At one stage this felt like a solid solution for converting PowerPoint files into SCORM and it had some features that seemed genuinely promising. Those capabilities could end up being really valuable as the product matures.

Later on, the focus shifted heavily toward AI. Along with that, a lot of the usual human touch disappeared and some of the features became less user friendly than they used to be.

Pros

It's pretty easy to use and the customer support has been genuinely helpful. The whole setup feels agile and quick and I also like that you can add all kinds of learning content without much hassle.

Cons

Something I'd change, activities like true/false and fill-in-the-blanks open as separate pages. If those were included within the same page, the learning flow would feel smoother overall.

What I like most about Easygenerator is how easy and super user friendly the tool feels especially when you want to build E-Learnings quickly without any IT or programming skills. The content can be created right in the browser and the interface guides you logically through each step so nothing feels confusing or out of place. That setup makes you much more efficient, learning modules get produced significantly faster than with many other platforms.

Cons

Only part I'm not fully happy with yet is that there isn't a direct integration into HubSpot. For our needs, it would be really helpful if learning activities and user progress could automatically sync with our CRM. That would make it possible to trigger campaigns or follow-ups on the fly and also view training data directly in the customer context.

You get lots of options for setting up an interactive training and at the same time it also comes with a pleasant, user-friendly app experience.

Cons

There is, however, one small downside that the trainings look a bit white because you don't have the option to choose a background color or a background photo.

The app's simplicity really stands out for me, along with the clean look and feel throughout. I also appreciate how well it supports teamwork with other authors especially with the reviewer function included. Also, the built-in avatars make the training feel way more engaging and motivating, you genuinely feel personally addressed, not like you're going through something generic.

Translations into different languages still don't fully make me happy at the moment. Switching from English to Japanese works better than going from German to Japanese but I'm building on the fact that this will improve over time.

Creating new training content is really simple and adding AI has been a total game changer for speeding things up and improving results.

Controls feel genuinely good. Even without prior experience, you can quickly and quite purposefully create online courses with the tool.. which is exactly why, in my opinion, it's a great fit for user-generated content. The DeepL translation feature and the automatic SCORM update in the LMS are especially practical because you don't have to export the file separately every time.

A small nice-to-have would be a few more layout and design options so courses could be presented differently depending on need.

As the name already suggests, the authoring tool stands out above all for its ease of use. New learning modules can be created quickly and you also get appropriate support. This lets you prepare knowledge in a much more targeted way and provide the learning material in a structured manner.

It feels like putting Lego together.. the logic is easy to follow and you get into the flow quickly. On top of that, the tool works extremely fast and offers a really large selection. What I find especially positive is that the community is continuously growing and genuinely listens to users.. you can tell that feedback doesn't just get lost

One wish would be more connection between the individual trainings and stronger active linking. I'm also currently missing a bit of versioning and a larger library would make the whole thing even more well-rounded.
