Powerful yet simple for all users

Pros

It is simple for both learners and admins to use without losing any powerful capabilities. We also like the option to use API and Single Sign-On.

Cons

Because it is such a large company, there are lots of feature requests. So if you need a new feature, it might be a long wait for it to be built and that's only if it gets the green light. But they are good at making sure requests fit their overall plan but that can be a downside for the user experience.

fantastic 24/7 support

Pros

Their customer support is fantastic. The 24/7 phone line has been a lifesaver for me on numerous occasions. I also like that they are always rolling out new features.

Cons

The price is a bit high but that's not really my decision to make so I cannot call it a true con. There are also a few things in the interface that you are not able to modify.

Cons

umm the enrollment process has too many steps. Like requiring users to pick a specific session just makes everything more confusing and takes up extra time.

Navigating Absorb LMS is pretty simple. Also using Absorb Create to build courses has significantly cut down the time it takes.

Cons

The Absorb Create team is not as accessible as the main Absorb support team. So it would be helpful if we could reach them directly by phone.

Love the simplicity and value

Pros

The simplicity, the product's value and the customer service are all things I love and I could go on and on! I mean there are so many positive things to mention.

Cons

It would be great if we could download content from Create into a PowerPoint format. That would make it much easier to share with external clients before we officially launch a new training.

user-friendly but a learning curve

Pros

This is a user-friendly LMS that provides several benefits for companies wanting to simplify their training. The interface is also clean and easy to navigate for admins and learners alike. It allows for customized learning paths with flexible course setups and automated enrollments and it really betters admin work like assigning courses, sending reminders and tracking certifications.

Cons

The biggest drawback is that it is almost too flexible. There is a real learning curve to get it set up and running. The implementation team was great but it still took us months of trial and error to get everything working the way we wanted.

easy for our whole company

Pros

Our company is new to having an L&D team but with 1,200 unique logins in the first month, everyone adapted to Absorb really well because it is so easy to use. The admins also had no trouble getting started and can easily run reports and manage assignments.

Cons

I am really happy with the tool but I'd love more flexibility with the data in the core system. Some grids let you build custom reports but the available fields are not always what I need, forcing me to run and merge several reports. I'd also like more import tools, similar to the user and enrollment uploaders such as being able to import courses from Excel for historical data or manual migrations.

A smooth and simple system

Pros

Everything from the initial setup to daily navigation has been smooth and simple. With their new skills and mentoring features, they are set to be a real game-changer in L&D. Plus the ability to brand the dashboards is also a great plus.

Cons

Uploading courses and adjusting their settings can be a slow process, though they are working on a bulk settings feature to speed it up. Another drawback is the lack of a preview option for dashboard changes.

Cons

Some sections in the admin portal have layouts that look similar but do not feel entirely consistent. So a more unified design would make it easier to use.

Pros

The interface is excellent for both users and administrators as it is easy to use and accessible no matter your skill level.

Cons

To me the e-commerce features feel limited, missing some standard upsell options. There are also display limitations for training for example, you cannot create multiple public-facing landing pages with different training offerings on each.

Absorb has grown on us!

Pros

Ive really come to admire how simple Absorb is. We have been giving more freehand to our trainers to experiment with the LMS for a couple of years now . They are all of the view that Absorb is very easy to use and it makes their job much more convenient!

Cons

I sometimes wish there were better reporting options built directly into the software but since these types of reports are only needed once or twice a year its not that hugeof a deal for someone like me who uses it on a daily basis.

Missing ecommerce and marketing features

Pros

The thing I appreciate most about Absorb was the reporting features. I love that I can customize reports and set them to automatically generate on a schedule.

Cons

I dont agree with the way you are allowed to customize the learner dashboards. I found them lacking in how I could organize the courses in a way suited to me. Also more native ecommerce and marketing features to better support my needs for an external LMS would have been appreciated. I do wish they introduce these features soon.

Top choice for LMS

Pros

It feels like a full package. Everything is really well organized and it's easy to trace all the activity happening. I also like that it's affordable for external users. The Creator mode is a great bonus too.

Cons

Managing files and importing users by department works fine for me but it can be pretty slow sometimes.

Fantastic customer support

Pros

The support and communication have honestly been amazing. We've never used anything like this before, so I was kind of nervous but the team walked us through everything step by step. The system itself is user-friendly and helps us keep track of all our staff training really well.

Great for any size business

Pros

I've been using the Absorb Create tool and I love how easy it is to make training content that actually looks engaging. You don't have to spend forever making a short course. Plus, their built-in courses help lay the groundwork for our whole team and then we can tweak things as much or as little as we want.

Cons

I think it would have been better to have a clearer understanding of what's an extra cost during the pre-sales process. Overall, sales and implementation were great, but there was so much information that I didn't really get into the details of what's included in the base price versus what costs extra.

My experience with Absorb

Pros

What stands out to me about this tool is how flexible and customizable it is. As someone who used to teach, I appreciate being able to build training that's tailored to our industry and compliance needs. It's helped us onboard new hires way faster and our teams can grow their skills more efficiently. I also like that It listens to feedback and keeps improving. Sure, It'a difficult to use at first but once you get the hang of it, making courses becomes pretty smooth.

Cons

Sometimes, you really need support when setting things up. I ran into an issue where I couldn't join an "office hours" session because they didn't have enough availability. Luckily my rep connected me with someone who helped me out with a Zoom call and we were able to troubleshoot the problem together. I really appreciated that personal touch in getting things fixed.

Smooth Integration

Pros

It has a ton of features and lets you set things up in all kinds of ways. For us, we were able to split up our global trainer network so each one had their own department and could run their courses and manage registrations separately. It's made course delivery and reporting a lot easier and more effective.

Cons

What we liked least is actually one of Absorb's strengths, there are so many ways to configure courses and curriculum that it can get a little overwhelming at times.

Best tool ever!

Pros

The user interface is highly customizable and responsive, the reports run fast and the admin side is mostly pretty interactive to work with.

Cons

I think the ADP integration was overhyped in terms of what it offers right out of the box. It has quite a few limitations especially with the fields it includes and it can't handle more than one instance for user sync.

Excellent onboarding & feature integration

Pros

We've been using both AbsorbCreate and AbsorbLMS together and it's been a great combo. The onboarding process was smooth and helped us go from nothing to a solid first set of content within a few months. We also rely heavily on the AI Voice Over feature, it saves time and gives our content a polished, consistent audio.

Cons

We couldn't integrate our mail system with our own email server due to compliance issues, so we had to stick with the default "no reply" email option.

Good but UI/UX could improve

One thing I really appreciate is that it supports different file types like SCORM which gives us more flexibility in how we deliver our training content.

Cons

While it's a decent LMS, I'd recommend that their team work on improving the UI and UX for everyone involved, admins, instructors and learners. The current UI isn't very user friendly and looks outdated.

Excellent Support with Easy Interface

Pros

I have been using this platform in my role for several months now and putting together reports has become a lot easier. Adding users is simple and whenever problems pop up, Greg Law is very helpful and quickly sorts things out for us.

Cons

We often run into a difficult re-activation process for returning learners, it can become quite confusing at times and we find ourselves needing to go through the steps far more frequently than we'd prefer.

Easy to use & fix

Pros

I find the navigation very clean and interactive for both admins and regular users. You can accomplish pretty much anything needed to deliver courses and curricula to groups without fighting the interface. The customization tools are impressively comprehensive and genuinely helpful, every toggle and setting includes a clear explanation so I know exactly what it will change.

Cons

I can't really point to any major issues that bother me. The small hiccups we ran into right after getting started have mostly been ironed out through subsequent updates and the new features they've pushed.

Powerful learning management solution

Pros

Honestly, the interface looks clean and is exceptionally easy to get around which made daily use easy. The implementation itself went off without a hitch because their support team was incredibly responsive and stayed with me through every step of the setup. What really impresses me is the depth of customization, we could fine-tune both the visual branding and core functionality exactly to match our needs. That level of customization played a major role in my decision to adopt this platform.

Cons

the rule that only allows one user per department does help keep things orderly and organized but it also causes friction because it doesn't fit many of the different situations we run into.

Our guide made the change easy

Pros

the backend is incredibly interactive which makes creating courses easy so our learners can always get up-to-date information. I can choose to build simple, accessible modules or go all-in with AI, embedded videos and voiceovers to make content more engaging. Having a dedicated Client Success Manager means my many questions are answered quickly and I am constantly discovering new ways to improve our courses. Our CSM Olga is patient, creative and proactive, she made moving from our old platform completely simple.

Cons

There are a handful of features I really want that aren't offered yet but they do allow us to submit requests to their development wishlist for future updates.

outstanding support & reports could be better

Implementation went off without a hitch and I am really pleased by how simplely it hooks into our current systems. The feature set addresses all of our needs and the Knowledge Center was a huge help as I learned the platform. What I value most is the customer support, it's top-notch. Our CSM, Olga Mendoza is phenomenal, she has deep expertise, a pleasant demeanor, replies quickly and continually adds true value to our collaboration.

Cons

I think the reporting tools need improvement and when I first took on the admin role nothing felt interactive whatsoever. After spending some time understanding the structure, though, moving around the system becomes a lot easier.

Works well after a bumpy start

Pros

What really stands out to me is the platform's flexibility, it lets me do so much from pulling detailed reports and analytics to building courses, using engagement tools, and customizing design. It genuinely feels robust, fulfills our needs and keeps surprising us in a good way. Coming into this with no prior LMS management experience, I was happily surprised by how interactive and approachable the whole thing is for both administrators and learners. Whenever I walk partners or potential collaborators through our site, they're consistently impressed by the visual polish, the user experience and how simple it is to maintain. That positive reaction has directly helped us land business and hit broader company targets. Not to sugarcoat it, there's a lot going on under the hood, so sometimes tracking down solutions isn't immediately obvious but once you understand how the pieces fit together troubleshooting becomes much easier. I'm grateful our client success manager, Greg Law has been so helpful, he's been patient, knowledgeable and a reliable resource as we learn to operate the platform and expand our usage.

Cons

there isn't much I actively dislike about the platform. Our implementation project manager didn't provide a great experience, yet everyone else on the team was very knowledgeable and patient with our nonstop questions while we decided if this was the right fit. A few limitations are frustrating, though. For example, the Max content library courses don't have languages auto-assigned, so they aren't discoverable by language unless I manually add that metadata. That becomes a huge headache when you're managing 20,000+ courses, it felt like a manual data-entry nightmare. The support team did step in to help populate those language fields for us, but that work was outside their typical responsibilities and fairly tricky. It really seems like something that should happen automatically. We also bumped into problems with bulk edits, such as changing categories for a bunch of courses at once. The only option was to update items individually which was very tedious. Fortunately, an update came out shortly after our rollout that addressed this, so that particular annoyance has since been resolved.

Does almost everything we need

Pros

I needed an LMS that wouldn't overwhelm people logging in for the first time and would actually drive adoption across our whole company. The administrative tools had to be simple so several team members could jump in and manage content without confusion. This solution ticked those boxes and went beyond what we were expecting. Rollout was smooth and whenever small problems popped up, the support team fixed them fully and fast.

Cons

I'd like to see more flexible reporting options especially when it comes to tracking overdue employee training, right now I can view a manager's name but there's no way to export their email addresses for a mass mailing, which makes following up much more cumbersome. It would also be great to have bulk-editing capabilities for managing courses such as the ability to upload spreadsheets to change many courses at once or to map competencies in groups. At present, the import tools feel fairly constrained compared with what I need for major updates.

Comprehensive Solution

Pros

Appreciate being able to build and upload content in a wide variety of formats and then tailor the experience for both our internal teams and outside partners. The platform brings document management and distribution together in one place and the AI capabilities are especially helpful. Integrations are easy to set up and the interface feels interactive, which lets us push out new materials far faster than we used to. On top of that, their support team was very helpful when we had to reorganize our LMS after acquiring another company.

Cons

the PDF export feels like it needs improvement. Figuring out how roles, groups and departments interrelate was confusing at first and it took quite some time before I really understood the setup. I wish there was clearer, more practical documentation to guide me through configuring those elements correctly.

simple for everyone to use

Pros

I am genuinely impressed by the admin interface, it's easy to use and loaded with practical tools. On the learner side, the experience is equally simple, the interface is neat and inviting without feeling overcrowded. My favorite part is how much freedom we have to tailor the visual aspects and overall tone across the platform. The automation features are excellent as well, saving us a ton of manual effort. Working alongside the support team has been a really positive experience through both implementation and the day-to-day upkeep. Everyone we've interacted with has been helpful and informed, which made scaling our usage far less painful than I'd expected.

Cons

A big irritation for me is the reporting, it could use a lot more polish and capability. Absorb Analyze Essentials covers the basics and works but it feels like it's lacking the richer analysis and advanced options that would really elevate it. What truly gets under my skin is there isn't a simple bulk enrollment feature, I'd like to just upload a spreadsheet of usernames and enroll everyone into courses instantly instead of having to rely on tagging by department or job title first. It seems like such a fundamental function that should already be available.

Positive experience with great support

Pros

This platform juggles scheduling for in-person training and logs attendance, and at the same time makes assembling and publishing e-learning modules really simple while tracking completion rates. The configuration options are simple and flexible enough to be tailored precisely to our requirements. We are able to distribute a wide variety of content throughout the organization, everything from short quizzes and resource documents to full-length courses and more, depending on the audience. Sharon, who is our customer success manager has been absolutely wonderful to work with. She consistently shows enthusiasm to help whenever we raise questions or face problems. Even if she doesn't have an immediate answer, she takes time to dig into the issue and comes back to us promptly with either a practical workaround or a reliable fix.

Cons

the reporting feels fairly restricted because we don't have the Absorb Analyse add-on. Many of the reporting tools we lean on appear to be gated behind premium plan tiers, even though I consider some of those capabilities to be basic reporting needs. There's also a bit of ambiguity around Create, it exposes certain quiz and setting options but the admin interface mirrors many of the same controls. We end up unsure which configuration takes precedence, or whether we're overlooking something important.

Smooth Setup and Support Experience

Pros

had a fantastic onboarding experience, they provided a really adaptable process that could be customized to what I needed whether I wanted help with the initial setup or a guided tour of every feature. Mark, who led our onboarding sessions was very supportive and attentive the whole way through. The platform is feature-rich but the standout for us was the advanced API capabilities that allowed us to connect it with our primary communications and procedural systems. Because of that integration, we've been able to automate a lot of internal processes and training workflows.

Cons

I think the user experience needs quite a bit of work. The tools for filtering users and courses aren't as sophisticated or interactive as I've seen elsewhere and the dashboard feels overcrowded, it could really benefit from a cleaner layout and some streamlining.

guided step by step

Pros

I really love how interactive and easy the interface is. Their team personally guides you through every stage of implementation which keeps things simple and stress-free. Even though there are numerous LMS choices, I feel this one distinguishes itself through their commitment to giving each client hands-on, individualized support.

Cons

Honestly, I think the biggest downside is just how extensive the customization goes, you can easily lose hours fine-tuning the LMS and crafting dashboards for every imaginable use case. My advice is to define a firm launch objective up front, since you can always layer in additional features later on.

Customizable and easy to use

Pros

love that I can tailor the branding, allowing us to turn this platform into our own custom learning management system.

Cons

I notice the content library often doesn't line up with the particular needs and requirements our business has for training material.

solid platform but needs enhancements

Pros

their customer support team is really helpful and I can use the platform with incredible ease. The admin interface is interactive and didn't require much of a learning curve for me to get comfortable using it.

Cons

It comes across as pretty rigid and it doesn't automate many of the things I need it to handle. I also feel the reporting tools are definitely lacking and could use some significant upgrades to make them genuinely useful.

Helpful but not smart

Pros

My experience as a learner has been fantastic! It makes learning and monitoring my progress really simple and approachable. Our customer success manager, Sharon is unbelievably helpful and always steps in to support us with anything we need, she comes up with clever workarounds and shares practical tips!

Cons

the admin side needs improvements to simplify how I manage learner tasks and evaluations. I still face a fair amount of manual steps that should be automated, features such as bulk actions would genuinely reduce effort and make my work a lot smoother.

awsome support team with rigid system

Pros

Sharon on the support team has been absolutely outstanding, I've seen her reply quickly and consistently come up with inventive workarounds that let us reach our objectives even when the platform itself limits what we can do. I also find the whole support crew to be very responsive.

Cons

I am finding the LMS itself fairly rigid and short on flexibility. I wish there was a feature that would allow buddies to see a concise dashboard of their learners, something similar to the managers' view but available to people who don't have manager or admin privileges. In many cases the buddy isn't the learner's manager, so having that visibility would be incredibly useful for day-to-day support.

Helpful but not flexible

Pros

Greg Law has been amazingly patient and helpful whenever I've had questions. He really cut down on the hours I would otherwise have spent hunting for answers on my own.

Cons

its hard to pinpoint exact pieces of information when I'm looking into very specific topics.

Great support and easy Interface

Pros

Uploading training materials is incredibly simple and I find managing user accounts actually very easy. I can edit things quickly without any issue.

Cons

My only con is that I'd like to see more advanced customization options aimed at power users.
