single click using real-time details has saved me an incredible amount of time. Consistent and reliable document workflows

Pros

From my experience, document generation feels consistent and reliable with this tool. It integrates smoothly with Salesforce and allows our team to create proposals, contracts and invoices with very little manual effort. I can tailor templates to our workflows and whenever I need help, support responds quickly with practical guidance. The documentation made the initial setup process clear and manageable.

Cons

We do find that some of the more advanced template settings are fairly complicated and often demand technical expertise. Debugging template-related problems can be time-consuming, particularly for users who are new to the system. That said, once the templates are properly configured, the platform remains reliable and performs well.

easy template-based document creation

Pros

Creating a wide variety of document types has been easy for me using the built-in templates. I can quickly address specific business scenarios and adjust outputs to match what I need.

Cons

Setting up Composer initially felt a bit complex and time-consuming for me. However, once I got everything configured, the document generation process became very fast and efficient.

simple workflow and documentation

Pros

Once I became familiar with the workflow, the platform felt simple and convenient. Updating or assembling documents turned into a routine task and I especially value the documentation because it helps me publish documents to customers smoothly.

Cons

The toughest part for me has been achieving a deep understanding of how the tool works. There are so many interconnected pieces that building or debugging a solution means looking across templates, queries, supporting objects and various automations. Problems aren't always easy to spot and fixing them usually requires a wide view of the entire configuration rather than a quick one-off fix. For people new to it, I find it can be pretty intimidating and more complex than expected.

Powerful automation & salesforce integration

Pros

I appreciate the automation features, the strong Salesforce integration and the flexibility I get from customizable templates.

Cons

To be honest, I feel the UI could use a lot more polish, the interface definitely needs some work.

Dynamic document generation efficiency

Pros

Cutting out repetitive manual work has been a major benefit for me. I can generate documents dynamically for multiple records directly from Salesforce data which eliminates the need to build each file from scratch. Integrations with other tools have worked smoothly and I feel confident in its reliability as it keeps improving. Features like ColumnHide and TableHide help me work around Word limitations especially when pairing it with automation tools or Salesforce Flows. Connecting it to services like DocuSign was feasible and I can access multiple functions using Solution URL parameters. The setup was easy and the documentation plus support team give me peace of mind whenever issues come up.

Cons

One main area they should improve is performance with complex templates, when I build templates that include a lot of nested logic or deeply nested conditions, document generation can slow down significantly. In those situations the delay becomes noticeable and affects my workflow especially when multiple templates or records are being processed at once.

Ai-driven contract standardization

Pros

Using the new AI capabilities has helped me standardize workflows. I can send a prompt to Composer AI and have it draft, finalize and even send out a contract in one go, including client-specific details which saves me a lot of time.

Cons

Composer's document generation is slow when handling very large documents and I think it really needs to prioritize major performance improvements.

Reliable agreement creation and support

Pros

Creating agreements, statements and summaries is something I regularly rely on this tool for. It's simple to begin using, yet there's enough depth to handle complex needs. I really value the online resources and the active user group that offers webinars and a forum where customers share real-world tips and solutions. The initial configuration was quick and feasible for me.

Cons

A couple of things I'd like to see improved, first, numerous links in the online documentation still don't function correctly when clicked. I suspect this stems from Conga's website redesign they completed within the past year. Second, parts of this tool's interface (and the Batch interface) look unfinished and sometimes truncate text. I've gotten used to these quirks over time but they initially confused me and made the experience a bit jarring when I first started using the product.

customizable templates and integrations

Pros

Customization is one of the biggest advantages I see. I appreciate how it connects with Salesforce, e-signature tools and other third-party platforms which makes document generation and automation much more powerful in my workflow.

Cons

At this point, I haven't found anything I dislike about it.

simple implementation

Pros

Implementation felt simple from my perspective. I can easily build solutions, run queries to pull data and format everything into templates that fit our processes. Support has always been friendly and helpful and my colleagues enjoy using the product daily. The wide range of integrations also gives me flexibility to connect it with other applications we depend on.

Cons

Template creation was a little tricky for me at first. I get that when a product covers so many use cases it can feel complex initially. It would have helped if there had been some hands-on implementation training available for newcomers. A guided walkthrough or beginner-focused session would make the learning curve less steep and let new users get productive faster.

Fast complex document production

Pros

For me, complex documents are produced quickly. I can easily build dynamic templates using this feature which adds dynamic fields and conditional repeat tables to keep configuration feasible. I can also produce files in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and HTML email formats.

Cons

Integration has been delayed for me due to insufficient Composer API documentation and I find the available materials inadequate for proper guidance. On top of that, although the tool appears within the platform, I can't access it without paying additional fees which adds unexpected costs for us.

Ai-enhanced document and esignature creation

Pros

We've been using this tool for document generation and now it includes AI integrations so we can handle things like creating documents and eSignatures just by typing simple prompts. It also offers a built-in prompt library that makes it easy for me to show our users how to work with Composer AI in practice.

Cons

i haven't seen meaningful improvements to other Composer features such as the core Composer solution or query tools. It feels like it is focusing more heavily on AI integration with Composer rather than refining existing functionality that I still rely on.

User-friendly ui and flexibility

Pros

I'm really impressed with how user-friendly the UI is for building documents with this tool. What I appreciate most is the flexibility it gives through its many parameters. There are options to cover every scenario I run into, whether I'm generating backgrounds or choosing specific output formats. The documentation and customer support are both excellent, the docs are clear and feasible to follow, so when I'm integrating the tool I don't find any real hurdles.

Cons

At first, the template creation workflow felt somewhat unconventional to me and a bit complicated to navigate. It took extra effort on my part to fully understand and adapt to the structure.

Comprehensive workflow automation features

Pros

We've found this tool packed with features that let us automate our document creation workflow, offering plenty of built-in capabilities out of the box. It supports generating documents into several formats like PDF and DOC which comes in handy because it lets us produce multiple output types from a single template. The product also plugs into CPQ so we can build documents that reflect the most up-to-date pricing information.

Cons

There have been situations where certain formatting options simply weren't supported which I found frustrating. I've also experienced challenges with Support, as the level of deep Composer expertise didn't always meet my expectations making it harder for me to resolve issues quickly.

great document creation platform

Pros

I've found Composer to be a cut above other document-generation solutions thanks to how well it integrates and its great document-creation features. It lets me set up templates in many ways, produce documents flexibly and deliver them through eSignature partners like Conga Sign or Adobe Sign.

Cons

Composer's APIs haven't been very useful because of persistent performance problems and I've noticed that it doesn't expose APIs for some of Composer's features.
