I appreciate all the little features like texting, faxing, notating and automatic tasks. They make my work so much easier.

Cons

I can't copy tab information from related projects (like the insurance tab or case summary), which is a bit of a pain.

We switched to Filevine from another case management system and we love it. Our old system looked nice but wasn't useful beyond document generation. We tried a couple of other options before landing on Filevine and we've never looked back. There's so much to love about it: you can text clients and they can text you right into their case, you can filter the main page to see texts, tasks, etc and sharing PDFs and links is super easy. We haven't had any issues with cloud storage or security. The best part is the customization, you can make it look and act however you need it to. plus every case has its own distinct email, so you can easily forward everything straight to the file. I could go on and on but trust me, it is the way to go.

Cons

The only downside I've found is also a pro. it is customizable, which is great because you can set it up to fit your office. The downside is that it takes time to get everything set up.

I like this tool. I couldn't manage my legal docket without it. plus their customer support is awesome, quick responses and always knowledgeable.

I wish we could link related cases. For example, if three people are involved in the same accident, it would be nice to have them linked together.

Sometimes, information needs to be entered in multiple spots. also I've noticed you have to be really specific with case IDs and use the correct capitalization.

I honestly do not have enough time to list everything I love about FileVine. The learning curve was not about the software itself but about adapting our firms workflow. The software is overall is so user friendly and easy to learn, everything just makes sense. And if we ever need to tweak or add a process, it is very simple to do.

well I cannot think of any major downsides to this system. I am just thankful we have it. Every single day.

One thing I like is that you can just add an email address to import messages into a case. It is also great that you can simply drag and drop documents into a matter.

We cannot copy items between different matters and we are not able to delete a note if we accidentally put it in the wrong file.

Building reports is pretty challenging and it's kept me from using the software to its full potential.

In the legal field we use terms like matters or cases, so getting used to the project terminology has been difficult.

It is so easy to use and I love being able to text clients and get their replies, share documents and drag emails into a project using its specific address. Having full functionality from any internet connection is a major plus.

The document merge feature is not very user friendly and when it stops working, it can take a while to get fixed. I am also still waiting for a feature that lets me search for and save received emails directly to a project.

My favorite thing about it is how easy it is to use. Navigating client files is also pretty easy with it and I can customize the tabs to fit my personal preferences.
