Powerful time-saving contract automation

Pros

I've been using this tool and it's incredibly powerful, it let our team automate very lengthy sales contracts that once ate up hours, now they take about 15 minutes to produce. Every week or so a new capability appears that genuinely improves our workflows and makes integration and data analysis smoother. They also haven't bumped the price despite all these additions. Honestly, I'd gladly pay a lot more for what it does (but keep that between us ,-)).

Cons

Right now, I'm looking forward to Salesforce integration once it's released, they've told us it's on the roadmap.

Secure migration and excellent support

Pros

We moved away from a setup that relied on Zapier, Typeform and Webmerge because it was clunky, getting pricey and didn't meet our standards for protecting client data. With Documate, each user is provisioned on their own AWS instance, so our information is basically isolated and locked down. Their support team has been phenomenal, they guided us through moving every document from the old system and made the whole migration far less stressful than I expected.

Cons

No complaints at this point. I've never seen a piece of software get sign-off from everyone in our company as fast as Documate did and the team is extremely quick to respond.

Simple no-code interview linking

Pros

it's a simple no-code tool that feels like Survey Monkey on the interview side and lets me link my documents to questions with no code. I spend only a fraction of the time on client paperwork compared to before. Best of all, it supports Macs and Apple devices, a first!

Cons

Over time, I requested a bunch of features and the team actually added them which is awesome. I really can't think of anything else I'd want. Their live support is also incredible, always there, even on weekends!

Fast form agreement automation

Pros

I found it really feasible to automate every form agreement my company relies on. Tasks that previously took me two hours now only take about ten minutes to produce. Setting it up was simple thanks to the drag-and-drop editor and I appreciate that it's compatible with Mac as well.

Cons

So far, I haven't noticed any real issues, it works exactly how I need it to. A longer trial would have been helpful, though, because I catch on to the tool pretty fast and the trial ends before I get the full hang of it.

Consistent document formatting and accuracy

Pros

I've tried other document automation tools that felt clunky, difficult to use and just unattractive. Documate turned out to be exactly the solution our firm needed. Automating our documents was feasible, it preserves our formatting perfectly (crucial for pleadings and files with logos and footers) and it reduces human error while improving consistency across our workflow.

Cons

Every bit of the cost feels worth it. In my first year, I didn't run into any problems at all. I even suggested a feature for our company and they implemented it. Their customer support has been great the whole time.

Huge administrative time savings

Pros

It's saved us a fortune in administration time overall. Our entire set of (very long) contracts and packet templates are built into the interview creator. Whenever anyone here needs to start a contract they launch the interview via the link directly. It's far quicker than spending half a day manually editing a document.

Cons

It's hard to think of anything I'd complain about. It would be nice, however, to be able to change fonts and colors on the outputs that clients see.

easy automation with strong security

Pros

Automation works well, it's simple, tidy and the output formatting looks excellent. For us in the medical field, the most critical aspect is a secure platform that provides a dedicated database to keep our web-based data separated. Their team made onboarding feasible by helping us get an Enterprise account and walking us through exactly how privacy, security and data deletion can be configured to meet our specifications.

Cons

Themes and color options aren't provided but they do let you add your own using CSS which works fine once you know how.

great roi and flexible workflows

Pros

Our company has gotten great ROI from Documate. I've been able to populate client information into both MS Office and Adobe files and pass my automated workflows to teammates so we all work faster. The platform is flexible and comes with clear documentation. Support is available around the clock whenever I have questions. I would definitely recommend it.

Cons

Nothing to complain about so far. Every time I've needed help or asked for extra features, the support team responds fast and takes care of it immediately.

Powerful ui with limitless capabilities

Pros

Documate feels like an incredibly powerful tool with virtually limitless capabilities. The user interface is simple to navigate and I especially appreciate being able to attach multiple source files to my output so they all fill in together. I run one interview that generates more than 30 documents and includes fairly intricate logic. They also offer bespoke services which I've hired a few times to implement SMS alerts and other tailored notifications. Before this I tried HotDocs which was incredibly tough to pick up. After only a five-minute walkthrough from their customer success team, I was up and running and those folks were excellent.

Cons

I haven't really noticed any downsides yet, everything seems to work smoothly. It would be cool to have more tutorials and example projects, though, so I could explore features I might not have thought of on my own.

Easy setup for small business workflows

Pros

For my event planning business, this program has become the go-to for producing agreements and price lists because it simplifies the whole process for me. It was super easy to get up and running since I didn't need any prior coding knowledge and it has saved me an enormous amount of time. These days I just share the link to my web-based "interview" with clients and they complete all the details from their side (they can even do it on their phones). There are lots of ways to customize things, yet I configured it so clients don't instantly see the finished agreement. Instead, I receive an email with the filled-out document that I can review and then send back to them when I decide it's ready. It's genuinely a fantastic tool for small businesses that want to avoid being swamped by document creation.

Cons

Their marketing seems focused on legal customers which I get but I think they're starting to branch out. I found the team extremely helpful, they guided me through setting up a workflow that actually fits my business and helped answer all my questions along the way.
