good product that considers feedback

Pros

Overall I'd say the product is good. There is definitely still space for it to get better but they do accept and consider requests for possible changes and tweaks.

Cons

One feature I'd love to see is an integrated report error button within the online courses themselves. If a learner spots a typo or a mistake in the content, they could flag it directly using that button. The report should then go straight to the person who created the course, preferably with a note about exactly where the issue was found.

Familiar powerpoint feel with many options

Pros

It feels familiar like PowerPoint, makes it simple to add external media and offers lots of options for creating interactive elements.

Cons

With so many options available I noticed that the platform can be quite complex and is not always clear or easy to figure out on your own.

a simple way to build lessons

Pros

iSpring Learn provides a simple way to build lessons and there are plenty of templates to choose from.

Cons

Recording my screen did not work very well. My voice ended up sounding like I was talking underwater.

Knowledgeable and helpful service teams

Pros

Their IT and customer service teams are knowledgeable and very helpful. They are almost always reachable and dependable.

Cons

Some of the features are difficult to understand and as a result, tricky to implement in a smaller workplace. To me the system seems much better suited for a larger company.

easy training creation with great support

Pros

Creating computer-based training courses using PowerPoint is easy and publishing them is simple too. Plus the support team is one of the best I have ever encountered.

Cons

The reporting tools need to be enhanced to help businesses that require specific compliance reports. Also not being able to store finished PowerPoint files directly into OneDrive or SharePoint is very inconvenient and creates extra complications.

User-friendly and solid for most needs

Pros

The platform is user-friendly and solid though it is not a completely full-featured LMS. Still it works well for most people, offering various tools, a course creation suite and the ability to add different kinds of tests and components.

Cons

It is missing some common features that many people would expect as standard parts of a learning management system. For instance, it does not have much of a gamification interface or ways for users to collaborate with each other.

easy to use with well-designed features

Pros

iSpring Learn is easy to use and understand. Plus it comes with a well-designed set of features, especially suited for small and medium businesses beginning their e-learning journey. The platform also sets a high bar for ease of use. The online guides are useful too and the support you receive is dependable.

Cons

The system for managing user permissions could be a bit more adjustable for our specific needs. As for now it operates on a strict hierarchical department structure. So we organize a couple of our subject areas differently than the tool expects us to, which causes some friction.

simple and appealing with great support

Pros

The platform is simple to use and has a nice, appealing look. It performs its core functions very effectively. Their customer support is among the best I have experienced with any company.

Cons

It is missing a handful of functions and cannot perform all the tasks that some other competing systems are capable of.

Cons

I was a little confused at first about the distinction between the catalog and the knowledge base but thankfully my trainer cleared that up for me.

great support for new users

Pros

I am just getting started but I am already able to publish and configure my courses. Whenever I have questions, I get in touch with support through the online chat. This happens almost daily and the support team always helps me resolve my doubts.

Cons

Till now I have not yet figured out how to build my own custom reports. But since I am still learning the platform, I cannot say for sure that the option is not there.

User-friendly for global teams

Pros

This is a very user-friendly package, especially when you do not have a dedicated learning and development team. Our users come from member companies all over the world and they have found accessing it and its design easy to manage. From a support standpoint, the team is quick to respond and explains things in a way that is not overly technical. Overall it is a great solution when you lack a specialized internal team.

Cons

With so many possibilities available, it is easy to get caught up and accidentally make things more complicated than they need to be.

easy course building from powerpoint

Pros

iSpring lets us build course modules directly from PowerPoint and it comes with appealing slide themes that are really helpful, making course preparation much easier.

Cons

As per my observation the settings for customizing interactions and media playback could be enhanced by offering a wider range of choices.

offer outstanding setup support

Pros

iSpring offered the best support during the setup phase and the customer service team remains available and quick to respond. Another major benefit is being able to begin with a simple PowerPoint file as our starting point.

Cons

Whenever I am building an interactive element or a quiz, which opens in a new window, the rest of the software and my entire project locks up and I cannot do anything else. On top of that sometimes the interaction itself crashes and instead of just closing the window, the entire integrated element gets completely wiped from my project, even from the original source files.

simplifies content management

Pros

It is a very user friendly and easy to use platform that simplifies creating, managing and monitoring educational content. Another huge advantage is that trainees can access the materials whenever and wherever they need, enabling a self-directed learning pace that works with their personal schedules. The customer support is also great as they respond quickly and pay close attention to every request we submit.

Cons

The BambooHR integration they offer does not function like its supposed to, which forces us to manually import users and makes managing them much harder. However the customer support team is excellent but it would be incredibly useful to have a more structured and hands-on approach during the initial setup, guided by a clear, step by step implementation plan.

Outstanding support for new users

Pros

As someone new to both my job and to iSpring, I have found their online guides, customer support team and training webinars to be outstanding! I have gotten clear answers to all my questions and have successfully taught myself how to use the various programs included in the iSpring Max subscription. I particularly appreciate how simple it is to include voiceovers and narration in our training materials to make them more accessible.

Cons

Well the way our learning paths are structured means I frequently need to place the same single course into multiple folders so learners can find and enroll themselves. Umm there might be a way to do this, but I have not figured it out yet so I end up uploading the same course separately into each folder for self-enrollment. Plus I wish I could just select multiple destination folders at once. I am also really hoping they add narration features to the iSpring Cloud/Page microlearning services soon.
