“Almost purposely designed to be frustrating
Pros
Nothing yet.
Cons
No prompts to proactively address errors while working in the system. Have to file and wait for it to be returned - sometimes a day later. Fix and refile and they find something else new and back it comes....

“Worst system I've used
Pros
What do I love about them?, let me think just kidding. There are nothing.
Cons
The customer support is a total runaround. You'll feel like you're on a merry go round, no one has actual answers. They just tell you to "contact your local courthouse," even though the courts don't see what we see as attorneys or paralegals. Trying to pull up client documents, court dates and other info takes 3 times longer than it used to because the system keeps throwing errors, no matter how many times you try with file numbers or names.

“Good tool, need to be more easy to use
Pros
I like how it allows me to access legal documents online, which is incredibly convenient.
Cons
What I dislike most about Tyler Enterprise Justice is pretty much everything else. It's hard to navigate and I can never figure out exactly what I'm supposed to do.

“There's so much room for improvement
Pros
The good feautures are its convenience, minimal expense and ability to file documents remotely.
Cons
Depending on the county, we have to use two separate e filing systems. This one has way too many glitches and redundant features or prompts. It seems simple at first, but there are constant delays, filings don't always go through and you can't always get proof of filing or acceptance. This is especially frustrating if you file after hours or on weekends. You have to wait until the courts open for assistance but most of the time, you're just referred back to Tyler Technologies. While the customer service reps are friendly, they're not helpful at all. Honestly, it's beyond frustrating.

“Super fast and efficient
Pros
Odyssey has helped us transition to a completely electronic filing system. The process has been simple for the staff to understand and the layout is very user-friendly for new users.
Cons
There are occasional glitches but so far, I haven't run into any major issues.

“Filing court documents is now a breeze with Odyssey
Pros
We no longer have to leave the office to file documents or spend money on postage to send filings to the courts. I also love how simple the system is. plus they don't charge per filing, only on filings that have an associated cost, which makes it much more affordable.
Cons
Cook County now uses Odyssey for filing and it's completely different from all the other counties in Illinois. I just hope I don't have to use it too often.

“Odyssey's case management system integrates the entire county smoothly
Pros
The idea of having a fully integrated, streamlined system that handles calendaring, case management, jail management, attorney management and financials all in one place is amazing. For a state or county, the overhead cost is dramatically reduced by using all of these features.
Cons
The lack of documentation, the absence of true subject matter experts and the constant turnover with the vendor are big issues. Once everything is set up, it runs smoothly with very few problems except when issues from the courts amplify or cause more problems when you're working with the client. It'll show you issues with your workstation, network, IPS, IDS and firewall misconfigurations.

“Doesn't meet expectations
Pros
A few courts in our jurisdiction have transitioned to Odyssey but it's expensive, clunky and somewhat sparse. Many documents are accessible in TIFF format, which can be inconvenient. Also if you use your email for one county, you need a different email for each other county, plus you have to pay a large fee to get full access to every countyusing Odyssey court management. Still it's nice to be able to retrieve and print filed documents.
Cons
So many documents are in TIFF file format, which is a pain. Honestly it costs way too much for what you get.
