I really appreciate the search function since it helps me quickly locate the document I need. It's also very useful that I can hide a document from other users when necessary. Another feature I value is being able to organize documents by transaction type.

At the same time the software has been quite unstable. We've dealt with frequent crashes, problems saving documents and times when documents won't attach to an email.

“Good tool”

Pros

Right away this software feels very easy for what it is designed to do. The system is accessible, flexible and dependable especially when it comes to searching indexed documents quickly and accurately. I would still recommend training since it helps users take full advantage of how powerful this tool can be for supporting a business or law practice.

A few of the more advanced security options can be hard to follow. While the Active Directory integration is very helpful, the Ethical Walls configuration has been somewhat confusing and definitely requires a solid understanding to set up properly. That said file security is critically important in a client server or domain environment so the complexity is somewhat understandable.

Being able to drag and drop emails straight into digital files works really well. It's also very convenient that I can select multiple items at once and move or copy them in a single action.

Cons

While you can drop emails into files, the items INSIDE a file can't be manually rearranged by dragging them up or down in the list view and that is an issue for me.

Working in a firm that handles a huge volume of documents having a system that can quickly pull up files by document type, name or even specific words within the text is incredibly valuable. It also does a solid job of keeping everything stored securely in one place that can be accessed from anywhere which makes managing and locating documents much more practical.

Cons

One issue I still run into is the loading speed along with occasional technical crashes or glitches. At times it forces me to restart the platform and sometimes even my computer which can be pretty frustrating.

Pros

The only thing I can give it credit for is that it lets me use it with a lot of other people which is nice. Beyond that I honestly do not have many positives to mention because I really cannot stand this software.

Everything about it is frustrating. I barely know where to start. The software looks like it was built in 1985 and it moves about as fast as a snail. The preset configurations are incredibly annoying and constantly get on my nerves. My boss even told me the other day that if you have not used a button in a while it can just disappear. I genuinely cannot understand how a button can simply vanish. On top of that every time you try to confirm a decision it makes you verify it again which is nothing but a waste of time. It does a terrible job sorting and whenever I run a query it usually cannot find the files I am actually looking for. Saving files from my computer only works about half the time. This is easily the worst program I have ever used and I would not recommend it to anyone.

“smart OCR”

Pros

Outlook integration isn't required so you can still use it in its own separate window (unlike some other platforms such as FileSite) and that really works well for me. It's also helpful that multiple searches can be open at the same time, there are several viewing options to choose from and the automatic OCR it runs is a big plus.

Cons

I'd like to see imporvement in the the window layout where it automatically adjusts and keeps its structure when the window is resized.

“work now manageable with this software!”

Pros

Working in the legal field is much more manageable with this software. All of our cases, files and documents are stored in this platform under our numbering system so locating the exact document we need is very easy. Even though the platform includes a lot of features it's still simple to figure out when searching for something specific. One thing I really appreciate is being able to choose the type of document I'm saving such as a preservation file, pleading and more. This was recently upgraded and the updated version feels much more modern while also being beginner friendly. It's also helpful that if I forget a client number the system can pull it from the database just by entering the client's name.

Cons

Even though the advantages clearly outweigh the downsides I still feel like I'm not taking full advantage of everything the software offers. Despite being properly trained and using it for a few years there are still many features I'm unaware of. I'd really like more visibility into those functions so I can make better use of them going forward.

“feels like google for documents with filters”

Pros

Using this software feels a lot like having Google for all of your documents. Being able to apply multiple filters to each document is something I really appreciate because it makes searching incredibly simple. Whether I need to run a broad search for a certain document type or narrow it down to find one exact file it makes the whole process very easy.

Cons

I don't have any complaints about it. They even keep deleted documents for a period of time which is incredibly helpful if someone on the network accidentally removes something and you need to recover
