“Unreliable and inaccurate
Pros
I have nothing positive at the moment. FindLaw has never found me a suitable attorney and its reporting is grossly inaccurate. I would not recommend FindLaw. I go straight to County, State and Federal records systems
Cons
My view is that most things are poor. This is a private, profiteering organization with little regard for accuracy or service. I'm better off completing my own research through court records.

“Horrible product
Pros
I can't find a single thing I like about FindLaw.
Cons
Honestly, I've had nothing but bad experiences. It's run by a lousy company with rude people, awful service, a poor product and shockingly high prices..

“A trusted company
Pros
I've come to view it as a trusted arm of Thomson Reuters/Westlaw, a company that's supported law firms for well over a hundred years stretching back to the late 1800s. Because it's such a recognizable name, many law practices feel comfortable relying on it and that reputation has been built up over a long time. In FindLaw's case specifically, our editorial and marketing teams include degreed attorneys who actually understand how law firms operate and how they should present themselves publicly and they also help by creating and supplying content for the websites.
Cons
Can't find anything that bothers me.

“It lives up to my expectations
Pros
When I first visited FindLaw to create a profile for my consulting business, I discovered they provided an email through justice.com and I've been using that address since 1999. Over the years I've dug deep into this site and it's consistently lived up to my expectations. Several people I know also rely on it for research and R&D.
Cons
It is simple and I find the site easy to move around but because there are so many different sections and areas of interest, I frequently get pulled into exploring everything and can lose track of time just reviewing the available options.

“Love the 'Learn about the law' feature
Pros
My favorite part is the Learn About the Law area. I use it often for quick, easy-to-understand summaries of legal topics when I need to explain concepts to clients or other non-lawyers. It's a great go-to reference for that purpose. I also find the cases and code section handy for my own work whether I'm doing legal research or searching for a particular statute, that part of the site is useful.
Cons
The code section isn't as comprehensive as I'd like it to be and it would be far more helpful if annotations or explanatory notes were included alongside the statutes.

“Lets potential clients email us
Pros
For our office, what I value most is being able to get emails from prospective clients. They fill in all their contact details and explain why they need legal help which lets us roughly assess whether the matter fits our practice and if it's a case we can take on.
Cons
The main problem is the sheer volume of inquiries that aren't relevant to our area of law. It becomes quite frustrating because we have to take time to read and evaluate every submitted legal issue and approximately 60% of them fall outside our practice. This is a recurring pain point that I think should be examined and fixed to improve referral accuracy.

“Helpful for employment and HR law questions
Pros
I've found it incredibly useful for employment and HR law questions. It also includes e-filing and e-signature tools which I've found especially handy for running a small office or nonprofit that can't afford a full legal department. It really helps me move through complicated legal issues when I don't have a deep legal background.
Cons
Honestly, the overall look doesn't do it for me. It's pretty basic but functional and it gets the job done most times. If they'd strip things down and go for a more minimalist approach, I think it would feel much more modern and inviting. In my view the style, colors and fonts are pretty dated.
