LexPI Features
Document Assembly
LexPI includes ‘LexDraft™’, the finest document generator for New York PI litigators. This module creates complex, court-tested pleadings that automatically conform to your unique case specifics, whether it involves a dog bite or a labor law claim. This capability ensures strict CPLR conformity, going far beyond basic form-filling tools.
Settlement Negotiation
The unique negotiation module grants users immediate, single-screen access to all necessary case information. This data includes financial history, lien statuses, disbursement tracking, and client records, which is essential for superior strategic negotiation with adjusters and opposing counsel.
Proactive Risk Management
The ‘Current Stage Screen’ and Inactive Screen automatically alert supervisors to cases that have stalled or lack recent activity. This prevents case neglect, proactively addresses Statutes of Limitation, and significantly mitigates the potential for professional liability claims. This feature is vital for firm accountability and oversight.
Case File Access
The exclusive ‘LexCloud’ feature allows an entire case file, including all notes, documents, and photos, to be uploaded into the cloud. This ensures continuous access to critical information via a smartphone, tablet, or any computing device with an internet connection.
Staff Productivity Monitoring
The system allows monitoring of staff productivity using criteria such as assigned calendar items and task workloads. Managers can flag uncompleted assignments and view individual output metrics to ensure optimal resource allocation. “document automation that saves time”
Pros
When the data is entered properly the software can produce a wide range of legal documents which saves a lot of time. it also has a notes section where I can record important client conversations so anyone else in my office using the program can quickly see what has already been done on the case.
Cons
A few of the documents still have glitches anditis frustrating to contact tech support whenever that happens. I also wish there were more law-firm-specific templates designed around the particular requests of different firms. At timesitcan slow down my computer and customizing documents to match the versions we normally use can be a hassle becauseitoften requires calling support to add special codes into the form.
