“Excellent UI and self-paced
Pros
The user interface and overall experience felt excellent for me. I was encouraged when I could take a course without paying upfront and I liked that I could complete the training at my own pace without pressure.
Cons
All the material for my course was only available in video format which made it harder to review certain points. Having text-based resources alongside the videos would make learning more flexible.

“Wide variety of free & high-quality courses
Pros
My favorite part is the wide variety of courses that are available. They offer high-quality knowledge and since many of them are free, ongoing learning feels much more accessible to everyone, including me.
Cons
So far, I haven't noticed any real downsides. Alison is easy to use and offers a wide range of free courses.

“Valuable Certification Courses
Pros
For me, Alison really stands out because their certification courses are directly connected to relevant certificates. I find this very important and it's one of the main reasons I enjoy using it.
Cons
One drawback is that the certification costs are only revealed at the very last step, just when learners want their physical certificate. It would be much more transparent and helpful if these charges were clearly shown upfront.

“Flexible Learning Schedule
Pros
Alison gave me the flexibility to study when I was ready to focus. I liked being able to rewatch the videos as many times as I needed which helped me understand the lessons better and learn at my own rhythm.
Cons
Some tests felt too lengthy and a few students mentioned that the questions didn't always focus on the most important details that should have been assessed.

“Great Industry Courses
Pros
In my experience, Alison always provides a wide variety of well-presented courses that fit closely with our industry. I've seen how students can quickly pick up new skills and gain knowledge that not only helps them grow personally but also benefits our company as a whole.
Cons
It would be very helpful to have simple integration with the latest Google Pixel app so that both staff and students can access learning materials remotely without limitations.

“Great learner support and resources but no course deregistration option
Pros
What I really appreciate are the resources Alison provides to support learners. I get reminders to study, I can easily see the courses I'm currently doing, the ones I've completed and the ones where I need to purchase certification. I also find the tests, like the Emotional Intelligence assessment, very helpful because they guide me in understanding myself at work. The career questions and course recommendations are practical and the support team always makes me feel guided and encouraged.
Cons
Currently, there is no option to deregister from unwanted or mistakenly enrolled courses. This leads to having an unnecessary bulk of courses attached to an account. As an administrator, I often enroll unintentionally while browsing for learners but removing those courses is not possible which complicates management.

“Valuable for Upskilling
Pros
For me, one of the strongest points of Alison is the wide range of courses that connect with many different industries. Here in Kenya, I've noticed that it even offers courses that help organizations upskill their employees, making it very valuable in today's job market.
Cons
As an LMS Administrator, I'd really appreciate having access to learners' contact details and emails. This would make it easier to follow up with them whenever they face challenges or need support.
