“ExamBuilder replaced our LMS

Pros

Now that I can directly upload our training videos and PDFs into our ExamBuilder account, we no longer need a separate LMS. I am happy that I have a one stop shop for everything. With training, exams, certificates, and reports all in one place, the program is incredibly user-friendly. The customer service has been outstanding as well. I love the fact that we don't have to rely on our IT Team to generate reports for management anymore. Having everything online has been extremely convenient, especially with the increasing reliance on remote access. There's no need for us to download or maintain anything; we can simply log in and get the work done. It's also saving us money!

Cons

I have no complaints. I only wish we had switched to this software sooner.

Pros

Adding and editing exam questions is easy. I can easily cut and paste from any program. The updates are simple and don't require me to relearn everything. The reports are designed to benefit us without extra hassle.

Somehow, and I'm not quite sure how, if someone doesn't submit before the 48-hour deadline, the exam remains active and connectable in the system. There should be a flag or an email alert for the instructor to let them know that the student has exceeded their allotted time. I haven't noticed this problem for a while, so it's probably been addressed already. If that's the case, I don't have anything negative to say about this software.

Pros

For the most part, this software is really simple to use. Loading and customizing exams is easy. Our clients register with us, and I just input their information into the software. With just a few fields filled in, we're all set. I get instant notifications once a student completes their exam, and results are available immediately and are easy to understand. I can set it up and forget about it.

There's really nothing I dislike about this product.

The software is extremely easy to handle, from adding new users to creating exams. It makes the whole process smooth and hassle-free.

My biggest issue, or at least the one that pops up most often, is editing an exam after it's been activated. This usually happens when I need to fix a typo before the test, but the process of activating and deactivating to make edits is the most troublesome part for me.

ExamBuilder is perfect for larger companies with employees who need exams in multiple languages. I can create questions in any language I choose and sort employees by their country and the exam version they need. This allows me to gather better stats for regional reports. The variety of statistical analysis options is excellent!

Cons

Even though the exam questions support multiple languages, the interface is only in English. This is not a big deal since most of our administrators are bilingual.

Pros

The software is very approachable and intuitive. Being able to add images and use hot spot questions is invaluable for ultrasound education. Customer service is excellent, addressing any issues almost immediately. If video could be incorporated, I'd give it a full five stars. It's been a pleasure to use, and tracking tests and students is easy.

I'm excited for the video feature! Aside from that, this software is fantastic, no complaints.

This is an effective and simple solution for managing our software application certification program. The reporting features are great, letting us track results by exam and individual. It saves time, making our exam administration much more efficient with ExamBuilder. Students like getting their results right away. I also appreciate being able to review statistics on individual questions, which helps ensure our exam questions are accurate.

I use the reporting feature to generate a topic list for study focus when a student fails an exam. The team at Exambuilder might be able to automate this process.

Our exam takers value how easy the system is to use. Administrators can quickly process orders and assign exams, plus make adjustments like adding time, resetting practice exams, and more.

Setting up was incredibly fast. When I chose ExamBuilder for our training and testing project, I needed something up and running quickly, and I definitely made the right choice. The system is completely intuitive, no learning curve at all. I also enjoy adding images and videos directly into my exam questions.

Cons

The only thing I can think of is the lack of a public exam link for anonymous exams. Each test-taker needs their own login, but that's not really a downside since it's better for me to see the names of those who took the exams and those who still need to.

The data analysis features help us refine our exams to enhance learning. With the tools available, we can easily identify poorly worded or confusing questions, evaluate training effectiveness, and track individuals needing additional support. Hot spot questions are a great tool that streamlines test writing.

Cons

Our IT department maintains very strict security, and we often need them to create additional paths for viewing images. This tends to frustrate them.

It's very accessible. Adding and removing students, creating and scheduling exams, and generating reports are all easy and intuitive.

Cons

Integration into our department was smooth and well-received. It offered flexibility and made our monthly in-station EMS training simpler. It also reduced our paper use to nearly zero. My least favorite aspect isn't really a complaint; ExamBuilder is continually updated and improved, which means a near-constant learning curve for the administrators. We usually manage to figure it out, and if we get stuck, Support team is always available and incredibly helpful!

There are restrictions on the PDF size you can upload, and there's no option to add 'essay' questions to the tests.

Pros

ExamBuilder is quite intuitive whether used alone or integrated with other systems via the API. Once we integrated it with our website and implemented SSO, scheduling and taking exams became even easier. Customer support has always been exceptional and very responsive, which has been a lifesaver more than once.

Cons

I love to see the addition of "credits" associated with exams and more flexibility in reporting. We managed to get everything we needed from the existing reports, but it required some external management.
