Easy for beginners

Pros

Very easy to use. Even complete beginners can use it without any trouble.

Cons

I haven't come across anything that bothers me so far.

Bad user experience

Pros

The enrollment system makes it really easy to sign up team members for different courses. I can create custom learning paths and get people enrolled in entire tracks with just one action per person.

Cons

The overall site design feels somplicated, functionality leaves a lot to be desired and generating reports is a real headache. The experience has been frustrating both for me as an admin and for my students trying to navigate the platform. We're actually planning to switch to a different vendor that not only covers our needs better but does it with much more polished solutions. For an LMS, user experience should be a priority but it seems like an afterthought here.

Well thought out design

Pros

It's design is well thought out, making all the useful features easily accessible even if your not super tech-savvy. I can quickly get to schedules and teaching materials without any issues.

Cons

The calendar feature needs work. It doesn't integrate well with other calendar systems I use. This platform feels more geared toward corporate environments rather than educators like myself.

Easy to understand

Pros

Our team picked it up quickly. The layout just makes sense for daily workflows.

Cons

Reporting features are pretty basic and getting it to work with our HRIS system was a real headache.

Cost-effective option

Pros

The balance between functionality and ease of use really impressed me. While many LMS platforms are overly complex with steep learning curves and unused features, this one keeps things simple without sacrificing what you actually need. It's cost-effective too, our competitive analysis showed it costs about 25% of what leading systems like Cornerstone or Saba charge, largely due to its organized approach. The TinCan alliance was a major factor in our decision since we wanted to track informal, non-scored learning content and it works perfectly for that. Mobile deployment is smooth. Instead of having separate desktop and mobile interfaces, the primary interface adapts beautifully to both platforms. We also needed multiple branded user interfaces, which it handled without any issues. The built-in e-commerce engine is robust and would be fantastic for companies selling content.

Cons

The branded interface customization is pretty limited. You either need serious technical skills or have to pay the vendor to handle it. There's no built-in social learning features like other LMS platforms offer, though it does integrate with third-party social tools (which could be good or bad depending on your needs). We needed learners to add their own content to the system but had to create a workaround by giving them limited admin access to make it work. Also worth noting, this is strictly an LMS, not a full talent management system. That was actually perfect for us since we didn't want talent management but others should keep this in mind when choosing.

Doesnt scale well

Pros

The support team was helpful at first and responded super quickly to any questions I had.

Cons

As our company expanded, I found myself needing features that just weren't available. While it served us perfectly for three years, the limited functionality became apparent when we outgrew what this basic system could offer.
