“A powerful and easy system
Pros
I run all of our new hire training and I can honestly say this is my favorite onboarding platform by a long shot. What sets it apart is its ability to create these custom, branded portals for different groups, it's incredibly flexible. On top of that it acts as my mission control for everything administrative: I can automate reminders, gather feedback with evaluations, run detailed reports and even issue official certifications the moment a course is completed. It just makes my job so much easier.
Cons
the mobile application is the least appealing aspect for me. My coworkers and I have encountered restricted functionality within the app and at times the interface becomes sluggish which reduces mobility and detracts from the otherwise smooth experience.

“easy to use and set up
Pros
The SSO integration was simple to set up for me and the platform itself simple to operate making it effortless for me to administer accounts and allocate training courses to users and as an end user I experienced a clear, uncomplicated workflow.
Cons
I'm unsure whether the few integrations were an intrinsic limitation of the product or a result of decisions by our administration because apart from the SSO connection we didn't have any other systems linked although to be fair there wasn't a strong necessity for additional integrations.

“Costs more but worth it
Pros
Their interface is exceptionally interactive and user-friendly and it also offers a broad set of powerful features that allow me to deliver training journeys and track their outcomes effectively. Also support has been excellent from day one through to today and I regularly see the product roadmap introducing compelling new innovations.
Cons
Although it is somewhat pricier than several of the other solutions we assessed, I believe the investment has already paid off by providing a significantly improved user experience coupled with stronger support.

“great features with some issues
Pros
In my administrative role I appreciate the Dynamic Rules feature and I thoroughly enjoy the available Knowledge Base which proves helpful for learning and for figuring out missed steps.
Cons
When performing batch uploads the system forces me to include username fields and I would appreciate an option to use email address criteria instead because I have noticed that the main portal's user listing does not refresh its display in the same way it does while managing users within the external portal listings.

“It changed our training completely
Pros
When I switched to LearnUpon it literally resolved every issue I had wrestled with while running a DIY LMS. It supplies all the functionality I require plus a wealth of additional features I never even imagined possible. It has genuinely revolutionized how training and "learning" operate within our organization and the customer support provided by LearnUpon is simply unmatched, representing an enormous advantage for someone like me adopting a packaged LMS for the first time.
Cons
NO CONS and our team is extremely satisfied with this tool. After relying on a custom-built LMS, experiencing a professional solution has been so impressive that we struggle to point out any genuine shortcomings.

“great reports need auto assignments
Pros
I have been able to tailor our learning pathways and monitor crucial metrics around both team performance and product knowledge which has been invaluable for us. Additionally it lets me build content directly or import SCORM packages depending on the need and the reporting suite is excellent and highly adaptable so I configured weekly automated reports for all department leaders that arrive in their inboxes without any extra effort.
Cons
I'd really like the option to schedule course assignments to go out on a specific date because when we're preparing for an upcoming product launch next month it would be ideal to build the training now, pick the assignment date and the target teams and then have the system automatically deploy it so I don't have to manage it manually later.

“switched easily now it's simple
Pros
LearnUpon has proven to be an outstanding partner. Their strategic guidance during our migration ensured a perfectly tailored setup, and the platform itself has exceeded our expectations. We've seen a dramatic reduction in user support tickets thanks to the simple interface, and it has unlocked new levels of cross-department collaboration. Now, groups across our agency can independently design, deliver, and track training for their teams with incredible ease.
Cons
A consistent pain point for our learners occurs when enrolling in courses with live sessions. The system allows them to enroll in the course itself without securing a spot in a specific session. This two-step process is not intuitive, causing learners to assume they are registered for the live event when they are not. Despite our efforts to clarify this with reminders, the initial registration flow remains a primary source of confusion and support requests.

“The best support team
Pros
I particularly value the exceptional support I receive from LearnUpon which consistently makes managing my responsibilities far more manageable and less stressful than it might otherwise be. The support team not only reacts quickly but also demonstrates remarkable patience and attention to detail when they address the enquiries I submit and whenever I request help I am met with timely responses that convey a genuine eagerness to assist. Rather than leaving me to interpret technical answers on my own, they take the time to explain solutions in a clear, concise fashion so that I truly understand the rationale and steps involved. What impresses me most is their skill at translating complex information into approachable guidance without making me feel foolish for asking follow-up questions and that respectful, nonjudgmental tone significantly strengthens my confidence. All of these elements together mean that the quality of LearnUpon's support is a major contributor to my overall positive experience as an administrator.
Cons
Although the platform functions well, I feel that the Admin Dashboard could be improved with enhanced features specifically by offering easier access to catalog course links so that locating and sharing those URLs would be more simple and efficient for my workflow.

“strong platform with small issues
Pros
Support staff reply very quickly to our department's queries and resolve issues efficiently. I typically receive an answer during the same workday without fail.
Cons
Learners should have the ability to retrieve the certificates they've earned after their access periods end. At present that capability simply doesn't exist. I would appreciate the platform offering a more streamlined quick-view and comprehensive, filterable overview of the metrics that matter to our team, because the improvements made to 'Enrollments' such as enhanced filtering and bulk unenrollment showed how powerful those tools can be and I would like to see similar functionality applied to Learning Paths. At the moment, it is difficult to understand how groups map to their assigned learning paths and I need Excel-like filtering across all user and engagement data. Finally when I'm searching for courses or users, I want page navigation controls at the bottom so I don't have to repeatedly click back or forward through the result pages.

“Our helper makes it great
Pros
Using it has dramatically reduced the amount of time I need to spend managing resources. By consolidating all of our materials into a single, one-stop location for users, I'm no longer sending out a string of separate emails. Also it has allowed us to enrich learners' virtual spaces with additional content which delivers greater value and improves the overall user experience. The standout element for me however is our account manager who routinely touches base and suggests creative approaches that help us organize our services even further, continually uncovering new efficiencies we hadn't considered before.
Cons
A number of the companies we work with enforce very strict IT security policies and as a result LearnUpon's automated emails sometimes bounce when users attempt password resets which then requires me to handle the resets manually. Even so I'd prefer to perform that extra administrative work myself if it makes sure that people can get into our courses and continue learning without delay.

“easy and fun for learners
Pros
It is very easy to use and I value the gamification mechanics, points, badges and certificates that help maintain learner engagement. The reporting functionality is dependable and provides me and my team with the clear, actionable insights we need to monitor progress and outcomes. Support has been excellent in my experience with the team responding quickly whether I'm dealing with a technical issue or simply asking a quick question.
Cons
While I appreciate the simplicity, the native authoring tool is fairly basic and restricts me to only adding text, images, videos and links without any interactive elements so I typically create content in an external authoring tool and then upload a SCORM file into LearnUpon as a workaround. I've also observed that fonts and image sizes can shift when I publish a course, which sometimes causes text to look off or images to be cropped, meaning I have to publish and test several times to get the visuals right. Finally once a course is published I can't make major structural edits like adding a new module without creating a new version which becomes difficult to manage if learners are already enrolled or if multiple versions start accumulating on the dashboard.

“Changed our training methods for the better
Pros
For our organization it has fundamentally changed how we oversee and distribute training content primarily because the platform is so easy to set up and administrate that onboarding and ongoing management are much less burdensome than before. I've also observed that recent upgrades to the reporting suite deliver far more detailed, actionable analytics that help guide our decision-making and strategic planning.
Cons
Would like to see much stronger integration with Microsoft products and systems given that those tools form the backbone of our daily workflows and it would organize many processes if they worked more seamlessly together. “custom fit for our community
Pros
Genuinely I value how easy it is to operate both from an administrator's standpoint and as an end user because the interface and controls are intuitive and require minimal training. Also the navigation is exceptionally clear and the extensive customization options have been critical for our non-profit which operates in a niche way that differs from typical organizations allowing us to tailor LearnUpon precisely to our requirements so we can effectively engage and serve our wide audience across Pennsylvania.
Cons
At the outset we encountered challenges because the platform required each username to be formatted as an email address which posed a significant barrier in the human services sector we serve where digital literacy has traditionally been deprioritized among our participants. however the support representatives collaborated closely with our team and together we devised a practical workaround involving email-formatted usernames combined with disabling automatic emails, maintaining that approach until the general public and our user base began to adopt digital tools more broadly as a result of the shifts brought on by Covid.

Pros
This year when Dialpad rolled out the Dialpad Delivery Partner Program, it gave our channel partners the opportunity to become certified to deploy Dialpad offerings and I leaned on LearnUpon's platform as a dependable, feature-rich LMS to build out the program, orchestrate and maintain course content and surface analytics about learner activity and program performance. We managed to rationalize our chart-development methodology, swiftly connect and work with existing SCORM course packages and refine the certification workflow to be more efficient and on top of that the ongoing engagement and support from our LearnUpon Customer Success Manager has been invaluable delivering timely proactive updates about new LearnUpon capabilities that have helped us iterate and strengthen the program.

“LearnUpon's Ease of Use Matches Their Level of Support
Pros
LearnUpon is very easy to learn. Even though I consider myself quite tech-savvy, I had no prior experience in instructional design before working with LearnUpon. Surprisingly, that wasn't an issue at all. I am now successfully managing our online learning platform through LearnUpon. While we currently utilize the basic features for our needs, someone with a little more experience could effortlessly create an even more visually appealing and engaging user experience. The customer success and support teams at LearnUpon truly make using the system a delightful experience. It's rare to find a company that genuinely cares about your satisfaction these days.

“Brought our L&D forward although with some challenges
Pros
Switching to LearnUpon has made a monumental difference in how we deliver our onboarding and training. Previously, we relied on Excel and Microsoft Stream, which pales in comparison. Uploading videos and adding headings is relatively simple with LearnUpon. However, aside from that, I can't find any other positives about the system.
Cons
As an administrator, I find the platform overall cumbersome, slow, and challenging to navigate. My main concern lies with the layout, as there is no labeling indicating the number of pages of courses available. Instead, I have to click through each page to reach the end. Additionally, when creating a new version of a course, the previous course is archived but still remains in the courses subpage. The platform's customization options are limited, and it lacks the ability to create a unique course format beyond the standard headings, text, video, and quiz. During my time using the platform, I noticed minimal progress in its development. While communication with our representative was good, there weren't many noticeable changes that stood out to me.

“Fast setup and great service
Pros
Our organization transitioned from having no learning platform to adopting LearnUpon in a matter of weeks, a turnaround that based on my past experiences where similar deployments with other vendors consumed months genuinely surprised me and the speed of onboarding was impressive. Equally noteworthy has been the caliber of customer service and coming from me, that endorsement carries weight because everyone I've interacted with across Sales, Account Management, Customer Success and Customer Support has been consistently helpful and responsive and in fact any team member I've worked with has demonstrated competence. Regarding features and functionality, the implementation itself was relatively simple and integrations with our SSO, Microsoft Teams and Zoom were simple to configure. Because it was purpose-built from the ground up, it includes the core capabilities necessary to administer users, groups and courses effectively and my team and I access the system every day while learners regularly use it for onboarding, compliance tracking and professional development.
Cons
There are a few quirks that I have noticed and to illustrate when a learner account is disabled there is no obvious visual cue in the user listing so you must click into the individual's profile to confirm status which is inconvenient although workarounds exist, they impose extra steps on administrative workflows. It would be beneficial to allow custom content to be placed on a learner's Home page to tailor their experience and additionally I would very much appreciate a search-reporting feature that shows which keywords users searched for which searches returned results and which did not, since that insight would help us optimize content and navigation.

“best support, needs prerequisites
Pros
At my organization we use it for both our internal training and the courses we provide to customers and the platform's learning portals offer an effective way to keep those tracks distinct. I have to say that the support experience stands out as my favorite aspect whenever my department has encountered a problem our CSM and the support team members were prompt to hop on calls, answer emails and they even followed up afterward to confirm we were satisfied, which I find top-notch.
Cons
One area I'd like to see improved is the ability to indicate which courses should precede others because as we continually add new content I want to ensure that the most relevant learning paths remain prominent and easy to navigate. It would be helpful if prerequisite functionality existed so, for example, Course A must be finished before Course B is even visible to learners or at least that Course B remains visible but clearly communicates that Course A needs to be completed first.

“automated our training perfectly
Pros
I've discovered that the capability to define groups and enforce dynamic rules across those cohorts has permitted us to automate a large share of the learner experience, removing burdensome manual tasks and streamlining workflows. The platform itself is so simple to use and the supplemental training resources they provided, together with guidance from our implementation consultant, transformed what could have been a painful rollout into a pleasant and well-supported onboarding. Because we had no prior experience with an LMS before LearnUpon, getting it configured from scratch while adopting best-practice approaches as we progressed was surprisingly simple.
Cons
We're not finding any shortcomings with LearnUpon at this time since it has delivered precisely the functionality we anticipated and even exceeded our expectations in several areas, leaving us eager to observe how the platform continues to evolve in step with our organization's growth.

“Great help for unique needs
Pros
I find LearnUpon's customer support to be the single most outstanding aspect of the platform because their genuine customer-centric approach is evident in every interaction and task they handle.
Cons
Given that we deliver training to learners outside our own organization, I have found that no LMS truly meets the particular requirements we have.
