Superb tool to use

Pros

The reliability of the software is very high, and it is much more stable compared to other products.

Cons

It would be important to allow more concurrent users with fewer limitations.

A great learning solution throughout the pandemic and beyond

Pros

I valued that course curriculums could be organized efficiently with all subsections and essential files, and that I could discuss course content with other users. The notification system is linked to the student email portal, providing reminders about deadlines or course/meeting updates.

Cons

I think it's unnecessary to have all changes reported through email. It would be enough to have notifications within the Moodle environment, except for specific communications that require emailing.

Moodle LSM is convenient to use especially to students.

Pros

The pros of this software include easy access and great convenience for us students to download tasks or activity files. It's also an easy way to submit assignments, and I can easily find my subjects because they are already displayed; just click on the subject, and you go directly to your tasks.

Cons

The downside is that it loads and refreshes slowly with a weak internet connection.

Best companion for studying

Pros

Classes can be excellent with this platform since teachers can gather all study materials and share them with everyone.

Cons

The platform could be more accessible because it takes time to adapt to and understand. However, there's always a guide available to help you understand how to use it and maximize its features.

A simple basic LMS

Pros

Moodle, being a well-established platform, offers a wide range of pre-built features to meet business needs. For any additional requirements, there are community-developed plugins available.

Cons

Moodle is a great platform with a few drawbacks. When many students use it at once, it can slow down, and the messaging feature may have delays. Other than these issues, there are no significant drawbacks.

The real standard for the industry (and it is free)

Pros

From my personal experience, I can confidently say that this platform is user-friendly, comes at zero cost, offers numerous optional features, and seamlessly integrates with Hotpotatoes.

Cons

There's nothing negative to say. I use Moodle in my institution, where its personalized and well-managed, and it suits my needs perfectly.

Great for your studies

Pros

This is a fantastic tool for studying. You can have all your documents there, add homework, see training sessions... it includes everything.

Cons

The only issue is that it does not include all of the courses I've taken in the past. If it did, it would be perfect.

Very Usefull

Pros

The certification system is easy to install on the server and is available on CPanel for free. It has impressive features for uploading and downloading lecture notes and providing students with online course content. It's easy to learn.

Cons

You can't set up timetables for lessons and exams, and emails can't be sent directly from Moodle. It also lacks offline capabilities.

Strong user community

Pros

I've found the platform really simple to use, set up and customize to fit my needs. There's also a big, active community of users and a broad assortment of plugins and themes to choose from.

Cons

One frustrating aspect for me is the lack of documentation for some plugins which can make troubleshooting and customizing them more challenging.

Simple to handle learning material

Pros

It makes it simple to handle the learning and course materials. I find it fairly simple to use.

Cons

Appearance-wise the software needs a lot more work than it has now. As someone using it for learning, I don't think being an educational tool means it must appear so dated.

Wide range of tools

Pros

Moodle offers a lot of different tools and I find it really simple to move through its various tabs.

Cons

I'd appreciate having more video walkthroughs or YouTube tutorials for topic-specific help since those would make understanding concepts much easier for me.

Open-source free system

Pros

I'm glad that it's an open-source system and free to use.

Cons

I don't really get to see everything it can do because I'm mostly taking assessments and training, not exploring its full set of features, settings or administrative capabilities that are available to instructors and managers.

Comprehensive solution for learning

Pros

Whether I'm a student, a lecturer, an employer or an employee, it pretty much provides everything conventional education systems do. I especially love that it pings me about upcoming deadlines which is a real lifesaver and it makes it hard to accidentally miss submitting something. With a single login I can follow every step I've taken in my learning journey. It also gives me control over what shows up on my dashboard which keeps things tidy. On the professional side, I appreciate that it feels secure, supports flexibility in how I work and that customer support is responsive and helpful.

Cons

The interface could be more appealing to students. Even though most people use it mainly for learning, I still feel there's plenty of opportunity to jazz up the look and make it more engaging for younger users.

User-friendly LMS

Pros

Back in high school, from ninth through twelfth grade I used this program. It's really user-friendly and served as an excellent learning management platform.

Cons

I find the collaboration tools seriously lacking and they don't meet my expectations for group work or real-time interaction.

Great for creating online quizzes

Pros

I've noticed it's quite versatile for building online quizzes, offers strong LDAP integration capabilities and provides an easy-to-use certification system that I find simple.

Cons

Personally, I'm disappointed that it can't be tied into my data visualization tool. I also find the interface bulky and clunky and I wish it supported automatic account creation or self-registration for users.

Top choice for online learning

Pros

Now that we've shifted to online learning, it stands out as a top choice. It's an engaging, effective and really easy-to-use interactive learning platform. Because I manage employees and interns scattered across the country, I need a dependable way to keep everyone engaged and help grow our team and Moodle fits that role perfectly.

Cons

It can sometimes act up with unexpected bugs that make it a bit irritating to use especially during online tests. I rely on those quizzes to judge how well my team understands the material and when the platform glitches, it feels like it cuts corners and makes accurate assessment harder.

easy to use

Pros

I'm impressed by how easy it is to use. It's consistently handy and I can always find my way around so I have no complaints about that.

Cons

Not particularly. Apart from maybe the dashboard, I feel it could be cleaned up and presented in a neater, more polished way.
