Perfect for adding excitement to dry topics

Pros

Kahoot! is perfect for adding excitement to topics that are usually pretty dry. Since my team has to review a lot of compulsory policies it gives us a much more enjoyable way to go over that necessary material as a group.

Cons

Honestly I have not run into any problems as the whole experience has been smooth and enjoyable. Putting together tests and setting the right answers is completely hassle-free for me.

A lively system for boosting interaction

Pros

It is a lively and great system for running quizzes and gathering input. Really works well for us as a tool to unite a crowd and boost interaction.

Cons

I'd really like to get a better grasp of its features so I can customize quizzes for my audience. And maybe some extra guidance on how to use the app more effectively would help.

Tailored teaching but a restricted entry plan

Pros

Having access to so many different features is a huge plus for my teaching. It means I can tailor the material for various lessons and really capture my students interest.

Cons

The most basic paid tier feels pretty restricted to me with only three main options especially when you see how much more helpful and adaptable the pricier plans are with their extra tools.

worked the best

Pros

We had a great time using it for a pharmacology review session in class where it prompted everyone to join in with questions and answers.

Cons

No complaints to share at the moment as it is working fine for us.

allows building quizzes and a massive library

Pros

My favorite part is definitely building quizzes from scratch for my class especially since I can add pictures. There is also this massive library of ready-made quizzes from other users that you can bookmark and use whenever you want.

Cons

A few of the more advanced tools are locked behind the most expensive subscription. I'd prefer if everyone could access them regardless of their plan.

Turns studying into a game but questions are limited

Pros

It turns studying into a game which helps our students maintain their focus for much longer stretches compared to traditional review methods.

Cons

The character limit for both questions and possible answers in it makes it tough to ask more complex questions or ones that require deeper thinking.

Really easy for training and team-building

Pros

Throwing together interesting training sessions for staff or planning team-building events is really easy with this. It is something that clicks with every age group in our workplace.

Cons

I'd really like an option to display all the final scores and rankings right on the leaderboard screen after a game. Right now you can only download the data to a spreadsheet. I mean it would be great to see everyone's placement and responses there. Also the pricing for bigger teams or company-wide events gets pretty steep.

Misleading pricing and confusing controls

Pros

Everything about it is bad. The pricing model feels misleading, the main control panel is overloaded and confusing to navigate and getting any help from customer service is a lost cause.

Cons

They are always pushing you to sign up for a monthly subscription but then without clear warning it switches you to a yearly plan as soon as you try to complete the purchase.

Incredibly user-friendly and enjoyable

Pros

Kahoot! platform is incredibly user-friendly and brings a sense of enjoyment that appeals to all sorts of people. In both my previous and current roles, I have turned to it time and again for running various training sessions.

Cons

Honestly there is nothing bad to say about it at all. It makes the whole learning process a lot more enjoyable and I genuinely cannot think of a single downside to mention.

Top-tier & engaging

Pros

It is a top-tier tool for getting students involved and holding their attention.

Cons

My class absolutely loves it and would happily spend ages on it which sometimes happens right when I need them to focus on the actual lesson haha!

gets the whole class participating

Pros

With Kahoot! I can get my entire class to participate actively and enjoy themselves during a lesson. It has a special way of making every topic fascinating which keeps students concentrated and on track with their work.

Cons

It is a really solid and well-designed platform. The only small issue I have noticed is that occasionally not all my students can join right away and I have to restart the session to get everyone in.

fun and engaging, activities not customizable

Pros

The atmosphere in the room lightens up almost instantly. People are having such a good time with the game that they do not even notice they are actually learning something in the process.

Cons

There are plenty of pre-made activities available but we cannot really adjust or edit them to better fit what our specific students require. I think it would be much more helpful if these resources could be customized. As that would make things easier for teachers and lighten their prep work.

An excellent fun review tool

Pros

It is an excellent interactive tool that lets you review classroom concepts and assess them in a way thats fun, pleasant and genuinely interesting.

Cons

There are limits in the choices you have. Though there are already a few things you can do but I think it could let you do even more stuff.

has declined

Pros

I really value being able to design my own quiz sessions with custom questions.

Cons

It has really gone downhill lately. I mean it is frustrating! It used to be a pretty decent tool for making learning appealing and fun for students. But recently the developers are pushing things too far. You constantly get ads at the start that nobody wants to see. I pay for a subscription, not to be annoyed by ads. I have also had pop-ups claiming my subscription was not paid, even though it's valid for another six months. And before, you could properly save quizzes you created as PDFs using PDF24. That feature has become extremely unreliable now. You have to find workarounds to save things which just takes more time.

Pros

What really stands out for me is how it promotes teamwork and gets everyone interacting.

Cons

I was using a free version but now it has introduced a paid tier that comes with a lot more features but it is out of my reach for now.

Pros

The fact that I can personalize quizzes is my favorite feature because it lets me develop material that aligns perfectly with our lesson plans.

Cons

An enjoyable group experience

Pros

It is an enjoyable experience for the whole group and serves as an excellent method to measure both enthusiasm and understanding of the subject.

Cons

There are quite a few sound and visual effects that could potentially pull attention away but overall it's still the best tool we have found for a fun break during the workday.

fun combination of games and learning

Pros

The combination of games and learning is what makes Kahoot so much fun. Also it is very simple to use and very helpful. Giving students a short, fun break during lessons while they answer questions, all using a cute and silly screen is a great bonus.

Cons

It is a really distinctive and hands-on platform that has always delivered a great experience for our team. So no cons to share.

Dynamic and attention-grabbing design

Pros

I must say the whole look and feel is dynamic and really grabs your attention. You can set up all kinds of quiz games with it or even test knowledge on a training platform and now they are adding in some clever AI-powered features too.

Cons

The cost of the subscription feels pretty high to me especially when you look at what other similar platforms are charging.

learning feels like a game

Pros

Checking what my students know is so much better with Kahoot because it feels like a game rather than a test. Overall it is lively and holds their interest.

Cons
