“Focused hiring with job simulations

Pros

We were really struggling to find properly qualified candidates for our open roles before we started using this tool. In marketing, where people come from a wide array of career paths, counting on resumes alone to decide who to interview was often misleading and impractical. By building realistic job simulations inside the platform, we've been able to downplay resumes and instead concentrate on each candidate's actual potential to perform the job, which has made our hiring decisions much more focused and practical.

Cons

“Multi-role hiring in one platform

Pros

As a member of a fast-moving startup, we're hiring across every function and I was worried we'd end up juggling one assessment tool for our R&D roles and another for everything else. When we found this platform, I really appreciated how many different roles it supports, allowing us to evaluate candidates across engineering, data and other teams all in one place. That gives me real confidence that we're making the right choices about who to bring onto the team which is hugely important for those early hires. They also offered pricing plans that actually work for a small company like ours which made adopting the tool a lot easier.

Cons

The only gap I found was that they didn't offer built-in tests for our product designers but we were able to devise a workaround to assess them effectively.

Pros

I'm really impressed with the data we get from candidates' test sessions, it's incredibly detailed and useful. I can actually follow them writing their code live which feels like I'm sitting right beside them during the test. The way scoring works is clever and highly adjustable to our needs. The library of tests makes it convenient for me to tailor and construct interviews that match my company's specific requirements. Using this platform saves me a tremendous amount of time because I end up interviewing only the strongest applicants. I trust it completely!

I don't have any complaints, I genuinely enjoy working with this platform and use it often.

“Automated campaign data assessments

Pros

In our marketing roles we handle extensive campaign optimization and dig into lots of data. We rely on this tool's built-in Google Sheets tasks to give candidates concrete datasets they can analyze and manipulate right inside the assessment environment. Every cell in those spreadsheets gets automatically validated and scored for us and that automation has saved a huge amount of time, especially because we used to hand-check each candidate's responses.

Cons

For our hiring process the platform worked really well. I couldn't find any features or tools that I needed but were missing, so it covered everything I expected and didn't leave any gaps for our recruiting workflow.

“Highly customizable project tasks

Pros

Everything about this tool is incredibly easy to customize. We rely on it for our home projects that mirror the work we do on our team, these aren't just coding-challenge style tasks but multi-day or multi-hour assignments (you can also remove time limits).

Cons

I'd really appreciate it if the coding questions offered support for Ruby as one of the languages.

“Ready-made tests for startups

Pros

As the founder of a startup, Canditch proved extremely useful when we kicked off our first hiring efforts. I lacked the expertise and resources to design pre-employment assessments for fields I wasn't familiar with, like R&D and marketing positions which were our first focus. The ready-made test materials I got from this platform were simple to adapt to our product and company culture and they saved me a significant amount of time I otherwise would have spent building tests from scratch on my own operations.

Cons

No issues to report, this tool genuinely helped me get unstuck in a part of the business where I felt completely lost.

“Efficient early-phase hiring workflow

Pros

When you're launching a new company, the early phase gets insanely busy. Between 10,001 daily tasks, it's nearly impossible to find the time and resources to properly vet and assemble the core team. We found that incorporating this tool into our hiring workflow saved us an enormous amount of time, it let us leverage ready-made assessments, distribute those tests en masse to candidates and then return structured results that made it convenient for us to decide who deserved to advance. Honestly, without this platform we would've struggled to move as quickly, it became a crucial part of how we evaluated and picked our initial hires.

Don't have any complaints so far, we're genuinely happy with it.

“Candidate report and scoring ease

Pros

We absolutely love the candidate test report page, it makes it so convenient for our team to check each candidate's assessment scores and then quickly give a thumbs-up or thumbs-down when deciding whether to progress them. On top of that, it's extremely easy for our hiring managers to jot down and submit their comments on the candidates' tests.

Cons

I had hoped we'd be able to message candidates through WhatsApp right from within the platform but currently that capability doesn't exist in this tool which is a limitation for our workflow.

Pros

We take advantage of this tool's built-in Google Sheets questions to give candidates datasets they can manipulate and analyze right inside the testing environment. Every cell in those spreadsheets gets automatically inspected and scored for us which has reclaimed an enormous amount of time since we previously had to go through and grade every single candidate response by hand.

Cons

only numbers inside cells are eligible for automatic checking and scoring. Still, the support team helped us come up with a workaround to validate non-numeric entries which was really helpful and made the limitation much less of an issue.

Pros

We really value that our sales engineers combine selling ability with technical know-how. To mimic real sales situations we ask candidates for video replies and free-text answers which helps evaluate how they'd handle calls and draft emails. And when it comes to the technical pieces, we can conveniently test coding and SQL capabilities.

Cons

I don't have any real complaints, the whole process felt simple and smooth, from the initial onboarding all the way through distributing the tests.

“SQL assessment with job simulation

Pros

We haven't found any other solution on the market that lets us assess SQL abilities in the same way this tool does. With it, candidates can execute queries that replicate our actual internal database straight inside the testing environment, just as they'd be doing on the job. Since the platform automatically validates and scores each candidate's queries, it frees us from spending hours manually grading tests and has allowed us to broaden the pool of applicants we consider and invite for interviews.

Cons

Honestly, I can't think of any drawbacks, for me the platform is extremely convenient and very easy to use.

“Combined technical and client evaluations

Pros

Back in 2020, when I was hiring Data Consultants for Optimove, I was one of the early users of this tool. Filling that role was particularly challenging because we needed candidates who could combine strong customer-facing abilities with great data analysis and technical expertise. With this platform, I customized assessments to test both skill sets together and the outcome was hugely positive with measurable results. We cut our in-person interview time by half while noticeably increasing the caliber of candidates we advanced to final interviews and ultimately brought on board.

Cons

There's nothing about it that I dislike. Of course no software is flawless but in my experience this one is by far the best option available.

“Fully customizable testing platform

Pros

I haven't found another testing platform that gives me this level of customization. In the past I've used services that let you tack a few custom questions onto their existing material, yet they always came with limits. With this tool I can design an entire exam completely from scratch if I want to, a full one-hundred percent build. There's also the convenience of pulling from their content library but that's just there as an option when I don't need it.

Cons

Haven't found any problems while using this tool. It simply works and behaves exactly how I need it to.
