“Impressive setup
Pros
We're not using the Gather product yet, but I'm really impressed with the set-up process they have in place. It requires our involvement every step of the way, and I'm expecting a smooth transition when our system is ready to go live. The team has been super patient with us, accepting revisions and making adjustments as each piece is put together. I love that we get to �test� each feature and document, giving feedback and asking for tweaks as we go. The playbook is super helpful, with weekly check-ins showing where we are in the process and what's been completed vs. what's next. I'm really looking forward to our first team training for even more in-depth guidance.
Cons
umm themes for the website's memory pages seem a little cartoonish, and there aren't as many options as we're used to. The workflows are taking some time to get used to. It's quite different for us and feels a little awkward (we're not fully functional yet, so we haven't used it exactly as intended).

“All-in-one solution
Pros
Gather is everything we need. Before switching, I was paying five or six vendors separately for tasks that could all be handled within Gather. It's such a relief to have everything under one roof. I've been looking for this solution for years. Their graphics and interface are easy to use and look great.
Cons
The transition to new software is never fun, and it was a bit hard, but Gather was with us every step of the way and guided us through it.

Pros
It's super easy for the entire team to access and it really helps with communication since we can check off tasks.
Cons
There are some delays in email responses to questions. The phone team is great, but they often defer to your "team" through email or phone, and it can be hard to reach them.

“Accessible Case Info with Great Innovation
Pros
I love having all the case information on all my devices, wherever I am. The webpages look great, and case info auto-populates them. We've entered our pre-needs and are working on integrating with Homesteaders, which is a nice bonus. It's so great to see pre-need info from home, it saves me trips to the office. I also love that Gather keeps innovating and adding more features without raising costs.
Cons
I wish I could add more than one video on the memory page. I also don't like that the service times change depending on the time zone. This has caused confusion for several families, and now I have to add a note saying the service time is in Pacific time. If the time just showed in the correct time zone, there would be a lot less confusion.

“Smooth case management
Pros
What I've enjoyed most about Gather is the case management software. My firm operates a large cremation service, as well as a traditional funeral service and a livery service for embalming, transfers, and more. Gather lets me cross-reference my revenue, case reports, and client needs smoothly in a cloud-based system I can access from my home, office, or cell phone, wherever I am.
Cons
I haven't had any issues with this software and have been continuously referring it to my colleagues.

Pros
The software was easy to set up and super easy to train staff on and was really simple to implement with our team.
Cons
Initially, monthly payments had to be associated with a credit card, but we haven't been able to set up ACH payments.

I enjoy almost every feature I've come across so far but some of my favorites include single-point entry, the AI obituary assistant, and the collaboration features.
Cons
If there's anything I don't like, I suppose it would be that Gather doesn't interface with my answering service.

“Awesome team and nice chat feature
Pros
Gather is awesome to work with. We had a deadline for our website and after looking at other case management systems, they were able to accommodate us in a timely fashion and redo our outdated homegrown website. We're still transitioning, but the chat feature is great for when I have a question but don't want to email.
Cons
As of now, they're not connected to ASD or the firm we do our accounting with.

What I appreciate most about Gather is how it's totally customizable to fit the way we run our business. The integration with our existing processes was smooth and effortless.
Cons
The only thing I don't like is that when printing the statements, they print on two pages without being able to adjust it to fit onto one page.

“simple uploads and livestreaming
Pros
The system is so simple to use. I can upload obituaries to the website in just one click, and families can easily add personal details and pictures. The livestreaming feature is also a nice bonus.
Cons

“Easy remote access
Pros
We're big fans of how easy it is to access Gather from anywhere. It's been awesome being able to work remotely and even have families assist us from outside the funeral home. The card reader is a game-changer, and we're thrilled with how it calculates fees for us without any hassle.
Cons
So far, the only issue we've had is getting our old data (from 1996 onward) into the system. It seems to have a bit more than we really needed, especially since we're a smaller firm, but I'm grateful we can customize pretty much everything to make it work for us.

Gather is incredibly easy to use and what really sets it apart is their support team, they're always quick to respond and ready to help with anything you need.
Cons
It would be nice if there were more themes offered. We're in a rural community, and themes related to farming, hunting, or outdoor activities would be great to have.

“one of the best choices for us
Pros
After spending years handling things on paper and typewriters, we tried three different case management systems. Gather was by far the best choice. It's super user-friendly, even for team members who aren't tech-savvy. The website integrates perfectly with the software, and families love being able to work with the funeral director on obituaries, tasks, and invitations. The app is mobile-friendly, so our staff can access everything on the go, and it's simple to use. The support team is fantastic and we've had great help from the chat feature.
Cons
We all are completely satisfied with the software as it stands but we've been told that Gather is always working to meet the growing needs of funeral directors. We mentioned that integration with ASD would be really helpful and the team said it's a priority to look into whether that's possible. We haven't found any faults with the software or the support team.

It's incredibly user-friendly for both the directors and clients, making it effortless for everyone to navigate and get things done quickly.
Cons

“Professional look and outstanding support team
Pros
This software looks professional, and their customer service is great. We mainly use the live-streaming feature, and it's nice that they monitor the feeds and contact us if there's an issue. It's super easy to set up and use, even for someone without much tech experience.
Cons
The wired mics are fine, but a wireless mic that could be closer to the speaker would be much better.
