“Accurate multilingual transcription

Pros

I'd recommend this to anyone handling a large project. It delivers very accurate transcriptions in both Spanish and English. Speaker recognition feels around a 6/10 for me but that isn't a dealbreaker because transcription accuracy is what counts most. The interface is simple and I appreciate being able to download an entire folder instead of fetching each transcript one by one.

Cons

Paying 22 USD monthly just to keep an account active seems excessive and not worth it when I only have a few audios or videos to transcribe. Ideally, I'd prefer paying about 10 USD per month plus the hourly transcription fees.

“Ultra-fast ai analysis

Pros

Extremely simple, very user-friendly, accurate and speedy. I made good use of the AI theme-identification features with excellent results. Tasks that would have taken me over forty hours to finish were completed in mere minutes.

Cons

I didn't faced any problems at all. In NZ dollar terms it's not cheap (then again, nothing is!) but despite the price it delivered an excellent outcome.

“Outstanding spanish transcription accuracy

Pros

Best transcription for Spanish speakers (and I've tried SEVERAL apps before this one). It picks up every word I say with complete accuracy, even when I rush my speech. I was genuinely impressed that it handled Argentine Spanish so well, we don't use neutral Spanish here and many other services stumble over some of our local words.

Cons

Okay so.... I end up paying a monthly fee even when I don't use it at all. There are stretches where I literally have nothing to transcribe for a month or two, so it bugs me to keep paying for something I'm not using. Still, I really like the app.

Honestly, the transcription workflow is blazing fast and I get about 95% accuracy from the AI, it even handles German as well as English. After the automated pass, I usually only spend roughly 25% to 50% of the interview duration correcting the occasional mistakes. It's also MAXQDA-compatible. Having tested many alternatives, I genuinely think it's the best.

Cons

Honestly, I can't find any real drawbacks with it, nothing comes to mind that I would call a con.

Among the rare tools that support multiple languages and translations, this one stands out. I liked how simple the interface is and that I can export projects to programs like Adobe and Atlas.ti. The easiest part was correcting transcriptions quickly.

Cons

I wasn't thrilled that basic qualitative analysis is only available as a paid add-on. I would have preferred it to be part of the package, though I realize my subscription was a lower-tier license.

What I really appreciated was that I could quickly upload my coaching calls and make notes from the transcript which made reviewing sessions easy.

Where do I begin...first off, it failed to transcribe all of my calls correctly and would often render everything as if a single person was talking in long paragraphs which made the transcripts useless. On top of that, the pricing is vague and ridiculously overpriced for what you actually get. And the worst part, when I contacted support in a panic after seeing the charge on my account, they responded in a very rude, antagonistic way instead of calmly explaining why I had been billed and trying to retain me as a customer. Honestly, you need to hire better people because their attitude was completely unacceptable and left me feeling frustrated and unlikely to continue using the service.

Pros

As a video editor handling content in multiple tongues, I really appreciate that it automatically transcribes and translates into different languages. I find it makes my workflow so much simpler, since few other platforms give you that kind of integrated capability.

Cons

When I have to transcribe and then translate an interview, for instance, it ends up costing me twice as much, first it eats into my credits to transcribe the original language and then it consumes them again when I request a translation. I'd much prefer an option that combines both steps into a single purchase so I don't get charged double for one piece of work.

I'm genuinely blown away by it. It cut down the hours I normally spend getting the results I wanted and using it actually made working on the whole project enjoyable rather than a chore.

After spending some time with it, I ran into no issues, it felt very simple and I quickly learned how to operate the tool to finish the specific project I was working on.

We found the AI transcription absolutely phenomenal, landing almost 100% accuracy for our two-hour meetings.

I felt that the it Pro summaries weren't as thorough as the summaries we got from Zoom Pro. I honestly think it has the potential to generate much better summaries, since its AI transcription was hands-down the most accurate in our tests. What I'd like to see is an option for two tiers of summaries: a longer, more detailed version that pulls out elaborative points and a shorter bullet-point digest. That way the long-form summary would be clearly different from the concise bullets. It would be great if it offered Levels I and II for summarization plus an option to produce bullet points. I may be mistaken because I didn't get a chance to check whether it can be adjusted that way and in our case the agency secretary only needed a meeting-note style summary.

“Clear speaker separation for interviews

What I liked most about it was that I could clearly distinguish between the interviewee's and the interviewer's voices which made reviewing much smoother. It was also incredibly easy for me to edit the transcription text, even though it did a pretty good job transcribing, I still had to go through the document and correct the words the AI didn't capture accurately. Playing back the audio and editing the transcript felt surprisingly manageable, because it provides really convenient tools for that. Honestly, I would use it again, I mainly relied on it for interviews. it genuinely made the whole process easier. I used it for participants in my dissertation and for a focus group related to my institution's strategic plan and I've recommended it so the institution can consider purchasing a license.

Cons

When I applied it to focus groups where more than four people were speaking, I noticed the voice recognition struggled to separate the different participants and the interviewer. I think it still needs improvement in identifying each participant's voice clearly, because at times it mixed speakers or failed to tag who was speaking. Better accuracy for participant voice recognition would really help in those multi-person sessions.
