“Time-saving captions for social content
Pros
Lately, I've found myself choosing it more and more because it cuts down a ton of time when I need captions for the audio and video clips I share on Instagram. From my point of view, it fits nicely into my content routine and removes a lot of manual work I used to deal with.
Cons
Because I only use it once or twice a week, I feel the price is a bit high for my business. When my usage is that low, I can usually find other free services that will produce transcriptions and subtitles for my material.

“Constant updates that keep improving
Pros
What stands out to me is how often new features and updates roll out. I feel confident sticking with the service because it keeps evolving instead of staying stuck with the same tools year after year.
Cons
That said, I've noticed the recent updates have made the system a bit laggy at times.

“Reliable AI captions and transcripts
Pros
In my work, I use it as an AI-based service that turns video and audio into captions. I rely on it to generate transcriptions and subtitles that I can edit easily which helps me prepare business video content without slowing down my workflow.
Cons
When the media has a noisy background or the audio is unclear, the subtitles and transcriptions produced by it become highly inaccurate and we end up spending far too much time on manual corrections by our editors to make the output usable for our projects.

“Flexible transcription with team sharing
Pros
Over time, I've used it for both AI-based and human-powered transcription options. More often than not, I pick it to convert video files into written text because it makes documentation easier for me and lets me share everything with my team in one place for storage and later use.
Cons
Using the platform every day, I've noticed it tends to struggle when speakers have slightly different accents or when the audio is unclear, in those situations Rev's speed and accuracy drop noticeably which hurts my productivity and leads to more time spent correcting mistakes and reworking transcripts than I would like.

“Fast and accurate team transcription
Pros
As a team, we've grown to depend on it as one of the easiest platforms for transcribing audio and video files. From my experience, uploading a recording, paying by file length and getting a highly accurate transcript back within hours saves us a massive amount of effort and time.
Cons
That said, even after paying for the premium transcription service, I've noticed background noise still appears in some of the processed audio. This is something it should work on improving because those noises can really detract from the overall user experience and make the transcripts harder to use.

“simple design with steady results
Pros
For my own needs, the tool feels simple to work with and delivers steady results. I actually enjoy the no-frills design because it helps me stay focused and finish my tasks without distractions.
Cons
I'm worried about how secure my files are when I use rev.com, I don't know where my recordings are processed and I keep wondering whether my data might be sold or shared. The whole situation feels vague and leaves me uneasy.

“Quick turnaround for written content
Pros
In daily use, I rely on it to turn audio and video into high-quality written content. Most of the time, my transcripts are ready very quickly after uploading which makes it a valuable resource for keeping projects moving.
Cons
When I use Rev, it performs like an AI-powered transcription service and generally works very well but I've noticed it has trouble when recordings include a lot of background noise or when speech is unclear. Apart from those noisy or low-quality audio files, it produces human-like transcriptions and, in my experience, exceeds 90% accuracy.

“speed and accuracy combined!!
Pros
What I personally value most is the speed combined with strong accuracy. I feel confident using the output without needing to fix everything from scratch afterward.
Cons
I find it frustrating that I have to pay each time I want subtitles instead of being able to use a single monthly plan.

“Speaker detection that boosts productivity
Pros
Getting started didn't take much effort on my end. I followed a few clear steps and was up and running quickly. One feature I really appreciate is speaker detection which separates voices automatically and saves me from manually labeling them. Because of that, I move through transcription work faster, spend less energy on cleanup and free up more time to focus on editing and finalizing content. Those saved hours directly support my productivity and income which makes a real difference for my business.
Cons
One annoying issue I've noticed is that Rev's AI sometimes just drops words when audio is unclear instead of flagging uncertainty or guessing what might have been said. That behavior produces gaps in transcripts that feel like the conversation trails off, blank spots where a word should be, even though someone clearly spoke. It's frustrating because those omissions make the final transcript feel incomplete and less reliable.

“Automation that reduces manual work
Pros
the level of automation it offers is a huge plus. I find that it handles repetitive tasks well and lets me focus on reviewing and refining instead of doing everything by hand.
Cons
Occasionally I find it a bit complicated when I'm using certain features but that doesn't make it a bad product in my opinion.

“Accurate editing with fair pricing
Pros
What's impressed me the most is how accurate the transcriptions tend to be. I can edit while listening, adjust playback speed and fine-tune details without friction. On top of that, the pricing feels fair for the value I'm getting.
Cons
Honestly, there's nothing I'd alter about it, I find it to be an excellent tool that meets my needs.

“Unreliable paid version
Pros
In my experience, the interface is easy to work through. Uploading files and receiving transcripts happens quickly and the turnaround time usually meets my expectations.
Cons
When I paid for the AI transcription plan, it failed to reach the promised accuracy. Around only three quarters of the output were correct, so I had to go through and correct big chunks myself. That level of performance didn't justify the price, particularly because I had expected almost professional-grade results from a paid offering.

“Flexible AI and human transcription
Pros
On average, I use it several days each week for meetings, interviews and video work. It consistently delivers fast and accurate transcripts and I like having the option to choose between AI output and human review depending on the situation.
Cons
niche accents or very specialized technical terms trip up the transcription, so I often have to go back and make manual corrections.

“Meeting capture made searchable
Pros
For my professional life, it has become extremely useful during meetings. It captures discussions, turns them into searchable text and lets me revisit key points later. I especially depend on this when summarizing clinic letters or reviewing conversations. Having the app on my phone also helps when I'm moving between appointments.
Cons
I find Rev's interface a bit confusing which makes getting a recording and producing a transcript harder than it should be. The price feels pretty steep to me, so it's not economical if I only want AI transcripts and audio captures. I've also been frustrated by tight minute limits, because they hinder my research work.

“Fast mobile transcription for professionals
Pros
As a frequent user, I've grown very attached to Rev's automated transcription service. I usually get a full transcript within minutes which fits perfectly into how I work. Sorting and sharing audio from my iPhone feels effortless and that convenience pushed me toward a monthly plan. Being able to dictate notes or emails while driving and convert them later has noticeably boosted my output. I also use it alongside ChatGPT to refine ideas and expand on them which saves me time every single day.
Cons
Lately, it's been really annoying that exporting transcripts directly from my phone into ChatGPT has gotten harder. At first I could easily share transcriptions straight into my preferred AI tool but that option seems to have vanished and now the two apps are harder to integrate. Any update that makes it and ChatGPT work together more smoothly would be a huge help since I use them side-by-side all the time. Rev's built-in AI is okay and does a decent job but I still prefer to rely on ChatGPT for most of my follow-up editing and creative work.

“Consistent quality across AI and human options
Pros
Overall, I've been impressed by how quickly both human-created and AI-generated captions and transcripts are delivered. From what I've seen, the accuracy stays high across both options which gives me confidence no matter which method I choose.
Cons
I'd really appreciate an option to pick transcriptionists who speak multiple languages, because that choice isn't available right now.

“Helpful timeline with minor setup hiccups
Pros
I'm really grateful that it includes a timeline tool that neatly arranges all my evidence which makes it easier to structure my projects. In my current situation, where things are pretty difficult, that feature has been especially helpful for collecting and organizing crucial information without hassle. Even though I've only been using it for a short while, I find its systematic way of building evidence particularly handy. There were a few hiccups with the website at the beginning that made setup a bit confusing but once I worked through them and got everything configured, it turned out to be a reliably practical utility. It becomes even more useful when I connect it with services like Google which fits smoothly into my existing workflow. On the whole, my time with it has been positive and I'd rate my likelihood of recommending it at about an eight out of ten, reflecting real satisfaction with how it helps me manage important tasks.
Cons
The website was a pain for me because the setup felt confusing and made getting started more difficult than it should have been. At first glance I couldn't figure out what was required to begin. Beyond that, paying for the service bothers me, particularly since I can do many of the same tasks for free with other AI offerings like Gemini.

“Powerful transcription for podcasts and videos
Pros
the setup for it is incredibly easy and simple and I was able to get started without any hassle. The platform saves me a ton of time, mainly because I no longer need to sit through entire podcast episodes just to pull out the useful bits. I rely on it heavily for transcribing podcasts and videos from places like Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, especially when the material is structured, think business plans, medical or health protocols and workout routines. Both the transcription accuracy and the AI-driven analysis tools have been genuinely useful and I like that I can ask questions about specific clips. Compared with other services I've tried, it performs better for me, congreatating all my transcripts in one searchable spot where I can easily revisit and share them. That kind of efficiency and the orderly way everything is stored has made it my go-to and I'm very likely to buy it again.
Cons
My main gripe is how it organizes notes, I feel the system could be smarter. It would help me a lot if the AI could automatically link notes that cover similar themes so related ideas are grouped together.

“Easy integrations with existing tools
Pros
We really appreciate how effortlessly it links with the various tools we're using, letting us push files wherever they need to be, anytime and anywhere. It's incredibly easy to set up and to use.
Cons
Honestly, I can't think of any drawbacks, the subscription fee seems fair and I believe it's unmatched for teams that run large-scale transcription workflows, for a media organization like ours, it's simply unbeatable.

“Time-saving transcription
Pros
As a freelance writer, I conduct a lot of interviews that all need transcription and before I found it I used to spend countless hours manually transcribing every conversation. A client recommended it to me and I'm so glad she did because the service has reclaimed so much of my time and has saved my poor, overworked fingers. I'm also grateful they offer a subscription option which makes it far simpler and more affordable for me to use their service regularly.
Cons
That said, I find the AI-generated transcripts fairly accurate compared to other tools I've tried but there's still room for improvement.
